That "cooking sound" also plays when Groose leaves without his friends in the same scene. I have it on my Switch, so if I could figure out how to put it online I would to send it to you. I shall update once I do.
How about a secret that you missed? Like the ability to play the Harp during the End Credits to accompany the music and visuals, perhaps? (I actually found this secret by accident after playing through Skyward Sword HD. Still need to verify whether or not this can be done in the original Wii version.)
The BOTW cooking sound effect also makes a second appearance again in SS. During the Levias quest when you go to the Lumpy Pumpkin for the offering, it plays after the owner is finished cooking the pumpkin soup.
Fun Fact: Ghirahim is the most durable enemy in the entire franchise. Nothing else has endured a single Finishing Blow, not even Ganondorf or Demise. Ghirahim survives THREE Finishing Blows during his final battle. This could be down to the fact that he's a literal weapon even more than he is a living being, but the point still stands.
I like that the game developers put a few blocks of wood, carving tools, and a carving of a bird on Link's desk in his room. It's a small detail that shows Link has a hobby and gives him more personality.
To add to that, I just noticed a couple days ago that there are identical loftwing carvings in Zelda's room, and there is nowhere else in the game besides Link's and Zelda's rooms (that I've noticed so far anyway) that these carvings exist. That means Link literally hand-carved loftwing sculptures for Zelda, and if that isn't the fucking cutest Zelink tidbit ever, I don't know what is.
Something interesting I noticed is that in the opening cutscene where Link and Zelda’s loftwings are flying over sky loft, you can actually see Groose, Cawlin, and Stritch chasing after Link’s bird to capture it.
Just to mention something . When you try to enter the bath in the knight academy at night it is locked . If also in the night you go talk to karane she says that she would like to take a bath but a certian person is taking very long. When you obtain the clawshot and go to zeldas room via the chimmey you will firts enter this floor above the bath . If in night you can actually see that it is headmaster gabora . Pretty funny.
My favorite easter egg/lore reference is that, once the Goddess Statue falls to the surface and connects with the Sealed Temple, right before you enter the Sealed Temple where they connect and look up around yourself, you can see the symbols of each sage in a circle. It's so cool and makes me think that the sages must have exist in the Age of Hylia as well.
I don't really know if this is a secret, but there's a girl with a yellow tunic found in the classroom in the knights academy (i'm so sorry but idk her name in english) who asks link about a boy and in her room you can find a drawing of him with little hearts. That's just too cute
Adding on to the last secret, you can find Erla the Kikwi up on the ledge with the bombable-rock cave after you do the tadtones section. If you cut down all the grass that they're hiding in and then talk to them, they give you a treasure (for me it was a goddess plume, but idk if that's what it always is) and say "It's a secret to everybody." I literally *just* did that, like, an hour ago, and since I haven't played any of the old 2D titles, I didn't know it was a reference. But that's yet another character who says that! Maybe there are more too; I'll edit this comment if I find any.
@@HyruleGamer I just listened to it again and the similarity is like after the "introduction" of the theme but like that's all It does give the same vibe tho Kinda-
Something I noticed, and wasn't sure if it's been said before, was that the Lanayru robots' heads have a face similar to Midna wearing her helmet, and a shape similar to the fused shadow. They even have one big eye and one small.
There’s a secret that I just found recently. So there’s the area right outside the goddess statue in Skyloft and there’s a claw shot point. If you claw-shot over the fence there’s two trees with flowers between them and if you walk towards the flowers there is a bunch of the cats that wander around Skyloft. Also if you complete the gratitude crystal quest you are given the best wallet in the game and it looks like Jovani, the golden man you give Poe’s to, in Twilight Princess.
It really would be heartwarming for the headmaster to choose to stay and watch over his daughter and son in law for multiple lives after they are cursed to reincarnate through time.
Another one is with Batreaux! If you look at his back before he's changed, the yellow cape thing looks like a fanged demon (fitting), whereas after you collect crystals and all that, the cape looks like it's smiling. Kind of like those drama mask things.
All I can hear in my head now is the Mogma screaming "YO!". What I get for watching this after finishing a 4.5 hour test and my brain having limited function. I love these little secrets the Zelda team hides all over the place. And as someone who hides little references to other Zelda games within Zelda fanfictions, it's a lot of fun to decide what can go where and how you can subtly implement your favorite little details.
The Ballad of the Goddess being the reverse of Zelda’s Lullaby ! Or well… the contrary, chronologically speaking. The Ballad to awaken the Goddess became the lullaby to get little Zelda to sleep.
Question I have that popped into my head while playing this earlier, if the Evil Crystals are crystallized Malace, would the Gratitude Crystal's be its counterpoint in being the Crystallized Happiness and Joy?
Hey Hyrule Gamer , I have a theory for you- is Skull Lake in BOTW the remains of the Ancient Cistern in Skyward Sword? It's in a large valley, the highest spire in the middle with a shrine (similar to the Buddha face you need to rise to the ceiling of the Cistern), and the lake below is full of water lilies under the surface that appear to have a diseased look to them- similar to the themes of the dungeon (purity/impurity, heaven/hell, the lotus growing and blooming from muck and dirty water, pure clean water/ malice filled water) just a suggestion! *edited bc I can't spell*
One of the gossip stones in Ocarina of Time actually says the following about Kaepora Gaebora: _They say that the owl named Kaepora Gaebora is the reincarnation of an ancient Sage_
In Skyward Sword, if you target one of the small birds on the surface and hit the button for info from Fi, she tells you that the bird is called a "cherri". I'm wondering if this was a name inspiration for "Cherry", Robbie's ancient oven in BotW (assuming the bird names were still the same from the original SS). Cherry even has a center "plume" at the top of the head, sort of like the small birds in SS.
Another little unconfirmed secret: I think the Goddess Cubes from SS and the metal cubes that you can magnesis in BOTW are one and the same. Nobody else has said anything about it and I need reassurance that somebody else has noticed too!! 😭😭 On a side note: favorite side part is the ghost hand in the toliet which is what made the hero succeeding timeline canon 💙💚
Just finished 100%ing the remake (literally like 10 min ago) and I have a serious theory question about the ending: What I don’t understand is does this make another technical time line split? We killed demise in the present with the triforce then killed him again in the past so does that mean he didn’t exist in the present? He was sealed in that stone in the present but in the past we sealed him in the sword. Impa said he was decaying within the sword so it’s more so like we killed him again rather than sealing him. So was he never technically sealed now? Then there’s the mastersword which we left in the pedestal in the sealed ground in the past while in the present we get it up in the clouds. It could have moved but we see it still in the sealed grounds at the end so could that mean there’s two masterswords existing at once? You could also say giraham going to the past could potentially have been existing at the same time as his past self but that’s a stretch assuming as a sword he was manifested as an organic being back then. I want to say this makes a split timeline where we travel to the past to kill him but return to our own where those events never transpired but the fact that impa is wearing the bracelet Zelda gave her, also remembering her promise of seeing her again, disproves this. If this is like in oot where you alter somthing in the past directly effecting the present then we kind of get a song of storms scenario. Making this even more confusing, if altering the past directly rewrites the future, then how is it that impa has the bracelets since the beginning of the game but we don’t see the master sword in the temple once during the play through?
Hey I don't know if you knew this or not but in some points of the ballad of the goddess if you have it in reverse some points will play zeldas lullaby
I noticed something today. It seems like BotW's guardian music was actually taken from SS. When you're fighting the floating mechanical orbs in the desert mines, they'll spit out tinier orbs that you have to slash. When those tiny orbs come out, the music from that segment sounds like the guardian combat music. I never noticed it until playing SSHD.
Just ended my first run ever on this game it was incredible thx god they made it possible to play without motion control. Without this I would have miss out on this amazing game
Late game spoilers: I was hoping to hear this detail in this video. When you finish doing the song for the trial gate in skyloft, if you just wait there before thrusting in the sword, you can hear a little homage to the hyrule field theme from Ocarina of Time. When I first heard it back in 2011, I got chills, because it’s a very iconic theme for the series, and is so heroic. And at that point in the game, link is becoming a true hero, it’s just awesome. Also it’s the song of the hero you play at the trial gate, so it’s just so fitting. I still get chills now, I got them typing this lol
I've got three more details/secrets for you: 1: there's actually a third NPC who says "it's a secret to everybody". once you find all the tadtones in faron woods and unflood the area, one kikwi will still be camouflaging in the high grass near a bombable wall in the north west of the area. cut all the grass around him, then talk to him, and he'll give a goddess plume and say "it's a secret to everybody". 2: the lightning sound effect in breath of the wild was also taken from skyward sword. the sound effect plays all the way at the end of the final boss, after you've done the fatal blow, during the cinematic shot from the side. 3: after you play the song of the hero to go into the final silent realm, if you wait around instead of going into the silent realm, you'll be able to hear the hyrule field theme from ocarina of time.
There were so many cool things in skyward sword but a big one people seem to forget is that Link has the Triforce on his hand without actually having the piece of courage
I don't know if this counts as a secret but I love, how much detail there is to SPOILER ALERT Ghirahim aka Demise's Sword. They are opposites to Fi and the Master Sword in almost every possible attribute you can think of. Fi is robotic and emotionless, Ghirahim is crazy. The master sword is small, smooth and has the Triforce symbol whereas Demise's sword is big, rough and has the inverted Triforce symbol (unclear, whether there is a connection to Lorule). Also, Fi comes out of the Master Sword but Demise's Sword comes out of Ghirahim. I'm sure there are even more details to this duality but these are the most important ones I think.
This is also one of my favorite bits of lore! Ghirahim has so much more independence than Fi, probably because he has been active for so long while Fi has basically been dormant. A sword lives inside of him, whereas Fi lives inside of a sword. Their differences in personality and speech make so much sense when you think about it.
3:40 Another reference to SS in BotW! I never even noticed (then again, that was back in 2011, so I wouldn't have been paying attention to something that small, lol.)
I don't know if anybody else has mentioned this, but I found that the power shrine in BoTW is an exact replica of the forest temple shrine in Skyward Sword. The platforms you jump on to get to the goddess statue in skyward sword are just underneath the water in BoTW. Again, I don't know if anyone else has already metioned this or already found this out.
There’s a crystal switch puzzle in the Lanayru mining facility dungeon which the order to hit them is 2-3-1. I can’t help but think that’s a reference to the ocarina of time deku scrub puzzle in the great deku tree.
That sound for Zelda popping up behind Groose, isn't from Skyward Sword, its from Windwaker. Honestly I don't know how you could not realize it, as its most memorable from battling the baddies in Windwaker
I always wondered what BOTW Link weighed in full gear...you know since he was carrying 20 Lynel Bows, 10 Lynel Crushers, multiple iron sheilds, 900 of every item found in Hyrule, 50 prepped meals etc... I did always think Links greatest superpower was the ability to carry tons of shit.
I saw a video where they figured out how hard link hits a charging lynel to parry it in BotW and it ended up being metric tons of force per square inch with his shield arm so hes definitely one of the strongest characters around
If you look up at night on Skyloft, you will see stars, but not just any stars. You can see Orion and the Big Dipper, two of the most recognizable constellations in the Northern Hemisphere. I never looked in the Wii version, so I'm not sure if its the same
I gave a like. I just got the Master Sword, I can't watch any videos until I beat it. Not 100%, but ending credits. I'm glad I can finally play this game. (Wii sucked). The dungeons are HUGE!! Hyrule under the clouds is a giant ass dungeon!! It's awesome!!! Take care HG!!! I'll binge your videos soon. See ya.
Oh my goodness, I never paid attention to that sound before. Thanks, Nintendo.Momoko. :) I LOVE the theory that Rauru and Gaebora were actually *the same person.* We have no idea how long Rauru has been the Light sage for after all.😇
Another one I just found!!! So if you clawshot into the knight’s academy via the lil chimney thing at NIGHT (very important), you can see the headmaster in the bath through the floor grate. Kinda creepy but like, omg why’d they add this?
There's another secret, but I'm not sure of it because I haven't play skyward sword yet, I saw it on instagram. In Zelda's room there's a mini wood statue of her loftwing and in Link's room there's another statue (a loftwing too) but when you look closely, it looks like Link make the wood loftwing for Zelda. As I said, I haven't play the game so... please tell me if I'm wrong.
I just noticed this yesterday and it's SO CUTE. I mentioned it in a reply to another comment before I saw yours. It's one of my new favorite easter eggs.
in the recycled SS sounds, there's also the moving platforms on the isles of songs that sounds exactly lict the moving platforms in BoTW's shrines. I noticed it right away during my first playthrought of SSHD. I found solething else, but i can't remember what it was.
wouldnt it be odd, if gaepora, being the father of the first incarnation of the goddess hylia, ended up being the ancestor of the sage that not only built the temple of time to house the master sword, and guards the entrance to the sacred realm, but is also meant help another of hylias incarnations to seal demises incarnation in the sacred realm should it come to that?
I think he means that the Gerudo may have descended from Groose, and Gannondorf might be a direct Bloodline Descendant of Groose's - but then how does that explain the 'All-Female' genetic trait of the Gerudo race?
A lot of the sound effects from Skyward Sword is taken from Twilight Princess such as the sword swing, slingshot, spiders falling after shooting them, etc.
yep, i ship Llink & Zelda in Skyward Sword as well, as do many people i imagine. they fit together perfectly, unlike in some other games, and what both feel is mutual.
Obviously, being a Zelda game means BOTW takes inspiration and references a LOT from past Zeldas, but if you look closely, you'd be surprised by how much BOTW takes from Skyward Sword. I dunno, my personal theory is they just recycled SS's story and themes after so many people complained about the game.
BOTW2 is gonna start a time loop. The CT units in Lanayru are Skeika tech mining timeshift stones to stop the war before Skyward Sword. That war is the first Calamity 10,000 years before BOTW. Kiwi's turn to Koroks, The seahorse dudes turn to Zoras. We have to re-establish the Kokiri. Hylians that fled to the forest and had to stay because of the curse of the forest or some shit.

Also, Fi comes out of the Master Sword but Demise's Sword comes out of Ghirahim. I'm sure there are even more details to this duality but these are the most important ones I think.
Yesss
I call it The Disaster Sword. And I want it to make another appearance.
The main theme of sky word sword (title theme) reversed is Zelda's lullaby
Aw yes!!! I was so hyped to see what this one would be about since you posted part of the thumbnail!!!
Ayyy! :)
If you look up at night on Skyloft, you will see stars, but not just any stars. You can see Orion and the Big Dipper, two of the most recognizable constellations in the Northern Hemisphere. I never looked in the Wii version, so I'm not sure if its the same
I just Finished the game today, and I too ship Link and Zelda in this game, they’re so cute
Yes.
The cutest.
I thought I was the only one who noticed the cooking sound effect with Zelda lol
Nice haha
OML same
Shoutout to the Discord Family 💜🌸
Yes
💜
The lightning sound for SS is the same in botw
yeah, a lot of sounds are the same, like the sound for getting a heart.
btw nice pfp i remember it from the ancient times
I gave a like. I just got the Master Sword, I can't watch any videos until I beat it. Not 100%, but ending credits. I'm glad I can finally play this game. (Wii sucked). The dungeons are HUGE!! Hyrule under the clouds is a giant ass dungeon!! It's awesome!!! Take care HG!!! I'll binge your videos soon. See ya.
Oh my goodness, I never paid attention to that sound before. Thanks, Nintendo.Momoko. :)
I LOVE the theory that Rauru and Gaebora were actually *the same person.* We have no idea how long Rauru has been the Light sage for after all.😇
Yesss
There’s an old Halloween unusual effect in Team Fortress 2 called “It’s a secret to everybody”
5:08 friend...Ship get it!!
H a
Another one I just found!!!
Yup!
I just noticed this yesterday and it's SO CUTE. I mentioned it in a reply to another comment before I saw yours. It's one of my new favorite easter eggs.
@@gkeller1031 It's the cutest easter eggs I ever saw in a game :,D
I noticed that cooking sound at first too then I was like there's just no way haha!
Ikr!?
man i love that twilight realm music
in the recycled SS sounds, there's also the moving platforms on the isles of songs that sounds exactly lict the moving platforms in BoTW's shrines.
Another great video as always
Thanks!
If you enter zeldas room, there’s a toy that looks identical to tingle on her desk
Did you know that if you sheath your sword during the fight with Ghirahim, he will just straight up slap you 😂
Beedle is great and everything, but how do you meet him at night? Also I got the trapdoor thing from beedle today
Oh my gosh the cooking!!! There are so many LINKS.
What's your view on the theory of Groose being the first Gerudo or the stranger possibility that he's Ganondorf?
Very possible
How can he be Ganondorf?
I think he means that the Gerudo may have descended from Groose, and Gannondorf might be a direct Bloodline Descendant of Groose's - but then how does that explain the 'All-Female' genetic trait of the Gerudo race?
2:47 The first time I heard that sound I thought it was the opening chest music, looks like I was wrong
😮
A lot of the sound effects from Skyward Sword is taken from Twilight Princess such as the sword swing, slingshot, spiders falling after shooting them, etc.
Oh yeah, SFX is often repeated or reworked
yep, i ship Llink & Zelda in Skyward Sword as well, as do many people i imagine. they fit together perfectly, unlike in some other games, and what both feel is mutual.
Im pretty shure that Groose Theme is based on the Pirate Theme from Wind Waker but maybe im just imagining it.
Is it!?
@@HyruleGamer They sound pretty similar, but I'm not at all an expert on music.
While there is nothing new, I did forget some details. I laughed the first time Beetle dropped me from the trap door.
1:49 I feel the same way
i noticed the meal sound immediately actually
There is a tune when Link achieves to learns how to roll that sounds pretty much like the botw 2 trailer music
Oh cool!
Well the SurpriseZelda-Sound being copied in BotW is rather fitting since Links way of cooking and the outcomes always surprise one.
My brother plays this game twice so i already know this secrets 😂😂
Except for the sound effect this is a really good find 👍
Nice!
Groose theme sounds like goron themes or gerudo from botw
LoL I just got the notification in the middle of watching the video 😂
Nice haha
I actually knew all these ones other than the rauru one
Zelda is a snack confirmed.
Uhh
This is the best comment of the day ahah
Yeah I saw the punching bag when I was FaceTimeing with my friend. I was about to hang up on her and scream.
I feel like Gaepora is a bit on the nose but I don't feel like he talks quite enough to be that horrid owl lmao
Apparently he makes owl nosies when laughing too 😅
@@HyruleGamer lmao ofc he does
beedle is a savage
I knew this was the title!
Haha
In botw the heads of npc's are mii's if you look closely at their hair and faces you will see it
First 👀⭐
Written 15 minutes before the release of the video. What sorcery is this?
@@juanjawnjohn he lets her be first lol
Howd you get here that many minutes early? are you a member or sumthing

i learned remlits love music
I too ship Link x Zelda in SS but only in the beginning, around the end i feel those feelings btwn the 2 change.
They are on cloud 9 ;-)
BOTW2 is gonna start a time loop. The CT units in Lanayru are Skeika tech mining timeshift stones to stop the war before Skyward Sword. That war is the first Calamity 10,000 years before BOTW. Kiwi's turn to Koroks, The seahorse dudes turn to Zoras. We have to re-establish the Kokiri. Hylians that fled to the forest and had to stay because of the curse of the forest or some shit.
The letter H is pronounced "Aitch", by the way...
Not where I am from, by the way lol
(This is a joke)
Listen to the tune that plays while using the Beetle…sound familiar? #botw2
👀
I don’t know much of the creation of the Beetle but Im really hoping there’s something there cause that would be interesting AF
