Hi Shervin! Great videos. I came across your channel a few weeks ago and have watched every single one now:)
I had the same issue with my AWU (the action button not working). Took it to the apple store, and they basically told me to suck it and to wait for a software update. Another issue I had was my watch randomly "tapping my wrist" when I used the 'walk' activity. Took it to the apple store and got the same feedback. Decided to sell it at a loss, and got myself a Garmin Fenix 7. Never looked back!
arghhh every other software update the action button works, then doesn't work. Sadly the software is simpler & works more often on the Garmin. I've only had a reset issues on the Garmin once. I should make a exclusive video about this

I’ve spent more than 7 months, over the years in Prague, so it’s also one of my favorites cities in Europe!

I just purchased an Ultra a couple of weeks ago and love it!!! I have stopped taking my iphone with me now. All my cards are on my watch, podcasts, music and emails. I activated the cellular portion of it and its brilliant. I just so fresh to not have to always have a phone with me. I do carry my drivers ID with me which I had stopped as it was on my iphone. Aside from that, the watch serves its purpose and is super convenient. The speakers are plenty loud and the display big enough to not be fiddly. All in all, very happy with the watch and the freedom it gives now. Yeah its pricey, but you are paying for the build, design and performance.

What did you do about the cellular network for you phone and watch?
Just kept my phone with me so it used my international Google do from my phone. Have yet to test the international roaming feature on the watch though

I find interesting to see the stores showing that they accept apple pay. The apple pay needs to work with your credit card, it is not up to the store to accept or not. If they have a working machine that accept NFC (proximity payment) the store will always "accept" apple pay, google pay or whatever. It is not up to the store, it up to your credit card.
yes AND a lot of places don't accept apple pay in the US. you have to use a regular Credit Card sadly
I was thinking about it, I’ve been using Apple Pay here in Brazil for over a year now and I’ve never saw a place that didn’t accept it, even when I traveled to small cities, it just works, so, I kind of imagined the same: it’s up to the issuer, at the same time I’m wondering if that’s only here in Brazil and if other places it’s also up to the store so they can choose to not accept it? I don’t know.
@@GabrielFranciscoss sometimes they don't have the hardware. in the US not all credit card terminals have the NFC wireless chip reader
@@GabrielFranciscoss esse é meu ponto, eu tbm sou do brasil e o que tem que aceitar apple pay é o seu cartao. desde que o dono da loja tenha uma maquina que pague por aproximação, essa é sua única preocupação. Não é a loja que tem que aceitar "apple pay", é seu cartao de credito que tem que ser aceito pelo apple pay, de resto, apenas funciona, encosta na maquinha e já era.

I love the ultra. But I'm selling it this week to buy a pixel watch and a series 7. I go between iOS and Android so much. Plus, I can get the ultra look with that new case that can convert the look of your Series X to an ultra. Love your videos man. Keep em coming!

@@ShervinShares Great question. I don't lol. I setup an iMessage server on my MacBook in my office called AirMessage. It's super easy to use and as long as my computer is connected to the internet, I get iMessage on my Pixel. I'm a mobile app developer and I have a massive love for both iOS and Android. So I'm constantly going between the two.
Maybe your Ultra is starting to show signs of wear & tear from all the things you do with (e.g. going to Icelandic baths) and the weather seal is starting to deteriorate?

Prague looks amazing. I would love to do a cycling/running tour of Europe one day. But gotta admit the obsession with Apple Pay on this channel is a little weird. Don't get me wrong... the videos are highly entertaining and funny, but the focus on contactless payments in 2023 is strange. Europe introduced Chip-&-PIN payments over 20yrs ago w/ contactless payments following just a few yrs later. And yes, the U.S. was still making physical imprints of CC's on carbon paper in some service industries a decade later. But pretty much since 2016 even us backwards hicks in America have fully moved to Chip-&-Signature and are probably 90-93% there on Contactless NFC/Mobile payments.
We say, contect less pay :)

Apple Pay literally works in almost every country including most African countries like South Africa. I find it so strange that Americans can’t use their own feature in their own country and are surprised when it works somewhere. The lack of tap to pay in America is so odd in South Africa it’s been a thing for almost 15 years even before Apple Pay existed 😂
