    Blinker is 1st world problems. I've had an F-150 for over 5 years, 4 bmws and never thought twice about blinker engagement. I use the triple flash all the time for lane changes. Again, no issues.

      definitely a first world problem...which means I don't have any real complaints about the truck

    The blinkers on my Raptor has more resistance between the three signals and full on signal. So I just have to tap it for the three signals but than there’s a pretty decent wall I have to push through for the constant signal if that makes sense

    • @ShiftedPerspective
      @ShiftedPerspective  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah that makes sense and mine is like that too. It just seems like when I am driving, I mess up my signaling more often than on any other vehicle.

    Like the Raptor videos !!! Gen1 Raptor owners always wave and still get people givings thumbs up at the light. Just a great truck esp that 6.2L sound!!!

    Great Stuff! The signal stalk and headlight notifier are minuscule complaints when compared to the overall value and capability of this truck. Look it up, some people have swapped steering wheels and stalks from the 2nd Gen Raptor. As for the lights, I just keep the fogs on and the amber notifier alerts me as to when the lights are on or not in the auto position.

      Just did my spark plugs today. I did it without taking off the fender liners or the tires. All 16 plugs, 8 coil packs and new wires. It took about 4 hours.

    I have a 2014 and your right it is one lazy V8, but for me also it quick enough, and pretty much all your comments is why I got mine. I feel with regular maintenance and reasonable care it should go 300k miles pretty easy, and the ride is HEAVENLY!!!

    Glad someone else hates the turnsignals and headlights so it isn't just me😂 I wish it was possible to change to an 11th or 13th gen 150 stalk but only 12-14s have the front camera washer as a separate function

    I’ve had my raptor for almost a year… it’ll be a year on July 24th. And yes, I agree with you on almost all. My turn signals is the same as yours but it doesn’t bother me at all 😂😂
    On the steps, yeah, they scared the hell out of me when I started hearing the rocks hitting, and I thought it was something else!! They’re loud!!!

    I had a 2013 F-150 FX4 for years, and I immediately regretted selling it. It's funny because I was having the fuel pump issue and it took forever for the dealership to diagnose. I got a Wrangler to replace my F-150, but now I'm shopping for a first gen Raptor. I never felt like I "needed" a truck, but I underestimated how much I would miss the utility.

    Most oncoming vehicles I encounter always move to the right side of the road a bit before they pass me. It must look pretty wide for them. I love mine with a pedal commander. Just an all around amazing truck to drive.

    I put a sticker on mine that says " Not Fast, Just Loud" so everyone will know it's a V8 and I'm not going to push it any more than necessary.
    My 2010 Raptor SVT is stock, I'm doing a few things to it with some puddle lights and light bars. I noticed that your tail gate doesn't look like it has a step built in it. Mine has the step that pulls out and a pull up handle. It sounds like your light sensor is messed up. Mine is automatic with the dash display, if it's overcast or dusk it comes on, if it's daylight out the dash display goes dark.
    I love that color that you have. Mine is a Metalic Black. Yours is only the second one on TH-cam that I've seen that doesn't have the graphics package. Mine doesn't have that either.

      I've been thinking of buying one. I saw a 2010 68kmiles for 32k. I test drove one a week ago & it felt really slow. I just love the look of the gen 1. Any suggestions. Have u had any major problems??

    • @RavancheII
      @RavancheII 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GMONEY-xl5gu so far so good. Mine has @138,000 and I haven't had any issues as yet. I just had my first oil change done to it recently. And I am planning to schedule a few more preventive maintenance services on it as well. Have a system flush on the coolant, and transmission fluid change, and have the other components checked, lubed, etc.
      That sounds like a pretty good deal that you found though. I'm the third owner of my truck. It originally came from Colorado, and it is decent shape for the age and miles. I'm really happy with it. The older ones are heavier than the newer ones by about 1,000 pounds from what I can gather. Aluminum makes a huge difference on weight reduction, but only the rear of my truck is metal, apparently, the front end is either aluminum or fiberglass because a magnet won't stick to it period. But I hope what ever you choose that it give you all of the fun and none of the headaches. I've heard stories about the windows sometimes shattering for little to no reason because of the rear window defroster. Some people recommend unplugging them, but I don't really use mine so it's no problem. The thing that might be an issue is if it doesn't automatically turn off after it gets done defrosting. Some people have had remote starters and said they had issues. But that doesn't explain why the sunroof also has issues with shattering at times. It's the large sunroof that covers the whole truck. Weak glass, maybe a bad batch?
      The rear windows issue is for all model years. I haven't had any issues as yet, but I will keep an eye on it.

    I still have my 2011 Molten Orange super cab Raptor and love it! It draws a crowd in the Home Depot parking lot and lots of thumbs up in traffic. Stainless works exhaust system, headers all the way out the rear exit dual pipes. Brennan pro tune, all 16 spark plugs replaced to E3s, Granitelli spark plug wires and the header heat boots installed. MSD super coil packs, Brand new all 4 wheel Fox shocks, poly sway bar bushings and end links, 2 inch ready lift level load on front shocks, mud flaps, fully loaded with every option, 35 X12.50 BFG A/T KO2 tires, SOTA beadlock rims with hand painted Molten Orange lock rings, Bed mat, BAK MX4 new tonneau cover, triple pillar gauge cluster, K&N C.A.I, 4 wheel updated brake stop drilled/slotted rotors with carbon fiber/ceramic brake pads, AFE pro series rear differential cover, engine to rear sythetic oil changes with Royal Purple fluids, pedal commander, weather tech front and rear floor mats, Uniden R7 radar detector, 50 inch overhead spot/flood light, bumper opening dual LED cube lights, hood mounted LED cube lights, N Fab front light bar with 3 circular 5000 watt red spot lights, all LED factory marker lights replaced, rear taillight guards, and has 59 K on the clock. Actually pretty darn fast and sounds like a race car! I like all the Raptors but am going to keep mine.

    If you push the blinker down slightly it blinks 3x and then stops. All your late model vehicles do that. That’s to quickly change lanes it’s called European style I believe and if you push the blinker switch down further it stays on until you’ve made your turn or until you turn it off yourself if just passing a car. Were you not aware of the 3x blinking?

    • @ShiftedPerspective
      @ShiftedPerspective  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I understand the concept and I’ve driven cars with that, but my point is that the hardware design in this truck is not very good because it’s tough to know where that point is for the blinker with 3 clicks vs fully on. It’s a small gripe, but happens frequently for me

    its Eaasy to park my 67 year old mom drives my 6.2 supercrew raptor. You are just a bad driver if you can't park it. Never had an issue with m4 driving in germany with turn signals. Driver Error , you just use slight pressure on bmw and with f150 you pull it down.
