      It should be the flywheel, rough idle is a definite symptom along with clutch pressed and depressed variations.

    Very good, you can also feel DMF failure on your clutch pedal in neutral. Press halfway down, and if you feel subtle (or less subtle) juddering (or 'jumping' ) of the pedal, it is clear sign that the flywheel is by-by. Change it, as it can cause cranck to brake.

    Hey, I have a noise on cold starts. When it sounds like the flywheel, but when you press the clutch pedal, the clutch release bearing sounds, but it only happens on cold. when the car get heat. it just doesn't sound anymore. What could be the problem? It's a 2.0 TFSI audi 8p 6 speed manual

    • @Autokraze
      @Autokraze  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it's the flywheel then after pressing the clutch, the sound should go away. Also, the sound of the flywheel is much more than that of the release bearing. Also, on cold start an engine generally sounds more than usual and if it goes away after the car gets heated then there is nothing to worry about. First, i suggest you check whether its the flywheel or not by depressing the clutch

    Hey, I drive a Jeep Compass 2.0 Multijet manual so I have this aggressive sound on starting the car and vibration whenever the engine is running / revving. Additionally on going in the reverse gear, it struggles to move from idle. Could the problem be the flywheel?

    • @Autokraze

    • @Autokraze
      @Autokraze  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think that the noise will be of the flywheel. The ford 1.5 TDCI has a single mass flywheel not a dual mass unit. Try pressing the clutch and observing differences in the sound and let me know if there is any.

    I have a 2.0 TDI A5 2015, this only does this occasionally after driving in slow traffic. Rattle sound when in neutral and when I depress the clutch it rattles. Is this just the fly wheel? It goes after I leave off in first and only does this occasionally not all the time. Any help appreciated

    • @Autokraze
      @Autokraze  ปีที่แล้ว

      Does the car vibrate a little in crawling speeds? If it does and there is a shake/jerk on acceleration from stand stop then it should be the flywheel. When in neutral you can open up the bonnet and observe exactly from where the sound originates. But without properly looking at it it's pretty hard to tell. I hope it helps

    My 2008 Lancia Musa 1.3 multijet 90 hp diesel engine has the same issue .. but the car dealer who sold me the car claims that he has documents / paperwork showing that the DM flywheel and clutch are new . I have inspected the gearbox mounting bolts and they look unmoved . how can I get my money back ?

    • @Autokraze
      @Autokraze  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      First off you can check the mounting bolts, a fresh bolt will look new and there won't be any markings on them alas they changed the bolts with new ones. It's very hard to reclaim from a dealer coz he will know how to deal with these kind of problems but you can claim through the paper work that if the parts are new then why the fault? The only way out is through the paperwork that he has😊

    • @Autokraze

      If it is the flywheel then the sound should go away as soon as you press the clutch. If the sound is way too loud and is audible even after you roll up the windows then it might be the flywheel. Else, it just might be the release bearing/cylinder.
