I bought a tracker III completely stripped it down to bare aluminum . New wiring, foam, new carpet and seats. It’s great for a newly retired man. Great vid, have fun.

Really nice restore!!! I’ve seen lots of them were the motors torn up electronics are all shot etc. that was a great score with the motor and trim intact. You do great work👍
Thank you and yes that was the best part about this boat ( and all aluminum) but I've also saved and rescued many pleasure boats with mercruiser v8 and some had no drivetrain at all and I know those boats like back of my hand lol. And grew up building chevy motors. Really don't know much about outboards
Outboards are simple engines but can be tricky to tune etc. I’ve rebuilt a couple small outboards parts can be hard to get!

I remember sitting in Bass Pro in those Tracker boats, wishing I could afford one when I was younger. Makes me sad to see one get like that. I'm glad you were able to rescue it.

Looking good 👍. I have a 2006 18.1 All Fish Coastal series, it has the 90 2 stroke. It will run 51 mph by myself, 47 mph two people. It has the vinyl on the floors. It’s in great shape, I've kept it until shelter since I bought it new. They're really great boats. It even has the original seats in it.
That is awesome, glad to hear someone taking care of their boat , it'll look great for so many years when taken care of, I only had this one out once and speedo line was clogged and didn't have the GPS yet so not sure what the speed is. I was guessing low 30's but maybe im wrong hoping it's faster than I think , I'm about to install lower unit seals and should have back on water soon as im in Florida right now with it , so check out the up coming videos and we will see how fast she is lol

Nice work, it turned out lookin killer. In many ways the older trackers are set up better than the new ones. Overall they're great little boats, spent the day on the Ohio river in ours yesterday.

Wow! Man... that is one of the best transformations I have ever seen on a boat. Always loved a Bass Boat. Grew up with Salt And Fresh Water boats and motors of all sorts, and we always loved Bass Boats. y Grandpa was a Dealer Exec for Johnson Outboards.... 70s and 80s. We always had all kinds of boats, and we loved Bass Boats. This one has made an unbelievable transformation! It's way better than it was when it was new! I especially liked what you did with the console and the Motor. Wow. Unbelievable! I want to take on a project like this in a couple years.... Liked and Subbed!

Neighbor of mine got boat like this new, used it less than a handful of times ,. It's been sitting outside for 20 years at least , I cry every time I drive by. Such a Waste!!!

enjoyed both videos I just started my own rebuild mine hasn't been in the water in 4yrs . 89 bass tracker pro 17 with a 60 hp johnson . same thing nice boat just needs tlc oh I have no trees growing in mine . got some ideas from you and I thank you for them . if you keep the boat enjoy it , if you sell it retire .

Im glad i got to save this boat from being parted or scraped. ,but im more of a pleasure boat guy and we party alot on water so this one really doesn't suit me well so i will be selling after using couple more times. That an awesome job. Like you, I'm a perfectionist and as a perfectionist I noticed that the elevated seat on the back deck, well the plate on the bottom of the seat looks backwards. Could be wrong but check that. Seat should lean slightly backwards when correctly installed. The front looked correct. Love your work!
Thanks and ill double check but I think the plate is same all around, I even painted them black as they were dirty old silver but they were same when off and painted. Must just be the way im on little hill and on trailer. Boat sits flat on water
@@Vassmotorsports , if you set the plate on a table with the pin sticking up, look really close and you can see the pin is not straight. It's slightly angled. Correctly mounted the pin will angle toward the back of the seat. This makes the seat very slightly angled back.
Jasper is the coolest looking small dog I have ever seen. Boats cool too

Now she's beautiful!! How can promise people let a nice little boat or any boat go like that. Everyone is looking for a deal on a bigger boat, their 1st boat, or a bass boat. I have my 2023 Oldtown Autopilot 120, with the Minnkota motor up front, and I run a 2.5 Suzuki on my stern. That's a 5k kayak. But it's more like a one man Fishing machine. Not to mention all my add-ons, accessories, electronics. And I could've purchased a bass boat, but that's just not how I personally fish. We all enjoy our hobbies differently. Great video my friend. 💯 🌊 🎣

Man, you do a terrible disservice to guys like me - you give us the false idea that we have the skill, talent and perseverance to try to restore old vehicles, too! I watched Jeep videos for a while and next thing I know, I had 3 old carcasses and I was welding and grinding away! I never got one to run, but I passed them on to the next guy. Now, I’m searching Marketplace for an old boat! 😂

Thanks for watching Vassmotorsports, it was a nicely made boat , I sold shortly after restoring her , I recently picked up a 98 Sea Nymph (in another video) to resell and it's all aluminum also ,except I'm not sure how much I agree with the big rivets they have everywhere holding the boat together under the water line , seems like a place to start leaking after so many years , nothing stays sealed forever, the Bass Tracker was all welding and no rivets on lower or hull

Wow, you really saved that boat. I always thought it was ironic that boat, that was made to be in water and be out side, will deteriorate so quickly if left out. Rain and weather are the worst thing for any boat

Great job man what a restoration be proud on that boat .I still have my 2001 in factory practically meant condition few Is dings on the bottom and stains on the carpet but I really want to do my carpet .I love the way you redid it and also wanna do my console black like like yours .I do have faux walnut wood grain under my gauge cluster .And under my switch cluster so that's how they came from the factory. really good boat but I wish you showed more about the carpet work you did. because I'm terrified to do mine. I also managed to fit 2 group 31 deka batteries next to my fuel tank. Cut both sides off the battery tray.
