Thanks, saved me some trial and error. Would have liked to see what happens when you delete the sub project file. But you still saved me some time so THANKS
Hello, Thanks for your upload on youtube! Video is very useful :) I was trying to send my project, subproject and subsubproject into one file or package - .zip/.rar to team member to work on that and at the end share the results/changes. Do you have some recommendations or tips how to do it to maintain all the main project relation with subprojects and subsubprojects? With packing all the .mpp files there are still hyperlink to my local file's locations and relations are broke. Thanks in advance for your feedback. You are making great value :) BR Jakub
Hello, Thank you for your comment and question. So to have the same links in your files, you need to have a common share. That is to say a drive that you share in common. It could be drive N: for example. This is the best to define it with your IT group. Let me know if it worked. Greetings from Geneva.
@@vision6D Hello again, Unfortunately project group that need my share - master project + subprojects was in independent organization with different drive/IT structures. It looks like that sometimes zipping a whole project can help but it is not fullproof solution. I would like to test it more deeply. If I would find 100% working solution I'd let you know. All the best to you! Greetings from Poland BR Jakub
@@vision6D - if I check (tick) the Link project checkbox and while inserting the sub project, if i am using Insert Read only and inserted a sub project. After this i should not be able to make any changes in the master part right? or if am changing some thing in the master part, it is getting changed and also reflected in Sub project.. Is my understanding right? What is the difference between Insert button & insert read only option when Link project is checked in
