Shouts outs to Yipes for being my first guest!! Check out his clothing merch www.etsy.com/shop/remixdprintsnyc/?etsrc=sdt&fbclid=PAAaY7I24_lLJxDEhEa6Zi7covaEq2v_1ZXnXQ5j0SjZtUsl2Fqw5Sn4HHwDw_aem_ATO0XlSpDhkdhSIju09wVlwsF1tyIWS9DoMngfwWxZqjMvMobVt_AI-QnottMkUm-f8&load_webview=1&bid=39AxqmSGzs4YtyLyMir4Ao4HRh3l Who would be the second guest though?
IDK, But I need to see a Yipes Unreal Tournament stream asap. I still come back to the game every so often. Would be tight to see some other FGC heads try it out. Game is fun af
I like the old school players vibe, because there's a lot of untapped knowledge within and beyond the games. That being said, see if you can get VDO. And if you do, let him know that it was a recommendation from his brother, Judgment Day.
You HAVE to keep doing these, especially with the veterans of the community. It's important to preserve the history, and for younger players to get ideas about where they can take their lives. It's also great to see other sides of the players. Justin is a surprisingly good interviewer: warm, relaxed, asks good questions, likable. Absolutely continue these!
It's funny, the story Yipes told about him honoring the promise he made to his grandma about not getting tattoos and stuff is pretty much the same reason why I don't and could never smoke. I made a promise to my grandma before she passed that I would never smoke because she was super against it after she quit and I intend to honor that until the day I die. Grandma promises can't be broken man.
Yipes is such a great and cool guy. Really love the vibes with this interview. It really just felt like two longtime pals reminiscing on the good times while still looking forward to the future. Good shit, Justin! Can't wait to see more from this series.
The stories were fun. Alex Valle and I used to mob Golf Land in Stanton. He and the other hard core guys tried getting me to join tourneys, but I wasn't interested in going pro. The teenage mindset.
Keep these up Justin! We need more of these interviews with other FGC faces. Also every time Yipes does the FChamp impressions that shit has me dead 🤣🤣🤣
You two are legit the reason I found the FGC scene. Yipes with the Curleh Mustache vid and Justin with Evo 37. These were the things that made me find that there was a competitive scene and community for fighting games which was super cool!
This is a great series. Would love to see more interviews with players from you and Yipes generation. I don't keep up with the FGC so much these days but I used to love watching you guys in the SFIV/MVC3 era.
I loved this. My two favourite people from the FGC and the first people that come to mind when I think about the culture. This was a great concept and I don't think you could have started with a better guest for EP. 1. Looking forward to more episodes Justin. Would love to see Mike Ross on this one day.
this is an amazing format! love the personal side of the people playing the games we love! keep on creating these new ways to look at the folks in the fighting sphere!
Man Big E is the goat!. His valuable to this community is so massive. Oh man. i was at that events where Mena and Snake Eyez 1st played each other. I got bounced in the last game of pools HEY!. The Justin and Yipes japanese adventures would be sick
Yes to this concept and you could just interview yipes over and over again and it would probably be interesting. I think you have a unique angle too, being a top player in history you can get better answers probably. Thanks JWong. Also I like that yipes commentates for the masses we have plenty of people that can talk frame data and what the pros are doing technically.
Love this, thanks guys for the ep! Middle aged dad here that grew up in the arcades, this bring back the warm and fuzzies seeing you guys from tournaments and now in the grown mode!
I've seen most of the FGC interviews and this has to be in the top 3 easy. I enjoyed this, the setting, the questions and the fact that this was Yipes. Good pick Wong.
I love this format! The best part it's silly initially, but the deeper into the conversation it feels more intimate, you get the feeling ohh it's the boys hanging out and getting to hear this history of the fgc. Love yipes & Justin. Look forward to your future episodes.
Yo those 48 minutes just flew by real fast. Please make more of this, it was hella fun to watch and listen to. Always cool to see the old school legends talkin about stuff
I loved watching this and hearing the stories of back in the day! I'm glad that I got to visit Chinatown Fair and frequent Family Fun Arcade, memories. I would definitely want to hear more stories, you with the Burger King crown and beating Soo Mighty. I'm all for it!
Great interview, nice to see friends talk with no pretenses and agendas. Yipes in Japan would be absolute gold, first time visiting is a mind-blower. Next interview should be Henry Cen or Arturo Sanchez. Checking off the entire Chinatown Fair crew would be ideal.
I met yipes sometime in the early 2000's. I went to a tiny invitational and saw yipes playing Samford Kelly. I used to play at China town fair too. Probably played justin. Boy did I grow away from the scene. Proud of these dudes. China Town fair is still there
Oh hell yeah! I was hoping you'd do a Lore video. Never did I think you'd do an actual series of it. This is easily my favourite content you got on this channel, free.
Justin’s actually a pretty cool guy. Talked with him at Denny’s after he took over “Family Fun” in SoCal. 😂 Glad to see him prospering. Dope hearing the stories and history.
This is sick, bro. Absolutely great idea. I love fgc lore, love seeing the personalities behind the play. Do this as much as you can, these are the stories that need to be told and preserved.
This was incredibly cool. Thanks to the both of you for sharing thoughts and stories. There's just something about all of us getting up there in age that makes the context of everything we've experienced around the FGC just hit right lol. I like that the convo drifted into the responsibilities and back, cause we're all there, man. Great first set.
almost a year old in the fgc at this time, or at the very least consuming fgc content. Yipes for me was a crush. Love his content to death and it hooked me in.
Glad to see this. Was waiting for Yipes to drop another episode of his podcast but I guess he’s done with it. Love learning about people in FGC and hearing their stories.
Very good idea love hearing these old stories I remember hearing about you guys during Empire Arcadia days and even coming down to PAX and northwest majors back in the early 2000’s.
Yipes was talking about that move with Jax where he was like "GOT CHU *PING* *PING* *PING*" lol that shit was sick. This type of content tho all jokes aside is so sick, just Justin and Yipes chillin is dope.
Love the old school mvc2 memories. To those of us who had a ghetto stick to play on dreamcast, and who checked preppy's page every week in the era before streaming, this was nostalgic. Edit: it also owned how this was mostly taking about family, kids, and weddings, lol
Yipes is one of the most hilarious and memorable commentators in the scene. Thanks for interviewing him, Justin! I'd love to see you do this with other guests, too.
Shouts outs to Yipes for being my first guest!! Who would be the second guest though?
Cast Blanka 100%
IDK, But I need to see a Yipes Unreal Tournament stream asap. I still come back to the game every so often. Would be tight to see some other FGC heads try it out. Game is fun af
@@tristan_tds I wasnt too bad at Unreal 2k4, great game lots of fun, solo and teamplay
Got to be either Punk or Kizzie and maybe some sf4 players like xian, latif, gamerbee, nuckledu
I like the old school players vibe, because there's a lot of untapped knowledge within and beyond the games. That being said, see if you can get VDO. And if you do, let him know that it was a recommendation from his brother, Judgment Day.
Yes I'd love a FGC podcast just interviews with different players over different games
No frills podcast
yipes and chris Matrix
Bring No Frills back!
Yoo Justin x top Melee players?! This is already an amazing series
What ever happened to No Frillz? They still have to finish the tri-force chronicles @@zaqqaz
@@TruLuan Yipes said on a stream it has something to do with matrix. He might be busy or some other reasons
Great concept, and can't go wrong with Yipes as your first interviewee.
Can't go wong
Yipes mad comfy. This not even an interview, this is just two brothers choppin it up on some good vibes
"im pregnant, got two lines on the thing right, it ain't covid."
-Justin Wong
It's really remarkable how Yipes is such a universally loved individual. I can't even find one thing to dislike about him
the peoples champ
I've been wanting something like this for the FGC for a long time. Good stuff!
Born free TH-cam channel
Yeah... R.I.P
Yipes has great charisma. I remember when I use to see Justin and Yipes play at Chinatown fair. Those were definitely dope days for me
This is wholesome, i like it a lot. It sounds like youve made a lot of wonderful friends along the way, justin.
Justin was trying to get Yipes in trouble with some of those question lol 😂
Awesome idea Jwong! I'd love more of this! So many great people to interview!
yipes the most entertaining person ever in FGC free. great way to start the year justin. love you guys
Oh damn this is actually a dope idea. Please do more of these 😤
I always love hearing the MvC2 lore from back in the day!
THIS IS GODLIKE. Been a huge Yipes fan since I saw him in Marvel - I hope yall react to moments in marvel history in another video some day!
This is a great series. Would love to see more interviews with players from you and Yipes generation. I don't keep up with the FGC so much these days but I used to love watching you guys in the SFIV/MVC3 era.
I didn't get exposure to this growing up despite being in y'all's age range. I'd love to see more.
So thats how he looks like. He looks chillaf. Just lnew Yipes from when he did got schooled from JWongs 3 to 1 comeback
I loved this. My two favourite people from the FGC and the first people that come to mind when I think about the culture. This was a great concept and I don't think you could have started with a better guest for EP. 1. Looking forward to more episodes Justin. Would love to see Mike Ross on this one day.
I truly love the convo, the history, and the vibe.... Happy New Year 🎉
This was real
this is an amazing format! love the personal side of the people playing the games we love! keep on creating these new ways to look at the folks in the fighting sphere!
The best thing about this interview is you can see it’s happening in real time with the clock.
Let's go JW!!! More FGCasts pleeeeaase! 🙏 Starting the new year off RIGHT! 🎉
Man Big E is the goat!. His valuable to this community is so massive.
Oh man. i was at that events where Mena and Snake Eyez 1st played each other. I got bounced in the last game of pools
HEY!. The Justin and Yipes japanese adventures would be sick
Absolutely loved this Justin. Will definitely tune into future episodes if this continues.
This reminds me of the Denjin Podcast back in 2008 with Gootecks and a lot of the best 3S players. I love this kind of stuff!
Yeah, for a guy who has a reputation of being one of the hypest guys in FGC, Yipes is so freaking chill.
I would have loved to see Yipes on Triple KO, but this is the next best thing!
I absolutely love this series. Its amazing to have all the questions I had about this legend all coming out in one place we need more run the mindset!
Make more of these J! Love that you got Michael for your first guest ❤️
That Justin's rhymes in the end segment is unexpectedly godlike
That was great. I'd absolutely love more of these longer interviews with famous players and community figures.
why is jwong so happy while showing yipes his bars? and why am I happy seeing jwong this happy?
Im young and new to FGC esports so getting to know where Yipes the legends began is grat, ty for the podcast!
Loving this podcast J.Wong! Very chill vibe. Looking foward to more episodes! 👍
Yes to this concept and you could just interview yipes over and over again and it would probably be interesting. I think you have a unique angle too, being a top player in history you can get better answers probably. Thanks JWong. I hope we get to see justin and yipes on japan together
Love this, thanks guys for the ep! Middle aged dad here that grew up in the arcades, this bring back the warm and fuzzies seeing you guys from tournaments and now in the grown mode!
And @IFCYipes plz come back with the No Frillz podcast man, miss that goodness!
I've seen most of the FGC interviews and this has to be in the top 3 easy. I enjoyed this, the setting, the questions and the fact that this was Yipes. Good pick Wong.
my favorite commentator of all time, I could listen to yipes talk for hours. Was bummed out when he stopped doing no frillz
This is dope. Really love this concept. I'd watch a bunch of these.
Love this! It makes me really miss “No Frillz Podcast” with chris matrix and yipes
I love this format! The best part it's silly initially, but the deeper into the conversation it feels more intimate, you get the feeling ohh it's the boys hanging out and getting to hear this history of the fgc. Love yipes & Justin. Look forward to your future episodes.

Been watching JWong for a WHILE now, but this is instantly my favorite video on the channel. Keep it up! 😌
Man I been trying to interview yipes since before my youtube got big(ish) really wish I could book him.
This is genius JWong! FGC Pod! Yipes is the god bruh. Hands down, best commentator in the biz.
Great interview. Where 1 day into 2024 and already were getting hit with crazy new content on the channel. Love it.
I never knew that Yipes was an Unreal Tournament player and now I like him even more, which I didn't think was possible.
This was an excellent interview; would love to see more of this in the future, for sure.
Justin’s actually a pretty cool guy. Talked with him at Denny’s after he took over “Family Fun” in SoCal. 😂
Glad to see him prospering. Dope hearing the stories and history.
Idk why Yipes being under the covers is so funny to me 😂
Yeah Love this series was chill as hell and was over before I knew it … can’t wait till next one!

almost a year old in the fgc at this time, or at the very least consuming fgc content. Yipes for me was a crush. Love his content to death and it hooked me in.
This was a dope pod. You didn't just ask fgc questions but a variety of categories which I like.
This is giving me No Frillz Vibes and I definitely welcome this.
Hell yeah this is so chill I love this, i can listen to this when I'm working and studying for stuff
Let's go, Justin! Love the idea. Who better to start the series off with other than Yipes? We need more of this! 👍

You can see the bond from these 2 long time friends Real NYC FGC VETERANS
Glad to see this. Was waiting for Yipes to drop another episode of his podcast but I guess he’s done with it. Love learning about people in FGC and hearing their stories.

As an old school fighting game player from the midwest, I appreciate the interview. Great job by both JWong and Yipes!
Yipes is one of the most hilarious and memorable commentators in the scene. Thanks for interviewing him, Justin!
I'd love to see you do this with other guests, too.
Yipes will always be my favorite commentator period. I still refer too Nemesis' whip as the dirty noodle cause of him lol.
So wholesome seeing two legends share a hotel room to save money
Great interview! Great insight and vibes. And hilarious interview couch lolll 😂 #FGC #XBOX
Lol Yipes needs to tat "Mv" and Justin need to tat "C2" then when they come together to run the set we see the whole logo. 😂
Oh man, bedside chats with justin wong
Shout out to fulton Family, man!!
That's where i spent my days after school on the arcades.
Ah old friends. Glad seeing you guys. Bless up my guys
