I just hope sony makes a ps5 controller with no built in mic, I have some razor headsets that are like new and they were working perfectly fine on ps4, but the ps5, it's just something about that built in mic.
The reason the symbols are “swapped” is because the slider represents like a percentage. Further to the right means 70% party volume 30% game. Once the bar is filled with party audio it means 100% party 0% game

Damn. My friend always has echo and never can fix it. Hope this helps him. Last time he even had helicopters in his background too along with echoing. I had to call it a night.
It was a nice attempt but this did not help in the least. Lowering my mic sensitivity only removed the echo when i lower it so much i can barely be heard. Lowering headset volume helps but only when ive lowered the volume so much i can't hear as well as i'd like to. Changing game/party balance does nothing. If you've figured something out that works please update.
This may sound silly but it’s literally what fixed my echo issue. Make sure on your base station you have it set to PS and not PC. Just double check. Somehow mine got switched to PC at some point and I didn’t know it and it was causing issues with the microphone. As soon as I switched it to PS and came back, echo was gone. Hope this saves someone.
I pulled the cable slightly out of the controller and it’s worked. I think if you plug your mic/headset into the controller and push it all the way it gives an echo for some reason. With pulling it out slightly 1 notch the headset and mic works with no Echo
There needs to be a way to mute the controller mic and just adjust that on you’re headphones the mic on the remote stays open thats why it’s echoing its been to long for them not to update that wich is annoying i have a hyper x plug in headset made for PlayStation it looks cool buts its annoying switching from ps4 to ps5 and now i am forced to buy a new headset

Yeap. Just received my black Steelseries 7P+ headset. My friends said they can hear the echoing, and when I turned it down to 0, it almost went away and they said it gotten much better. Still a little tad of echo, but not as bad as before. So weird.

I bought the new pulse headphones for PS5 and it's echoing too bad. I can literally play the game without having it on and still hear everything perfectly. Sony just made a trash headphone. (The wireless is garbage as well) I'm just going to do what you showed here

I have issues with buzzing when using remote play and streaming. It just happens on ps5 fps games. Ps4 games just work fine. While streaming direct via ps5 to youtube or twitch there is no buzzing. Do you have a fix for it? Thank you
@@dap9723 On the side of your headset you have 2 switches one to turn of the headset and one to monitor your sound. You’ve probably just accidentally switched the wrong one.
On my saved clips Videos on PS5 I can hear a very loud Buzzzzzzzz sound! And it only appears with my PS5 remote which sucks when I play PS5 games! And I can’t find anyone that has this problem.

having it set to 100% party, you still hear game sounds.
It prioritizes party more than game and vice versa
The symbols in the left and right represents game and mike so you will hear more of what symbol is above it.

The arctis 7p+ needs the mic level to be 0… so weird otherwise it echo’s. all the way down so 0 or maybe 1 makes it sound perfect somehow

Little late but the echo happens because your microphone is picking up the audio from your headset which causes a loop making the echo
