If anyone still has this issue hold the playstation button, go to sound and devices, and make sure “disable game chat audio” is OFF. I accidently enabled it a week ago and just now realized, it basically makes it so you cant hear anyone in game and they cant hear you.

Somebody make a video on how you get the audio from the TV through your earphones or ear buds only just that so many people just want a video showing you how to do that. I couldn't find any video from the US at least that showed me how to do this.
Lol just plugging in the cable the other way around (the cable side that was plugged into controller and the one into the headphones) seemed to work for me

So if your still looking for a way like I did for 2 hours how about this restore all settings to default then restart this will take you though the process of signing up a new ps to check if it's worked once you get in go back to adjust microphone level and it should come up with your voice I have the gm-14s it worked for me if it works for you your welcome if not sorry I couldn't be more help try every option.
chase 5900 yeah, turn off headset. Use pin to reset dongle on side, when dongle light flashes hold mute and vss buttons while turning headset to 1. This sorted my out. No issues now
If you did everything and it still doesn’t work on fortnite check if your game chat is on and if it’s on and didn’t work than check if it’s push to talk or open mic. Change it to open mic and it should be good unless you’re mic actually broke.
I was here because I can hear my own audio when adjusting the microphone and I can hear it when using my headset Hyper X Cloud headset but I know what my problem is because I kept receiving the CE- 37804 Error or whatever because of Madden 22 I had to factory reset my PS4 and I just thought wait a minute it works when adjusting my microphone audio but there was just no Audio when recording so I went to sounds and broadcast all audio was disabled freaking B's I could understand if one of them was disabled like for people who don't want their audio to be heard for broadcasting or playing video games but not all of them! You should probably pin this comment or let this be known because people might have just bought a new or used PS4 and that might be the problem they're having or they did a factory reset of their PS4 and the default options for audio during recordings or broadcasts or whatever are disable they're all unticked! 😔

Try turning on the headset volume from the headset itself from the mic on and off thing I was about to get a refund until I tried that and it worked just fine
Literally just bought a new headset and was talking to some mates when all of a sudden my mic stops working. I didn't change any settings or press any of the buttons on the headset, the headset doesn't have a mute function. It just stopped working...
Fixes for the A10 brand new out of the box (troubleshooting) 1) Make sure it's not muted this particular mic you must flip the mic downward, since upwards means it's muted. (Also make sure your headset settings are set too all audio and not chat audio in the ps4 settings) 2) restart the ps4 with the mic plugged in, as well as check for any updates that your ps4 may have. (If this dosent fix follow the next steps) 3)make sure the ps4 is recognizing the mic input through the settings if it's not, simply unplug it from the controller. Then plug it in a little more than halfway, not fully then once it's recognized slowly push it in fully. (If it recognizes but won't pick up the input follow the next step) 4)Once the mic is recognized allowing you to hear sound as well as see your mic active but dosent pick up you talking. Simply push hard af (atleast five pounds of pressure on the 3.5mm side that connects directly into the headphone itself) make sure you are in a party and if you think you are pressing hard enough hold rhe pressure and start talking in a party chat to see if it starts lighting up. If it isn't you arnt pushing it hard enough, so try a little harder (I was scared it was going to break the cable with the amount of force I had to put but it ended up working) once you've seen it starting to light up you can let go of the 3.5mm jack and finally enjoy your brand new mic that you just bought. (Step four worked for me after I had to troubleshoot all the other options and decided to share this fix due to being pissed that I had bought a brand new microphone thinking It was broken) If step four dosent fix the issue I'd recommend using a q tip with 90% rubbing alcohol (if you have 70% make sure to clean it twice with a dry q tip that way you dont damage the jax inside of the controller and get rid of any excess alcohol) Hopefully this helps I was in the same boat buying a brand new pair of a10 ps4 headphones only to think they were broken from the start, eventually got pissed and pushed super hard on the 3.5 cable connected to the mic itself held it there and talked into a party to my suprise it actually picked up my input, I was scared if i Le go that it wouldnt work due to how hard I was pressing I in and it wouldn't budge any further but to my suprise it worked) Ps never buy these headphones they are an absolute shit product considering i had to troubleshoot them straight out of a brand new box, took me thirty minutes of tutorial fixed only to find out none of them actually solved the problem other than step 4. For a sixty dollar mic you're better off getting skullcandy for 10$ atleast they'll work out of the box and you don't have to troubleshoot a brand new product.
Hey guys, if you're still struggling on this problem and some of his tips don't work but you think it's a controller problem, go to your settings and turn off your PS4 controller then turn it back on. Hope that helps

Fixes for the A10 brand new out of the box (troubleshooting)

I can't talk or they cant hear me but only hear my mic when i mute and unmute my mic and i have a mic where you pull the mic back up to mute it. I can hear everything fine and also tried another headset they could hear me fine in that one but i really really want these ones to work. SOMEONE HELP ASAP!!

Every time with plug my headset in, it says “microphone muted so players in the party cannot hear you” it was never like this before. I’ve gone threw everything in settings, the controller, and the headset, and everything is right. Please Help!
