It's worth good money no sunroof and no tailgate step is rare this is a special truck

Even though they are built for off road... I won’t take mine too... off road... not ever doing Baja runs..I’m just driving mine on regular roads, my daily driver, I didn’t buy it to beat it and I didn’t buy it to keep in the garage safe from the elements, I bought it to drive to my daily destinations

Really happy for you I just got 1 the day after labor day, you can get a damper shock for the tailgate 35.00 its really nice and takes about 1/2 hour to install. I don't like the nose down thing so I put Eibach leveling springs on mine they have almost the same rating as the stock springs, I also did projector amber C clamp headlights made by Raptor retro fit they are awesome. Again I'm very happy for you enjoy your journey with your new toy

Congrats on the badass truck! I love Gen. 1 raptors; I know you mentioned you don’t have the slow release tailgate, although there’s a solution to that problem online. They sell slow release struts for the bed for this reason. Hope you enjoy it for years to come, can’t wait to see what you have in store for this build.

Congrats and welcome to the club! I’ve got an ‘11 Oxford white SCREW currently and can’t wait to get a ‘14 Ruby Red SE like yours. Curious what that spot is on the bottom of the front passenger door near the front of the door. Looked like rust at first, but since your said it doesn’t have any wasn’t sure what it could be.

2013 raptor roush supercharged in Blue and it's been a fun solid truck for me I just hit 100k on it . Ruby red such a nice color.

@@ShiftedPerspectivehonestly it has been great. I purchased it from the original owner and he took very good care of it . If it wasn't for the miles I would have tought someone just bought it and stuck it in the garage, apart from regular maintenance just one issue. At first I taught it was going to be a costly repair. One time while on the hwy I began to hear a grinding unfamiliar noise under the truck I tought maybe something was caught underneath the skitplate so I pulled over did not notice anything wrong . I continue to drive home and the noise began again so I pulled over again did some research and drove it back home . I immediately order the parts from my local ford dealer based on a you tube video I found on a raptor and by the way it was a ruby red. I spent about $90 . It was a problem with the vacuum 4wd system it was loosing suction. It was very easy to replace the 2 parts and I'm no mechanic by any means . I've owned it now for 2 yrs and it's the 1st ford that I've owned . When it first came out I fell in loved with these 1st gens Raptor , everything about them was just perfect. And it really looks great in the garage next to my 87 grand national 😆. Great video Salute from Palm Springs Ca 🌴

@@ShiftedPerspective Small stuff like tinting the front windows to match the back ones, add a K & N air filter, and I want to add bed lighting. My previous truck had it and it comes in handy. Besides that not much.... it already has a Borla catback exhaust and extra lighting has been installed in the front bumper. Later on I might change the wheels......

Without a sunroof is a good thing my sunroof track cracked (made of plastic) had it fixed under warranty would have been $1200 from a dealership

Trading in my 2019 ram 1500 for a 2014 raptor SE tomorrow and can hardly contain my excitement. Finally found a low mileage one near me...so long mopar, back to my ford roots and my dream truck at that!

@@ShiftedPerspective the one im picking up has 49,000 miles and at 6 years old is still worth $7,000 more than my 1 year old fully loaded ram with 23,500 miles. Congrats on yours!, I almost got a ruby red, such a beautiful color and I usually hate red trucks.
Bluelinebuild so how much are you spending on the Raptor? I have an f150 and sometimes I wish I would have got the Raptor but idk maybe that will be my next truck lol.
@@zachconant7031 they were asking $46,991 and took an extra $2,000 off. So $44,991. I had about $10,000 in positive equity with my trade and also put some money down. Grand total out the door after all that was $28,500
Bluelinebuild not bad, gen 1 raptors are cool as hell. If I eventually buy one idk what gen I’ll get, I like the V8 (have on in my truck) but the twin turbo 6 is no joke either.
Love the truck, lots of utility, great in terrible weather. Thank goodness it’s not a MOPAR truck!

Im about to pick up a single owner 2013 with with 90k miles, he drove it every day about 20 miles down a highway to work, its never been off road before. Im just hoping i dont need to do to many repairs
Same thing with me last year. Bought a 14 ruby red SE with 82k miles. Had to fly out to Scottsdale Arizona to buy it. Took me a year n a half to find it but worth the wait. Amazing condition. It's hard to find one that hasn't been beat to heck.

Yup! I’m going to start small and work my way up. Definitely need to get the slow release tailgate and shorty antenna first
Brandon - those were the first two things I did on my truck as well. Both were a good idea. The other minor things I did shortly after: LED reverse lights, license plate lights and overhead bed lights and then Weather tech mats.
