Most of the places at or near the boardwalk that I use to frequent are long gone. First times I went there was in the 1960s. At the beginning of this video when you walk in and suggest the Giant Dipper, that whole area is new and is where the shooting gallery use to be. There was also an arcade where I saw my very first video game (Computer Space). Directly across from Neptune's Kingdom there was an Italian restaurant. Now just parking spaces.
Nice video. Been going to SCBB since the late 1960's. Great seaside amusement park. Fun fact: the Wurlitzer 165 band organ to the very right as you enter the carousel building operated on the 1905 Charles I.D. Looff carousel at Whitney's Playland at the Beach in San Francisco from 1913 to 1972 when the park was demolished for condos out at Ocean Beach. Also Laughing Sal in Neptune's was originally in the window of the Fun House at Playland in San Francisco. Always a fun time for rides and eats at the SCBB!!!! 👍

We wanted to see the night lights, but at about sunset the kids were done. They rode most rides they wanted. I feel like there's just a few rides we wanted to ride we hadn't. At some point kids are just done though, and we met that quota and they loved it all.

Planning to go there next month with friends and family! Can't wait to grab those rings and try to throw them into the large red clown's mouth. The carousel is my favorite ride there because it's fun, tolerable, and safe. I've ridden it many times because it's very addicting. People might hate me for choosing a carousel as my favorite ride but promise me, it's not like a generic carousel ride. At least having a fun game in the carousel is better than doing nothing.
Sweet! We hope you and your family have fun. We really enjoyed the carousel while we were there, and of course, Avi enjoyed snagging his first ring as well.
We love the carousel, too! It's hard to choose our favorite, but it's at the top of our list. We agree, the ring toss game really increases the rides enjoyment. We hope you have a great time visiting next month. 😀
Thanks. I hope that ring dispenser works when my friends, family, and I come to the Boardwalk next month. Tbh, the carousel’s underrated. Not a lot of people know about it and don’t notice that there’s a game hidden at the back of the carousel building. In order for the carousel to be as popular as the Giant Dipper, have some prizes like a stuffed animal, free Ice Cream at the Carousel Cones stand, and a Golden Ring to let the riders remember their visit once their ring goes inside the clown’s mouth. This would increase ridership, popularity, and recognition for the carousel although this will never happen unfortunately.

People couldn t bear to watch it anymore after stuff that was reported about The Exorcist
My nephew couldn t sleep til sunrise the following morning of a night when. him and I saw that scary movie
@@aviandv If you saw The Lost Boys and it scared you as a kid watch Us as a grown ups
It was kind of scary
I just came back from santa cruz beach boardwalk
And I went on giant dipper it runs fully smooth
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed your visit. The Giant Dipper is a lot fun!
And I also went on the blue car giant dipper there were two cars running at 3:00 PM the red car on the front of the car it still has the light paint and the blue car has dark paint
I know
I would get the all day pass wristband so I can get on all my favorite rides for the day and night til they close at 11 on some nights when I go there
I ll even take a time out break and go fetch some beers
Either Bud Light and Budweiser are some of my favorite beers
If they have Bud Light Lime I ll drink that too or I ll go to the nearby store within the laundromat across the street
👋, liked your video.can we buy individual ride tickets?
Thanks so much.😀Yes, you can, it's very easy to do. At the main ticket booth, there is a list of how many tickets each ride costs. Simply tell the attendant how many you you'd like, and they'll load your Boardwalk Card card with that exact amount. And you can always add more if you like.
@@aviandv Its more convenient to get a wristband for the whole day
That s how I do it when I go there
Do they still sell unlimited ride wristbands? I don’t wanna have to worry about how many tickets I have left.
Yes they do. beachboardwalk.com/tickets/
Is the unlimited wristband means you don't need to pay for any games?
No - it's for the rides only. You have to pay for all of the games too.
@@aviandv what is the different in between the rides and the games?
I'm sorry this is my first time
@@abo3mmar292 in general, if you sit in it while it moves, it's a ride. If it's some kind of challenge with the goal of winning a prize, it's a game.
@@aviandv thank you so much
I hear there’s a decent place to go bowling across the street…
We've heard something like that too....😉
There is a pretty awesome bowling place
The Giant Dipper is my number 1 ride. Hands down then Fireball is 2nd
I wish they had EVOLUTION but you folks might not like spinning or upside down suspended rides
That s part of what Evolution ride does
It twirls about sends you upside down and also spins upside down
I don t know for sure if you saw the Evolution ride
I rode Evolution at the Cal State Fair carnival which only operated for a few weeks during the summer
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk looks more beautiful at night
Yeah I saw The Lost Boys
I have the 📀
The giant Dipper is definitely the best ride at the boardwalk. We didn't make it to the fair, this year. Hope you had a great time!
@@aviandv Hello Avi and V
To be honest I didn t get to go to the boardwalk or California State Fair this year
That sucks
To me that kind of feels like a baseball team that can t go to the baseball playoffs in the fall since I also love baseball
My 2 favorite teams are the San Francisco Giants and Oakland A s by the bay
@@jojovaldez2766 go giants!
@@aviandv Yes but the season is just about over
I hope some team Beats L A Dodgers
@@aviandv Next time when I get the chance to go over there I ll make sure I ride the Giant Dipper quite a bit
Multiple Xs
One time when I rode the Giant Dipper after it stopped when the ride ended the ride operator re started it again so me and other passengers that were seated on the G D so I got an instant re ride without having to get off then go back to the end of the line to do it again so they were nice to let me and those other riders go back to back then after the 2nd ride then we have to get off so other passengers could ride it
If u like going to the wharf u musteve see the cookie man I like here ,
Planning to go there next month with friends and family!
I threw a few rings into the hole
@@aviandv The Giant Dipper Fireball Logger s Revenge Carousel Cave Train Adventure Double Shot Undertow are among my favorite rides there
I live in front of the boardwalk
You can t. go to the boardwalk without going on the Giant Dipper
Yes, I CAN!! The very FIRST time I rode a roller-coaster, it was the "Big- Dipper" at Santa Cruz, SC, Ca. I DIDN'T like it at all!! (Keep in mind, I was 7 years of age), so I really was new to the game (so to speak), I CRIED during the whole ride, and COULDN'T wait to get off!! I vowed NEVER to ride on another RC, and I HAVEN'T & WON'T!!
