This is honestly one of the few things Marvel I'm excited about. We can thank the netflix Daredevil fanbase for being so vocal in Disney not making this pg-13 because they would if they could.

This is actually the perfect first villain. It will generate this kind of community content, something Disney and Marvel sorely needs at this point. It also puts an exclamation point on the statement that some of its recent offerings have been built to appeal to different audiences than Marvel’s usual fanbase (she-hulk, WandaVision, etc), and Born Again this may be part of that, moving to that hard R that the Netflix shows were built around.

I loved how grounded and dark Daredevil was, I really hope they capture that again
Gruesome. This really shows that Marvel IS all in with this series. Any fears that I had about Marvel toning things down have been put to rest.
This is a great villain to bring in and if they are willing to go a little more graphic and dark for this show, thats amazing. The Netflix series was dark and did the character justice. Charlie Cox is a great Daredevil and they need to keep that Netflix momentum going into this series.

Great villain to chose! With the fact that we get an 18 EPISODE season there is plenty of time to keep the story and plot at a strong and steady pace without any rushing. The hype for this show keeps getting bigger and bigger!

I'm excited for Daredevil.
I've loved a lot of the 6-9 episode Disney+ shows so far, but I'm definitely looking forward to a show with more episodes.
One thing I love about the normal format of shows like Flash, Lucifer, Bones, Grimm, etc is that there can be an overachieving villain for the season, but we get plenty of episodes in between to see the hero face a variety of smaller villains, *&* we get more time to get to know the characters.

@@exodustimes4266 that's true. Taskmaster is more of an Avengers level badguy for the Dark Avengers and Bullseye is more of a street level villain. But! You gotta admit, Bullseye would be badass for the Dark Avengers. He's an OG Dark Avenger, baby!
@@jacobsims8307 yes, can't wait to see what happens. Daredevil will probably become Peter's mentor figure as he starts his street level crime fighting. She-Hulk, as bad as the show was, showed Daredevil can teach rookie superheroes, so that'd be perfect for Spider-Man as he's learning how to operate.
@that.canadian.vaper.guyTCVG some of my favorite comics are those 2, if they just get that show/movie right I'll be thrilled. I want DD to be an avenger, I like him more than the rest of the assumed avengers roster.

Really great news! I had some concerns regarding the possible "Disney-fying" of the series, but with the past report of how the Punisher will be rated MA, and now this, I am eagerly anticipating this show even more! I hope the strike resolves soon and we can get to see it when it's supposed to drop
When I heard about the 18 episode confirmation for this series, I was ecstatic as I am now! So ready for Daredevil again!
None of this is being filmed right now and won’t be for a while until September minimum since writers and actors are on strike. 🤷🏾♂️.

I'm a comic collector mostly during the 70s/80s, so a lot of these latter villians are outside of my realm, so I am a little less aware of what to expect, so will be interesting seeing where they go with it. Comics have taken a march darker tone since those days.
Yeah I'm excited to see what Disney does with Daredevil and Punisher and happy to see that they're going all-in with the more mature content for their older viewers like us and yeah can't wait to see how they wrap up secret invasion this Wednesday !!! 😎
I think the Secret Invasion finale is gonna be very gory because I foresee a fight between super Skrulls like Gravik and Gi'ah

I've gotta say, I'm cautiously optimistic about this one. My biggest concern was the whole "Disneyfying" of Daredevil, but with what I've heard about Punisher, Deadpool and now this, it seems like it might stay true to the feel of the original series

This is so awesome about the ratings. It seems they are keeping the fighting and everything else in the same area as the old daredevil. I'm glad there is a different villion beside King pin but I'm sure there will be a few more bad guys we all like just my opinion though. And this is a big step for Disney I'm the same way if it does the character justice I'm ok with it. But don't take it over the edge.
