i really like the idea of the rito making paragliders for the other races, to sell in general, or even just for the royal family perhaps ??? it just ties hyrule together very nicely :D
I like the idea that the paraglider was originally designed by the rito for injured/disabled ritos who couldnt fly on their own. Not being able to fly would be pretty debilitating for them, but the paraglider would give them the ability to travel more easily with their people. Maybe later other races would catch on and start using them
The paraglider could’ve been a gift to the King of Hyrule as a symbol of good will between the Rito and Hylians, as that would explain why King Rhoam has it. Also, if you have no other metal equipment in a storm, and throw a metal boomerang at just the right time, lightning will strike it! It’s very difficult to pull off, put so worth it when you do.

Rito children probably need the glider. In Wind Waker, it is well established, a major story point in fact, the Rito children CAN NOT FLY until they recieve a dragon scale from Valoo the dragon. Of course Valoo isn't present in BOTW, but Dinral flies with in a reasonable distance from Rito Village. Shoot him with an arrow and claim a dragon scale (interesting that the Rito specialize in archery, isn't it). What I think the glider is for is this: Young Rito children do not have their wings yet. They learn and practice mid air archery with the glider. When they are proficient, they travel to Tangar Canyon, shoot Dinral, claim the scale, and fly home. If they fail, it's an awful long walk, so they better be ready. Hmm, I wonder if Revali failed his first attempt to get a scale from Dinral. It might shed some light on that overcompensating attitudude of his.
Hey Adam, The one that he stubs his toe, there is something similar that if you crouch and open a chest frim behind or the side, link will punch it and shake his and in pain.. XD I knew every one except the last one... i can see the resemblance, but i honestly think that it's just leaves and their stems. TBH
Even some of these secrets are a little "known" but there are always new fans, and they're subtle known ones! I love the Navi shout out. I wonder if the paraglider is because Windwaker Link stayed with the Rito and passed the tradition of the Paraglider on, since the Rito used to have to earn their wings before they evolved to have them their selves instead of the Dragon giving them.
@@HyruleGamer The navi thing made me wonder.... in one of the other games(which had multiple fairy companions) It retconned Navi's appearance as being a magical aura obscuring a winged humanoid. does BotW ever reference that?
Another cool chest opening animation is one where Link hits the top of the chest, then shakes his hand cuz it hurt. Idk the requirements to get that one though, if there is any.
@@HyruleGamer honestly I have the feeling that botw 2 will add something/somethings from the older games and make it something big in botw 2 like maybe the twilight realm or Navi guiding you through your journey, it would make sense because you know botw 2 you can basically fly and Navi is a flying fairy, but that’s just me getting my hopes up
Similar to stubbing his toe, if he punches open a chest (while crouched down) he also hurts his hand. I learned both during the master trials since he didn't have clothes for most of it
Fun thing about the stubbing your toes secret is that if you crouch next to a chest and try to open it, Link will instead attempt to punch it open to similar results.
I think the Rito Logo is on the Glider, because the rito made it. The Royal Familie probably wanted something to fly, and asked the Ritos if they can make something like that. And the glider was the result

Not necessarily trading combat secrets but technology instead to fight a common enemy just as the Sheikah have is quite noble thing to do give and take
I never realized the Navi reference in the diamond circlet. I always liked that accessory because along with the Champion's Tunic makes Link look like a prince.
The Rito of Wind Waker had to collect a dragon scale to grow wings and used the grappling hook to get around before that. Maybe the Rito of Breath of the Wild had something similar going on and needed the glider.
Not sure if you have covered this, but even before age of calamity came out, you can see the emblems of the Golden Goddesses on the floor of each of the buildings leading up to the temple of time. I noticed it in my second playthrough in 2018 and thought it was so neat, the age of calamity confirmed it. So cool!
The glider being made by Rito could have either been something they used when they were evolving *into* Rito, if they still evolved from a land born race. And could have later become an adaptive device for Rito who- for some reason or another- couldn't fly under their own power. From there, it probably caught on with Hylians- and potentially Zora- for a time, before falling out of fashion due to accidents.
The Rito symbol on the paraglider - once I got to Rito Village and the cutscene before the Revali memory started playing, I thought it was going to be some kind of memory about the paraglider. Still wondering why the paraglider has even been made. A request from the king perhaps?
The Rito designed and built the Paraglider for sure! Who better to consult for an apparatus that soars in the sky then a race of ALLIES who can fly themselves! I couldn’t think of a more qualified group to work with in Hyrule then the Ritos. Their flying abilities would make them natural paraglider smiths.
I think the Rito made the paraglider because they would have a far better understanding of the mechanics of lift an aerodynamics, being the only race to actually experience flight regularly, meaning that a Rito craftsman would have a far easier time making a glider than anyone else.
I don't know how unknown this is, but at the end of the trial of the sword the master sword does the same sound it does when Fi comes out in Skyward Sword.
In my opinion, the para-glider is an offering by the rito left on the tomb of the king, see where he came from when arriving with it the first time; the mountain. Or it might be an item crafted (by the Rito) and left precisely so Link can leave the plateau when he woke up.

4:44 talking about link hurting his foot when kicking the chest... try opening the chest w/ Link crouched. He hits it with his fist to the same effect... lol
@@HyruleGamer It's too bad though. I think maybe they could in a way make the game a bit different. Like link could go into places that he couldn't before maybe the developers could create new tools and new abilities for Link. I'd also die to know more about Midna and the entire backstory. Ooh! And maybe seeing a bit of how the kids react when going back to their parents. I know we saw some of that already but it would be cool to see more of it. Or they could make a second Twilight Princess game....? Who knows.
My theory on the paraglider: it was created by the Rito as a gift to the Hylian royal family. That's why it has the Rito crest (because they made it), why the King has it (because it was given to him or one of his ancestors) and why nobody else seems to have one (it was specially made for the Royals only).
I personally think that it used to be sold in Rito Village for other races however they removed it due to the Guardians cutting off the supply routes for making more. It could also have been used as training gliders for toddlers or for disabled Rito.
Im going to guess that there are many secret references foreshadowing the events of BOTW 2 through out the game that we'll find in hindsight. If my memory serves me correct, BOTW 2 was originally planned DLC and cut content that grew so much it became a separate entry in the franchise.
Go into a test of strength shrine with the water in it. (Like the one on Hebra Peak) Use cryonis under Link. Don't move of brake the cryonis or anything. Just wait. Story for the legend of Zelda: Timelines in chaos It all started with link waking up in his bed. He went outside and saw a strange blue portal. He saw knights with dark armor and blue energy powering their weapons: swords with a blue dot at the handle. They used it to obliterate a person he knew, it was Impa! Link fell into the portal and endet up in a strange fortress. It Was called the fortress of time. There were more knights: the knights of time. They said to link:" You are not allowed to see behind the cutain, Link! They wouldn't allow it." Link was shocked what he got in. And then he saw Impa?! She was alive! But it was not her it was another Impa. An Impa from another timeline. He was sad that his impa was dead, but he didn't gave up. He walked up to a knights. They said that he could come with them. He came with them. Link found him in an strange place, a great sea and an island. Outset island. They search for a so called anti-timeliners. They found it and obliterated it. It was a Link! But how? Link thought. They went back to the fortress of time and found a person with an armor but with orange energy. He said:" I am Hora. The conqueror of time, of All time!" He killed another time knight. "See you soon." He whispered and jumped into an orange portal. A small egg like robot stepped to Link. It made funny noises. It Was terrako but it wasn't made at this point, so it came from the future. The knights opened a big portal. The gate of timelines. They travelled to the child-timeline and found Hora Link grabed his sword and fought against Hora. Link won but another Hora came and killed his second self and teleported away. They get back to the gate and Hora waited and said:" I am not Hora but I am him also. My name is Tempus, protector of the three timelines. Come with me." All of them went to the downfall timeline, the home of Hora. They paniced as they heared the noise of a guardian laser. There were thousends of guardians comming towards them. Hora laught:" You are not the only one that can control the time!" And Tempus destoyed all of them in one second. Link, the hero of timelines was shocked when Hora showed him the corpse of Link from his timeline. The hero of timelines got angry and killed Hora. They traveled to the end of time. There was only a castle floating on a rock. It was Tempus home called the castle of protection. They went inside and Tempus said:" You saved the timelines. What is your wish?" Link wanted al three timelines to be one again. So Tempus used all of his energy to form the three timelines into being one again. So the new united timeline was made.

Mans got 113k Subscribers, and still finds time to reply to ALL the comments that arent spam or what not
He's always uploading!
Just the quality of his Videos is enough to admire ALONE!
And he's so freaking caring!
Shout out to you man! Keep it up! *PLEASE*
Link will punch chests with his hands if you crouch.
Yup!
@@HyruleGamer than he regrets it. Lol
4:44 talking about link hurting his foot when kicking the chest... try opening the chest w/ Link crouched. He hits it with his fist to the same effect... lol
Ya
I love how Fado's house in Twilight Princess is always locked. The developers didn't have time to create the interior of his house. 🤣
Yup! Covered this in my TP episode!
Interesting take
I personally think that it used to be sold in Rito Village for other races however they removed it due to the Guardians cutting off the supply routes for making more. It could also have been used as training gliders for toddlers or for disabled Rito.
Cool idea
Im going to guess that there are many secret references foreshadowing the events of BOTW 2 through out the game that we'll find in hindsight. If my memory serves me correct, BOTW 2 was originally planned DLC and cut content that grew so much it became a separate entry in the franchise.
I have the diamond circlet but I never noticed that. It's really cool!
Another fun chest fact, if you crouch and open the chest (on the side like you did) link will punch the chest and then shake his hand out after 😄
Go into a test of strength shrine with the water in it. (Like the one on Hebra Peak) Use cryonis under Link. Don't move of brake the cryonis or anything. Just wait. It might take a few tries but eventually you'll get something interesting. This happened to me on my very first playthrough and I've never seen anyone talk about it.
these were all secrets I didn't know before!
Awesome!
If you crouch behind a chest before opening it, Link will punch it and hurt his hand
wow, so many comments pointing out this detail that i didn't know about....
Oh awesome!
Another Zelda TH-camr explained the glider secret it was probably old and used when the Tito didn’t have wings yet like the grapple in wind waker but this was the replacement for it
Oh really? Could you link me to their video!
@@HyruleGamer you literally commented on this video 🤦♂️ the theory starts at 4:37

@@The_New_Mexican_Dog Oh true! Haha nice!
I mean I had this script wrote out for months, recorded in advance etc. Crossovers can happen when we're all talking about the same game for 4 years on now lol
to go with the stubbed toe, if you crouch and try and open the chest from the back, Link will punch it open, and shake his hand out in pain.
I wear the diamond circlet all the time and never noticed that design.
What’s the background music starting from 5:40
"Good kids and see it" like only people pure of heart can see the Koroks? Is it a floating Korok land?
i dont know if the kicking the chest thing is too hidden as it occurs on the very first chest you open in the shrine of resurrection...or am i remembering that wrong...
lol you are right
Yeah!
A reason why the paraglider could have the rito logo on it is because it could have been a gift to the Royal Family
Yup, maybe!
Story for the legend of Zelda: Timelines in chaos
It all started with link waking up in his bed.
I cracked my fingers way to many times when i wrote it
i'm just confused as to why you posted this random bit of fan fiction in youtube comments
its not a bad thing, but i'm just curious as to why it was done
@@megamegatron99 I just wanted to share it to you but nothing special
@@megamegatron99 also i did it before
Definitely didn't know about these! thanks!
Awesome!
The sailcloth could have been built by the Hylians, but with a cloth that the Rito built, as they have materials and/or weaving techniques more fit for the strain of the winds.
Maybe yeah
The VERY first chest you opoen in the game link stubs his toes an I went "outch I am so sorry link"
There is another secret chest opening reaction can happen if you crouch and open a chest from behind. Link will punch it and shake his hand in pain.
huh, i never tried crouching while opening a chest before
thanks for sharing that bit of information :)
Thanks for letting me know :)
@@HyruleGamer do i have a spot reserved in the next secrets of botw video? Seems like there are secrets popping up every week 4 years later.
That new intro is actually pretty snazzy
Maybe the glider was made for injured or crippled Rito. Sorta the flight equivalent of a wheel chair.
Maybe
Maybe the paraglider was a gift to Link and the king held it for him.
Maybe
If you crouch when opening a chest Link will punch open the chest instead of kicking it. If you aren't wearing a shirt he'll do a unique animation for that too
This game is such a gem.
Yes!
My personal headcanon is that the paraglider was made by Revali out of spite when challenged about shooting while flying being difficult by link 😁
Cool!
I always thought the middle of the symbol on the paraglider looked like The Rebel Alliance symbol from Star Wars.
That man likes his eggs done rather different than myself. Different strokes, I guess.
What
@@HyruleGamer The eggs at the beginning, they were just very different from how I like my eggs. I find it interesting. How do you take your eggs?
Love the vids by the way, you da man.
The diamond circlet is an item I wear all the time and I never noticed that-
are you sure that shamae didn't see the kingdom of the ooccoo the city in the sky? it could make sense since skyloft is likely on the ground as "the forgotten temple".
