Exactly! :) I have a chronic disease that puts many people who have it in a wheelchair. So far I'm still relatively healthy and I should use this time to strengthen my body instead of trying to come up with excuses why not to got to the gym. :)

Krissy, I recently became certified as a personal trainer. When I work with female clients, I always emphasize that they can do the same exercises and work the same muscle groups as men. It's interesting how many women assume they can't or shouldn't do this! Your videos are excellent inspiration for me as a trainer, and for women. Thank you!

Hi Matthew, good luck as a trainer! I train with a trainer and this brings so much addend value! And that's correct: my fekalne friends are also afraid of working out upper body or weight lifting generally. And it won't help hen i am explaining that i do boty and am not looking masculine at all :)

Looking back, I can't believe that I used to be stuck in that mindset of only wanting to focus on my lower body. I'm so glad I've grown out of that, and it's all thanks to Krissy! Such a huge inspiration. Looking forward to incorporating those shoulder presses into my workout tomorrow, because I've definitely been neglecting them!!

I think we all did it was part of the fitness community and it was so so so obsessive by ALL of us including me! But I’m happy more people are starting to move their body in a way they look and makes them feel good rather than just how it looks 💙

  • @anilaturina

What you said about it being a privilege to be able to move really hit home for me - two years ago i had a very bad sliped disc, it took me half a year just to be able to walk normally again. I wasn't particularly sporty back then and never did any strength training because i thought 'what's the point, looking muscular as a woman is stupid anyway', but after going through that experience of being completely helpless in my own body my mindset completely changed. Being healthy and especially being able to controll my body and move it in the way i want has become such an important thing in my Life - it truly is a privilege! Thank you

Min 9:40 is sooooo true. That's actually how I became more strict with myself about working out, by thinking that way. And every time I see someone in a wheelchair I think to myself "maybe they wanna be doing leg day, but they can't ☹️" we are blessed to have the capability to exercise

    • @w0033944

Also, it’s less intimidating to begin knowing that there will be exercises you will struggle at even at different levels of expertise. Thank you for being authentic. Completed Day 1, learning from you. ♥️

I hope I will slim down fast so I can start with these workouts. I believe in myself, that's the most important thing IMO.

You've probably heard about the Evolve You app, right? There is a 2 week free trial and you should totally check out Krissy's intro level strong program. I had wet spaghetti noodle arms before starting, you can set it to just a few workouts a week, and take the weight as slow as you want. What I love about the beginner level is you learn how to use things like barbells but you start with no weights on them and it helps you get a feel for form before you add weights. :) I hope it can help you like it did me!

hey, don't turn it into a chore. It's a lifestyle of healthy eating ( not diets) and consistent exercise that's not damaging and suitable. Regular, consistent baby steps and most of all love yourself for showing up each day whether its meal prep or a walk.

Krissy :). Can you please write an e-book, something printable, or pocket like book, with your exact meal plan when you're on a rest day, on a gym day, when you're gaining, & cutting. w/a chart & breakdown of macros/micros. You've taught me so much already, I think nutrition can be the hardest part bc of the misinformation out there, American lifestyle, etc etc. I need a guide on how to come up with my own meals.. I'm getting it slowly, but not quite there. Please, just think about it! (ps, this isn't my account, I am a female). Love ya

    Hey Krissy,
I've only recently stumbled onto your channel, but have to say I find your videos truly inspiring! I used to train at the gym a while ago, then left it for the longest time. Now past the "Big 50", and have gotten back to hitting the gym. In addition I did walk a fair bit as well. But I can say this much, I find it that much harder to shed the weight off, as compared to earlier. I'm also a believer in slow & steady winning the race. Just being consistent/regular & pushing thru each day.
Thanks for all the wonderful tips that you incorporate in your videos. Definitely very helpful!! Keep on inspiring people like us!! ❤

    I. Love. You.
Simply, you're the best, you got me through my first year of weight training, everything I know I've learned from you, you're giving me ideas, motivating me... I can't describe how much I appreciate all the work you're doing

I feel better knowing that someone as fit and strong as you can’t do a pull-up. I’ve been frustrated not being able to do a pull-up and a push-up but will not stop trying!!! Let’s goooo!!

I just stumbled upon you and I am loving your videos (I am restarting my fitness journey so it is very motivational and is helping me overcome apprehension)! Now that I know you love your dog enough to bring her with you; I am sold that you are more than a great workout channel but also a great person and dog mom!!

I appreciate all your videos 😊 I’m trying to get back to working out 2-3 times a week and I’ve started eating healthier- ish 😂 However, I still haven’t quite gotten the hang of eating for nutrition and creating a lifestyle vs a “diet”. I know you’re a super busy woman but if you c an create more eating/cooking videos I would DEEPLY appreciate it cause I feel like that’s where I tend to go downhill 😕 THANK YOU ♥️ 😊

I still can't lift very heavy weights even though I've been trying for 3 years. My shoulder press is very sad. However, I can do 4 and very close to 5 pull ups now. It took 3 months for my pull ups. I bought a pull bar to hang on my door and practiced often. I didn't use bands or assistance machine but a lot of slow negatives until I could do an actual pull up. I also incorporated Australian pullups, lat pull dowsn, rope climbs, heavy deadlifts, bicep curls, and dips into many of my workouts.

Krissy, why don't you do a pull up challenge? I can't do one either but I would absolutely love to do one one day and feel like a badass. It would be really cool if you showed how to train and progress, and it would be such an inspiration to see you do it. Maybe you could bring newbies along with you as well
