An act of patriotism was caught on camera when a FedEx driver went above and beyond last week to show respect to the American flag; CBS2's Meg Baker reports.

That’s a great story, my husband had lowered our flag in a storm worried that the wind might bring down the flagpole and he couldn’t get the flag off because of the lightning. We were on our way out but when we got home the storm had passed and our flag was flying beautifully. Said to my husband that a patriot must’ve seen the flag down and raised it back up and what a great thing that that person had done. My husband agreed. 🇺🇸❤️
This is a moving video and full props to the driver, and homeowner for sharing it, however can't help thinking that in some parts of US he'd have been mistakenly shot for approaching the door unannounced and appearing to steal the flag! That’s a great story, my husband had lowered our flag in a storm worried that the wind might bring down the flagpole and he couldn’t get the flag off because of the lightning. We were on our way out but when we got home the storm had passed and our flag was flying beautifully. Said to my husband that a patriot must’ve seen the flag down and raised it back up and what a great thing that that person had done. My husband agreed. 🇺🇸❤️
