- I have shied away from reviewing the Yamaha FZ2.0 as I didn't want to come across as partial to the bike. In case you didn't already know, I'm a huge Yamaha fan and own a Yamaha FZ myself.
So with great restraint, I held myself off for a very long time but alas I laid eyes on the FZ2.0 with FI and I couldn't resist anymore. Good News ! The 2018 Yamaha FZ-S now uses a 220 mm hydraulic single rear disc brake, in addition to the 282 mm front disc brake for more effective control. While cosmetic changes aren't in plenty, the motorcycle does get a sporty alloy wheel design along with a completely new mirror design.
Waiting for this bike, I just cancelled my FZ bike registration today

I love the FZ . Only 2 drawback . No abs (will get abs in 2019) . Kinda bad top end compared to competitors
Liked the video. I think all the fz series bikes are made for enjoying a little bit of everything. It's not for winning races or sharp corner attacks or going very fast. That's why it's not that powerful and doesn't have sports frame too. Yamaha is very clear in their approach.

FZ is the best for city riding. I don't know about the pillion comfort though.

bought in 2014. clocked 56k.never got 55 kmpl , I got 51kmpl max( in 2016, with sane riding), and 40 kmpl min( when I drove it over 75pmph). most reliable and pocket friendly ASS( really bro, even I am perplexed). still goes as new. not comparing with anyone. it might not be best in any parameter in this segment, but I think this is actually the best all rounder in this pool. and I must say, own it , ride it and you will speak my words again

Forget about bhp torque and other theoretical stuff this bike is best in its class..It got macholook mileage excellent pickup and reliable engine after all its YAMAHA!!!

I've bouncing back and forth between hornet ns and fz. Considering fz costs significantly more than the other two here in Bangladesh i thought id take ns. But I've an inherent weakness for fz, like you. I think I will spend the xtra 70k.
If u were running away from a big tsunami wave on bike would it b fz 2.0 or Apache 1604v( everyday road conditions).
Everyday road conditions don't include a big tsunami, at least in Bangalore. But I'd go with an RTR 160 4V.

It's much smoother and has more pep - I'm sure it returns a higher mileage as well but obviously I couldn't check that.

yeah!! 2017 fz is top notch... 2014 fz was nt good... thatz why people preferz gixxer n later hornet till (2014_2016)... bt in 2017 Yamaha fz... incredible ... I love the way it perform zzz.... guyzzzz don't comment before taking a test ride of fzs 150... it doesn't feel zzz slower lyk 2014 model...bs4 + Fi+ blue core gelz well which bs3 models lackzz

paras kathayat dude you need to know which bike you prefer. Dont ask anyone for their choice. Its you who will ride the bike so you have to pick one and be happy at the end of the day. Cheers

If u want best city performance ,refinement n vibration free motor go for the FZv2.0.......with best mileage figures of 50
+ kmpl if ridden sensibly n even when u push it,it gives u 45+kmpl...I'm using it n believe me bro........!!!
Like I always say, if you want a fun, wild bike - go for the Gixxer. If you want a more refined and stable bike, go for the FZ.

Karthi jr It costs pretty much the same for servicing. You won't get 55 kmpl - at the most 40-45.

If you want a hassle free experience, go with the FZ. At least that has been my experience.

FZ FI v2.0 is an ossom bike but the brakes as you said are not point ON. they are lazy and late for that matter even the disc brake on the front wheel is also disappointing. Coming to the speed ... I do not agree with you that it is incredible because I have seen activas riding at par with the FZ. All said and done, am still a Yamaha fan right from the RX100 days .. I owned an RX100 and now the new FZ V2.0
Well - a thing with the FZ is it still feels quite fast. And sometimes how a thing "feels" makes you think a particular way.
