Nobody wants that stupid ass little turbo motor for $7,000 more than the previous truck & less quality Glad i bought my Tacoma when i did. Lil slow & rough around the edges but 1 hell of a rig 🤠👊
We’ve been a Toyota family for 20 years, but between quality issues over the last year and the fact they can’t seem to manage their inventory so they change a premium we bought two new Subarus instead. Keep playing games Toyota.
I have zero empathy for these dealerships. 2020-2023, they treated customers like trash. They would show you the door if you were not willing to pay their 10-30k markup. They took advantage of people and now they are in trouble. Now the people are showing these dealerships the door.
The problem at Toyota is arrogance like they are entitled to sell vehicles just based on their reputation instead of substance of the current products. The legendary Toyota years from around 1987 with the launch of the most leap forward Camry to around 2006 when the LS430 ended production took place when the top brass at Toyota was mostly born before WW2. Their mentality was to build the best product for the customer and find a way to be profitable. Gen Y is now in some high level management at Toyota. The mentality is to maximize profits and make it durable enough for the warranty claims to not kill them. They managed to botch that with the Tundra engines. Their vehicles are no longer bargain priced or durable. If you really do not keep a car after the warranty ends you are better off in a BMW lease. Don’t buy a newer used Toyota out of the warranty period and expect it to be like the older models where things rarely broke and when they did it was inexpensive to repair.
That is absolutely correct ,my 2004 Toyota 4runner with 80k mile on it ,did some painting and mechanical work. looks nearly new and drives like new. Then they were built like a tank but today's build is nowhere near the. Quality of 20 years ago.at my age I will keep til I am no longer around. New vehicles never, grossly overpriced. And way too many Quality issues.
The local dealership keeps trying to get me to trade in my 3rd gen Tacoma. I told them that I would sell it for $400,000 cash. They haven't responded to my offer.
This week I sold my 2023 CX-30 Mazda (10K Miles) 4 cyc. POS for a used 2010 Lexus GS 350 with 136K miles. Best decision. Will never buy a new car again.
Curious about the issues. I worked with Mazda when they shared architecture with Ford and was impressed with their Engineering and design validation practices. Thanks.
This guy is a suck up. He needs to show window stickers. He won’t cause most (many) of us will laugh HaHAHa Tell the truth brother. Sh*t vehicles Way Way Way overpriced…,
I think a lot of this isn’t for the planet but pull in more service into the dealers. It’s about how can they bring in more revenue over the lifetime of the vehicle.
I really do love Toyota. I own one and it’s the best vehicle I have ever owned, bar none. But definitely not a fan of their products and pricing these days.
Bring back manual transmissions, naturally aspirated engines and lose a bunch of useless technology and maybe customers will come back if prices drop sharply.
I wanted to buy Camry 2025 model by the dealer. But their asking price is 5k+ higher right now. So, waiting till November. If they don't sell me at MSRP then I'll go buy Honda Accord. Which has good class car with 3k incentive.
Again , as you have mentioned, turbos do burn out after 100-150k. Most people don't know how to start and turn off their turbo vehicles, especially on hot days or sustained driving. This is due to higher federal fuel mileage requirements, no doubt.
These dealers/manufacturers have two choices...let the unsold vehicles sit, rot away, and do nothing or...reduce all MSRP's by 33%. That will sell them!
Mark I think you’re video is spot on I would buy a new 4Runner SR5 4x4 for list price But most dealers have 2 4Runners in stock which are loaded with a bunch of extras So I guess that I won’t be buying any and definitely not any turbo vehicles One question though - I’ve read that the 3.4 L twin turbo engine has been in production for a while and used in the LS-500 Is that BS or not? To me it sounds like it is My dream vehicle is a 1960s to early 70s Chevy Nothing like a vehicle that you can fix yourself Push rods and low tech stuff is the way to go Who cars about fuel economy?😂
I still see shortages of Camrys, Corollas, Prius and RAV4. I have some questions on the 2025 Camry Hybrid powertrain and there are times when I'd prefer normally aspirated. I also note that Toyota has dropped the 6-cylinder engine option. It seems like they've dropped their higher-displacement engines. Add-ons are still an issue at my dealership and I'm waiting for them to go away.
Took our 2016 Lexus RX350 in for service recently and had a new RX loaner. It just wasn’t as much fun to drive as our rock solid V6. We’ll keep our RX till the wheels fall off. No turbos for us…
It sounds like you read the title of another video but didn’t read the disclaimer and ignored the decades that Toyota hybrids have been reliably running 🙄
@JDMSwervo2001 there's are some, but I wouldn't say 100. My local dealer's front facing vehicles are all the current generation trucks. In 2021 around this time they had two trucks on the lot.
Good luck finding a Corolla, Corolla Cross, GR86, Prius, Camry on the lot. If they are desperate it's because both the Tundra and Tacoma have had one issue after another, but still cost as much as $80k.
Toyota is fine Camry corolla RAV 4 all good Of course prices are going up and yes it’s the trucks with the new engines at least they are going to replace them all will see
I dont get it, there's barely any Toyotas on lots up here in Canada.. Dealers have maybe 4-5 cars\trucks Total? Lots are empty.. Other brands are fine and lots are loaded, it's only Toyota for some reason that are scarce.. And it's not because people are buying them, there's just no Toyota inventory here.
The last 4runners sold out quickly a month ago or so. I have yet to see a new GR86 or GR Corolla, there may be one Supra and a handful of other cars/trucks. Go elsewhere and there will be a lot more to see. Toyota dealers seem to have trucks, a couple of SUVs and many B4ZXs.
Toyota dealers in the GTHA require you to order new vehicles as virtually no inventory on their lots. My friend just ordered a 2025 Corolla hatchback with delivery expected in 6 to 9 months. Visited 4 stores and all were similar situations yet a recent visit to a city in Ohio the dealers had lots of inventory to pick from.
I live in San Fernando valley in Los Angeles and I see toyota dealerships empty and I see Chevy, dodge , jeep , ford dealerships full of new cars ; I wonder why. 🤔 I think because Toyota is selling and the rest are not .
No one can afford new unreliable vehicles. New technology will and more complicating causes recalls making buyers experiment on what will cause their vehicles to break down. I feel bad for folks who expected the new Tundra to run like the older model that is far more superior and reliable. I like that if it is not broken don't fix it. New Toyota are not like the old reliable vehicles like they used to be.
Unfortunately, here we are dealing with Tundra & Tacoma problems. The rest of the Toyota lineup remains very solid. Maybe ask the USofA what is going on.
Toyota like Ford and John Deere, have distanced themselves from woke programs, but a little too late. Now you know where the added cost goes to fund DEI employees/programs/initiatives. PC is more important than quality now. NO THANKS. What a shame, since was planning to buy Landcruiser next year after my Subaru 3/36 mile warranty expires.
my friend is picking up his ordered RAV4 today in Ky. He is a Toyota freak and will never drive anything else. Great cars but are nowhere near worth what they sell for. No cars are, IMO. That and the fact that Japan is on the brink of financial collapse, worse than we are, should concern everyone relying upon their parts. When you see Subaru selling out to Toyota, they know when to get out. Looks like they were right.
You know Turbo will cause engine problems. It will cause engines to require lots of problems for the crankshaft bearings. This was explained by the BMW motor engineer.
Toyota is just not producing enough Corollas for the Canadian market. They are intentionally limiting sales in order to keep prices high for the dealers. Well, consumers are going to Honda Civic and Mazda3 instead, since they can't get a Corolla.
There's too much computer control and not enoug mechanical ones and hybrid are available but not enough of v6 ICE cars people want. There's waiting lists for some models; even.
Also Dealership games with the Markups and Toyota financial not being able to process payoffs for months and going away from what made them great Naturally aspirated V6 and V8 and they wonder why this is happening.
Shyster toyota dealership! Negotiation begins at the MSRP not the Bull Shit dealer mark up addendum. Amazing! The dealer was gonna back out of a "previous commitment" with a customer, to sell it to you for more. It's no wonder why people hate dealerships and salespersons.
That electric Viking guy is a joke. My thing is not a whole lot of people buy tundras sequoias and tacomas but they don’t have a hard time selling their other models
They switched the Sienna to hybrid only for the 2022 money year. I only know this because I was purchasing a vehicle at the end of 2021, and was considering a Sienna
I have bought Toyota 4Runners for decades. I recently switched and bought a Luxurious Mazda CX-90 Turbo S Premium Plus with a six cylinder engine. I bought it cheaper than a new 4Runner, and slightly over invoice. Mazda offered value for pricing, which Toyota no longer does.
2026 honda passport trailsport looks good as advertised! 3.5 v6 reliable motor new 10 speed transmission same awd system as the acura , s hawd ! They'll sell big time !!

Amen! My 2002 still runs like a champ. Working on 400k miles
Toyota sold 1mln hybrids mainly in Europe this year......hybrid engines are very reliable.
Sakes are declining due to salesstop. Don't talk nonsense
The writing is on the wall...people dont want this turbo shit!!!
Charging an ongoing fee for remote start doesnt help.
"apps" are just a way to charge you a recurring fee for something you used to be able to own...
With gold at 2700.00 an ounce, paper money isn’t worth much anymore. A Toyota Corolla for 32,000.00 new? For me, it will never happen!😂
