A big part of what I love about the FGC is the energy that IFC Yipes brings, is pure joy to me.
I’m glad I saw this video. For years, I’ve seen him in the fgc and never knew anything about him aside from the fact he gave commentary. He came a long way and I’m sure all his friends and family are proud of him.
I remember watching that summer jam and being so hype to watch Yipes beat chris. I’ve probably rewatched it 15x since then. I love umvc3 and Yipes was a hype factor in almost all the biggest moments. Keep doin your thing man :)
Seasons Beatings tourney was godlike. I go back at least once a year to watch the IFC Yipes vs Chris S. matchups. Team Speed and Violence matches too hype.

Yipes and TKBreezy got me into watching FGC events with their commentary. They were was the first legit hype and funny people I had watched and it made the events 100x better to watch for me.

I think those regional and personal rivalries fueling the fires of the FGC is what's missing from the E-Sports era. Yeah, we have million dollar pots now, but back then guys would play a MM for a Franklin (or less) and put their heart and soul into the game.

I don't consider myself apart of the FGC yet but I have always watched fighting tournaments and loved when Yipes would commentate. I could tell he was an awesome guy and what makes it even better is that he's Dominican! De Lo Mio for sure!
