Thats what i talk about every video. You dont need to ask for apple pay. It needs to accept TAP TO PAY. What needs to accept apple pay is your credit card. If your credit card can be added to your wallet. Everywhere that accepts tap to pay will always work with apple pay.
True, asking for Apple Pay will confuse a lot of merchants when they do take tap to pay but they will say no Apple Pay

There’s a difference. Tap to pay is NFC which cards and smartphones can do but it’s only to a certain point. For example, UK I believe is £50. Apple Pay allows a larger amount. For example you can buy a £1000 MacBook with Apple Pay, but not tap to pay
As a Canadian living in the USA I have to let you know that out of the three north american countries the USA is the only one were people explicitly ask if they take Apple pay or android pay. Most of us in the other two north american countries and the "western" world just think of it as contactless payment.
I'm pretty sure at least in Canada it is less about APPLE PAY and more about tap and everywhere takes tap.

As a citizen of Canada, this experiment is very confusing lol. I've never heard of place not taking apple pay. As long as you can tap (Which is everywhere), you can use apply pay. Now maybe if you tried somewhere very rural, you would struggle.

You should rediscover swimming. Would love to see you do swimming tests with your devices. I learned how to swim last year to try my hand at triathlons, ended up falling in love with swimming and fell behind on triathlon training lol😊
Did you do this before or after the watch Os 10 update? My ultra tanked after the update! Used to be able to get three days easily only get 2 max now. However, I’ve updated it to 10.0.1 this morning and it seems better. Fingers crossed.
Since I got series 6 in dec 2021, I'm always using apple pay. In Brazil is call something like "pay by contact/proximity"

Amex is not accepted in many countries as their cut is too high for many merchants. Visa and Mastercard on the other hand are universal worldwide.....

I liked these videos in the beginning but all it comes down to now is asking "Do you take Apple Pay?" a million times. There is also the fact that Apple pay will work anywhere, where NFC payments are supported, Apple/Google/Whatever pay is a thing your bank/card has to support, not the merchant.

Appreciate the answer. Maybe I don’t watch regular enough or it’s not my type of humor then. I am fine with these being travel vlogs but the title suggests there is something interesting for watch owners in it which is unfortunately not the case, but you have other good videos for that purpose. I just feel getting baited into these and not finding them particularly interesting in the end.

You'll not have any issues with Apple pay in Canada or most European countries. The only issue really is the USA with outdated terminals. In Canada all you ask is do you have tap?

Yes, it’s a private business that can make decisions about what type of payment they accept.
Big fan of this channel, however over indexing on Apple Pay is becoming long in the tooth. Running around most major cities these days is pretty friendly when it comes to anything Apple, or the Android ecosystem for that matter.
