The Savant Life i really really wish that Suzuki would build a yamaha fz25 killer. A 300cc air cooled with an oil cooler and 25 bhp with 145 kg kerb weight and name it as gixxer 300 but alas suzuki might be too late.
They certainly have all the capabilities to do it. Here's some inside news though - I believe they are planning to launch a 250 CC Gixxer towards the second half of this year.

Proud owner of the bike 2015 sf.... Better option than fz for travellimg 50km a day... I bought for commuting purposes for my btech... But the fun of riding it is incredible dont ever underestimate japanese bike by their numbers.. Fz25 beats duke 250.... Numbers are not everything... Also btw topspeed is 131kmph...

Fz25 is not even comparable to Duke 200 in terms of acceleration, let alone top end, and you are talking about Duke 250 lol. Fz25 is a 5 gear bike.
@@mayukhsen8195 FZ 25 , it's damn torquey engine , test driven my friends bike which had its 3rd service over . U can definitely reach close to 135 Kmph which is d max I had . It's low on power on paper , but initial pickup is insane due to high amount of torque .Trust me , It can give tough competition to Duke 250 .
Mayukh Sen fz25 can beat Duke 200 easily but Duke 250 nope it will match Duke 250 till 70kmph after that Duke 250 will win .fz25 has same sprocket as Duke 250. And weighs same as Duke 200 with more torque.
Gixxer sf with rear disc..... using for past 2 years
Pros:-
* Reliability.. engine performs good in all weather conditions.. self start never miss to fire.
*Low maintenance... Service cost Rs1200
*Awesome handling & cornering.. too much confidence inspiring...
*Suspension & chasis is really good.. lets you know what bike is upto..
*Best low & mid grunt.. urges to go fast..
*Now even Better brakes(ABS)
*No vibration fm fairing still intact.. No lose bolts....... (as seen in RS200. & Apache RR310)
And even suits shorter riders.
Cons:
*Vibration start to creep in after a year
*Gear box too hard & false neutral... No improvement.
*Headlight bulb is crap...
*Black painted metal parts have lost their color... Rusting of parts..
*Not refined as Yamaha fz
To sum it up.... Best budget sports bike....with good performance, handling...& reliability

i'm the owner of gixxer sf for a year perfect for touring i have done many crazy tours with my bike.gixxer sf is smooth zero vibration even at 100+ but if u wanna hit 115-120 hard to acheive. fun bike great milage more than u expect, on highways 55kmpl great midrange performance.
You summed it up perfectly - overall it's a bike that exceeds expectations.
Is the any Back pain Issue while taking it for long tours.?? Is it really comfortable
nice review mate i got the same bike the blue version its great on gas and is easy to maintain. Had mine for just over a year had 2nd service done 12700km done on it.

The red is a real eye catcher. The road grip is fine and it's quite comfortable for long rides considering it's a faired bike.
The Savant Life road grip is fantastic... You can scrap ur knees

If you interested in long ride go for intruder...... Because of same butter smooth engine from Gixxer.
Compare with Royal endfild
Intruder having less maintenance cost and better comfort but RE having great classic look and resale value.
Compare with Bajaj Avenger series
Intruder having better equipped, better comfort level and riding quality. Maintaining cost similar for both brand's . But similar price you can buy a 220cc engine from Bajaj Avenger series
Comparison of 150cc and 220cc apart from intruder is well equipped and valu for money product.

Firstly - thanks. Secondly, there's nothing wrong with the speedo - it's a test bike so the speedometer is usually disconnected.

I'm a bit confused between RTR 200 (Carb+ Pirelli's) and Gixxer SF Fi ABS (2k costlier), falling into the same price segment.
Being a student and searching for a bike capable of effortless touring and cruising at 90-100 kmph, will the SF be a wrong decision? (Not being a great fan of drag races or top speeds, but some pickup is required ;) )
SF: the bike features fairing to deal with the wind blast, Fi, ABS (adding to the safety), MORE FUEL EFFICIENCY ( I'm a student ;) ) and weight lighter by 8Kg than the RTR.. Suzuki's service, better quality and lower maintenance costs are also important..
Will it be felt underpowered on highways in front of RTR, to serve the touring purpose and will the equipment on SF be enough to do justice to the 1 lac tag it bears..?
Please reply! RTR's torque and power are the only distractions in front of the SF...

I'm six feet tall Seat Height - 780 mm in gixer sf will it be comfortable to ride or not ? Because I feel the bike is short.. is it a perfect sport model ?? And i feel like it's short so I will get leg pain? Generally every tall person complains about the height or i by myself?? What is your view?

This is not a racing machine and Suzuki focuses this as a touring machine rather . Although its underpowered for a tourer it still gets the job done . This is relatively better than fazer and I would like to hear your perspective soon with a comparo

Fairing or naked is totally your own choice. As for the color, the blue is an absolute classic with Suzuki, however I really loved this new red they've brought out as well. Take a look for yourself and decide - good luck!

I am quite confused between FZ S 2017 and GIXXER SF 2017 model.
Please help me with which one should I go.
My need is commuting office 25kms one way on city and highway.
My preference are good looking, good road grip, portholes saver, vibe free and performance.
Please advise as before this coming Sunday 7th May I have to finalized.
I would be highly thankful if somebody can bring me out from this confusion.
Both are good bikes. I own a FZ16 V1 - so I'm partial towards it. The Gixxer is a good bike too especially if you like faired bikes. If you asked me to pick one, I would go with the Yamaha.
The Savant Life - Bro I confused between FZ-S V2 and Fazer v2. Which one is best in terms of performance, flick-ability, and top end?. Which one can do better in high-way with 100-110 speed without much effort and to filtering traffic?
I would personally go for the FZ but there is a new Fazer 250 that is about to come out - so you may want to check that out.

Bro, How about the Long ride and Pillion seat comfort? Bike is comfortable for Long ride (Mean around 350km) and pillion will be comfort for the long drive?
Yes - you should be able to. Pillion comfort is fairly ok as well.

ya thanks you should definitely try reviewing the fi variant since people who have tested it say its feels even more smoother and way better than the already great carb variant but its not available in red colour yet

Good Review. I travel on the same road(Old Airport Road) everyday to office on my Suzuki Gixxer SF MotoGP edition. Quick Question, when I bought it didn't have the rear disc. I asked suzuki and they said 10k for the rear disc to be fitted to mine. I have heard many people say rear disc or drum it doesn't. Is it true? and is 10k worth it?
