Still convinced that your beard is glued on
Your mom grabs my beard all the time... she can verify it's real.
@@SendItJonBoats well she’s got Alzheimer’s so…..you could probably sneak anything by her
@@SendItJonBoats 😂
That's offensive to say his beard is glued one when it's obviously its premium velcro
Now I cant unsee it
Best opening statement!!!! “It’s your boat!!!” Kudos!
ha ha awesome, thanks for watching.
Came for the boat build... stayed for the hilarious commentary. Great job with the build and thanks for the laughs...
Glad I could get you laughing. Appreciate you watching the video.
Same… I was like, “I’m not watching a 30 minute video on this”
Watched the entire 30:29 😂
Even if I had no interest whatsoever in tiny boat builds, I'd still watch your channel for your wicked sense of humor... Love both the information you impart, as well your sas as your go through a project. Brings a smile to my face and laughs every time. You made my day once again (and I truly need this after the day I just had!). Thank you!
LMAO, thank bud, glad I could humor you. This video will bring out some scooters for sure and give me even more stuff to roast people about.
You talk so much about glittery bass boats, seems like envy.
nah... I would never envy a $60,000 glitter rocket payment. I will stick with my cheapo boats!
OMG, I love this guy, I will probably watch this 472 more times. Send it!
Yee Yee! Full send, watch it at least 471 more times so youtube will pay me 8 cents! LOL
Best rehab I've seen on YT. You made good calls all the way through. Wish I had your abilities and foresight.
Probably the best person I’ve ever listened to commentate a video! Love the humor!
Thank you, I appreciate that! I have never done much voice over videos like this so I was not sure exactly how to do it. Guess I got it right
@@SendItJonBoats it was the first video of yours I’ve come across. I enjoyed it so much that I’ve told several of my buddies about your channel. Good stuff, keep it up
The introduction to, or essentially the first minute & say...... 8 seconds of this video might just be the absolute best intro to any video I've ever seen!!!
Thanks Jacob. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Love the disclaimer...that alone deserves a sub! Lol!
LOL, thanks for the sub. Appreciate you checking out the video.
Thumbs up for the intro disclaimer!
Love the comments on the bass boat hatches. And the fact that it’s a boat not a sub, so stuff will get wet.
Them bass boat boys always gotta have a hatch for everything. Need a tampon hatch for sure.
A mighty effort, honesty, and above excellent work, I handed over your hands❤
Thanks, appreciate you watching the video.
Man, you got me straightened up on how I need to do these side rails on my old boat, bracketed to the ribs. Hate holes in the boat. Many thanks and dig your “Scooter” comments in the hater station. Good stuff, brother. Keep it up and hope y’all get a good coach at LSU. This from a decades-long Kentucky Wildcats fan! SEC West needs LSU to provide someone to battle ‘Bama.
Thanks Tom, I thought it was pretty good idea and it worked out well, just had to fiddle with it a bit to get it the way I wanted.
Bro, when he said if you are really curious about learning how to build boats professionally you should check out the comments section of this video or any of my other videos.... I about died laughing... I smashed the like button and I was not even a minute into the video. Before the internet I never knew how many experts there were in everything. Do your thing man, it rocks. Trolls will be trolls.
LMAO.... man I get roasted in the comments on a daily basis and I love how upset people get with me. Someone got to give these scooters some sh#t back! LOL.
Great vid...I was hooked after the troll disclaimer at the beginning. 🤣
Glad you enjoyed, got to give the haters and trolls some love!
Rewatching this 7 months later and I’m glad I did. The technique you used the straighten out the angle aluminum along the inside of the catwalk is going to be used on my build.
It works real well. We do it all the time at the shop
I liked the way you laid it all out in the beginning, LOL I redid boats for about 30 years, I was just like you, straight forward, you dont like it, don’t buy it!!! It is amazing how many experts there is when you work on someone’s else’s boat! Nice video, great build!
LOL, you and I think exactly alike. Them internet keyboard warriors go crazy in the comments telling me how they do it.... got to love the couch experts that have never done it.
@@SendItJonBoats WOW first 10% of video is about how much you care about what people think... lol. Who cares just build buddy.
This is the best video I have ever seen. Thank you
This is the best boat redo video I’ve seen, great job.. This is the best boat redo video I’ve seen, great job..
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate you watching.
Just came across this channel a couple days ago when I was trying to find a video on camouflaging a jon boat. You seem very knowledgeable the work you do is professional. I plan on watching more of your vids to learn more as I am brand new to boating. Also love the jokes and "Lets Go Brandon" tshirt. Keep it up
Awesome and thanks for watching. I appreciate it.
Man, this thing came out great! I've built cat walks in my design to, I want as much deck area as possible so the cat walks seem like the best option in the pit area.
I love the catwalks, I wasn't sure about them at first but I really like them now
Quintiin is the best of the best

Your sense of humor is amazing 😂👍🏻
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video.
Love the disclaimer. I was building a jet drive boat and had a uncle who was broke telling me what I should do. I finally told him if he paid for it I would build it the way he wanted me too.
LMAO that is awesome my man. I wish I could tell that to all the scooters out there.
Your boat builds are definitely awesome. But the comments you make about every piece you put in is almost as good! Definitely going to subscribe and look forward to future videos.
It looks great! I liked the decking. I subscribed.😎👍
Thanks for the sub! I am really happy with the boat, got a video coming on the decking soon!
Love the shirt…. Boat looks awesome and yes Geaux Tigers!
Yee Yee geaux tigers!
By far the most simplest build yet , for my 14'Jon boat, lets go fishing, thanks
Heck yeah! Thanks for watching
Just a tip man, you can sharpen drill bits instead of buying new ones. And if you use cutting fluid I guarantee you won’t have to sharpen that bit after drilling a couple hundred holes in aluminum because it’s so soft and the holes aren’t very big. Just don’t burn it up.
Good point, I have a drill bit sharpener, I just buy like 5 bits, use them till they are dull, and re sharpen all at once. Most folks dont though which is why I said go buy a bunch.
Another option for the bungee cord would be a stainless steel machine screw and wing nut. Would be easy to latch down more securely (stronger than a bungee) but still easily removable on demand, including while on the water. Maybe use those custom L brackets on the bottom to attach too.
That's a good idea, I may try that. the bungee cord was a last minute easy thing.
24:06 "And all that space under my deck is big and wide open so I have plenty to store a larger objects, if I want you know, like a body or something" 😂 I got goosebumps lol, is this how Dexter dispose the bodies?
It’s amazing on what you started with and what you ended up with for a johnboat fantastic job
What was the overall cost of the build? Would love to do mine the same way
I will be doing a video when it is done with all the cost breakdown.
Just so you know my uncle daddies nepson said hand riveting is bad and harbor freight pneumatic for the win. I sit to pee so that's all I use don't hate.
LOL... I bet your uncle daddies nepson also eats his Cheetos dunked in peanut butter.
@@SendItJonBoats psh its Nutella not penut butter. gosh Tina
boy got that LSU tiger on the wall. HELL YEAH break out the jambalaya and white beans. lol
Yee Yee! Geaux tigers
Please timestamp 25:03 the scooter section! I always watch your whole video but I absolutely must watch the hater section first!!! Lolol thanks for the content, most excellent channel!!! SEND IT !!!!!
I will start adding chapters and timestamps... been avoiding it because it takes so much freakin time.
@@SendItJonBoats awesome video! This is one of your very best ones thank you!
you know alot of pizza places are now printing " pleases open box before eating pizza " on the box.... bunch a scooters out there I guess
Freakin really? what is this world coming too?
As a professional engineer, that shiii looks good mane 👍 however, I don't like the foam. I've had a boat with foam in it and it help float but once it absorbs water it starts to weight ALOT and that takes away from your payload. There's not a ton of foam there but you never know.
Dude that thing looks amazing
Cant get over the way you give this run down.this is how i get everything done to a T 😂 love the video keep it up
Awesome thanks for watching.
Great tips on fitting everything up before drilling, works much better than going off measurements
I never measure right anyways so I have to fit everything or else it will look like garbage
bad ass dude. i just bought 1648 xpress boat w a 15hp tiller motor & i wanna put a bigger front deck on it.
Bigger deck is always better for comfort and fishing. Thanks for watching the video.
The first 60 seconds of this video got me to subscribe
Awesome, thanks for the sub!
Awesome work! The comment about working on your knees popping rivets by hand, we refer to those who need a little sissy pad for the knees, as San Francisco Sandles hahaha. You're welcome.
Ha ha... San Francisco Sandals I am going to use that! Thanks! LOL
Just stumbled accross this.... had to explain to my girlfriend why I was laughing so hard at a video of a boat.
LMAO.... typical women, they don't get the boat jokes. LOL glad you enjoyed it, appreciate you watching
Jajajaja… awesome comment on storage hatch for man tampons…awesome build brother, simple and straight to the point..🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👌👌
Amazing craftsmanship. Good job.
Love the T-shirt!! FJB!!
FJB! Thanks for watching.
Im Sorry I have terrible OCD but at 3:58 I cant stop throwing up every time I see those hinges on the hatches in different directions, and not being symmetrical. but that's the way you did it, and I really like your videos keep it up.
I wish they were the same but unfortunately I was on a budget so I dug through the mess up pile and got them as close as I could.
Great video and super helpful, I have a 1648 Grizzly and I want to keep it simple like yours and not a lot of compartments, thanks again ❤️👊
Simple is always better for me! Thanks for watching.
That’s pretty badass! Gawd Damn! You Grilled the first Scooter hard! 🤣🤣🤣 nice!
I love grilling the scooters! They make me laugh
Great work bro, keep it coming, from Maryland ✊🏾
Thanks bud!
Effffiiinnnn one of the Top 10 Jon Boat vids out there for sure!!! Between Harbor Freight and drinking beer… you are def talking my language hahaha!!
Heck yeah man! Beer and harbor freight is my love language.
Good looking boat
Thank you very much
All the bass fishing hatches… I died! I was ROLLING bro! 😂😂😂
Them bass boat boys kill me with all the dang hatches... Im like why the hell you need a special hatch for your hello kitty purse? Weirdos
Not even a minute in & I had to subscribe!
Heck yeah man, thanks for the sub. Glad you enjoyed the video.
This thing is awaome !!! Looks amazing ! I would love to have a set up like this.
Might try some “ Tap Magic Aluminum “ Should Help Bits last Longer
I didn't know they made a tap magic for aluminum. Thank you I will have to try that.
@@SendItJonBoats Tap Magic xtra thick is for Harder Metals it stays on bit better, I don’t know if it will work on aluminum. I’ve used both. I just dip in the Liquid, and Use spout for the xtra thick. Glade to Help Thank You for Your Shows and Response.
🤣😂🤪🤣😝 Dammit, COACH!!!
You had me cracking up!!!😁😂
Wanted to finish out the floor of my 14’ Jon boat primarily to make my ‘Beer can Boat’ more quiet. When dropping a bait or something, I’m like, “Yep! I just scared every living creature within a mile radius!” And likely challenged a Bigfoot to an arm wrestling contest!!😖🥺cuz he interpreted my 1/2 Oz. bullet weight hitting the floor, as a tree knock by a competing male!!🦶🏾
I saw your video and watched!! First time seeing your vids and loved it!!!
Just had to leave two bass mouth destroyed thumbs UP!!! 👍🏼 👍🏼
LOL, I have had a few boats like that where you drop something on a quiet river and it sounds like you set off 20lbs of dynamite! LOL
Scooter is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣 Nice boat!
We agree!
Beautiful boat
Thank you very much!
Love your shirt ! Great video boat looks great!
Thanks so much!
The most expensive Jon boat in the history of Jon boats and I want one!
I wish I kept my Jon boat now. This is great!
Job well done bro 🤘😎
Yeah it wasn't cheap but it was worth it.
@@SendItJonBoats
I traded in for a 2021 starcraft freedom 180sc 90hp YAMAHA.
It nice
Your video is awesome and may help to keep my marriage! As my husband is Telling me what he's going to do with my tiny boat!
Thank you! I wanted more than plywood! Looking forward to watching it again.
lol your deck is so big dude you crack me up 😂
It is not the biggest deck, but it is an abnormally large deck for sure.
This guy must watch TB Nation's channel
I actually own TBnation Outdoors Southeast shop in Georgia... so yeah I watch TB nation sometimes lol
im late here, but when you said "i did it by hand"...scary movie popped up in my head. awesome job, thing looks amazing now!
Build looks great
Thank you.
Let’s go Scooter!!!!
Good work my friend
Lets go scooter, lets go brandon! LOL
All I have to say is AWSOME!!!! But I'm an old man and I need a seat with a cup holder for my beer 🍺. Keep up the good work and God bless 🙏
Seats and cup holder are coming soon, I am not done with this build yet
@@SendItJonBoats OK looking forward to it, let's go fishing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You did a great job. I'm going to use alot of these ideas.
great video
love the humor
one of my fav youtubers now 😂😂
Thank you Cody, glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate you watching.
Great Conversion on that Tracker. We did some similar work on our 17 whaler.
Awesome, thanks for checking out the video.
I love the scooter comments at the end. Great video and the boat looks great!
Thanks for checking out the video. Glad you enjoyed it.
Right off the bat your defensive and cocky! I like, keep up the vids!!!
LOL. Thanks, I don't let the haters and trolls dictate what I put in my videos. They can all go eat a bag of d#cks!
I can’t tell you how funny the “Pinecone through you pee hole” comment was. You kill me my dude
LOL, I say some random stuff sometime, and every now and then it is kinda funny
Slick Build!!
Thank you.
Awesome build
Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed it.
Fantastic build! You must have "Pop - eye" forearms after all those rivits. Love your t-shirt also!
LOL. I felt like Pop-eye after doing all them rivets by hand
You’re hilarious!! Great job man!
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video.
Hahaha... hell yeah I liked the disclaimer!!!
Got to give the haters and troll some love! LOL
May be my favorite channel on TH-cam, great video and good looking boat!
Glad you enjoy it! Many more fun projects to come soon!
Love it think I might have to do this to my rig
Awesome video man!! I’m doing a pos 1986 grunman. Thanks for the inspiration
Hell yeah man, aint no POS that cant be polished up to look like something decent.
Great build,you’re a funny scooter
So glad I watched to the end for the hatters corner. 😂. Nice vid.
Your jokes are brilliantly timed haha, good watch
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.
Great set-up
Thank you, much more to do in upcoming videos. Got to get it ready for bowfishing and catfishing.
That boat looks clean! Trying to do something like this! Thanks for the informative video
Thanks bud. glad you enjoyed the video.
@@SendItJonBoats Another question, this time about the floor. Is there a way to seal the floor so water doesn’t get under it and soak the foam?
@@jamesharper7459 you want water to get under the floor and drain to the back. The foam sheets are waterproof and will not soak up water.
@@SendItJonBoats thanks for the info! Don’t mind my dumbass questions. I don’t know shit about fuck really 🤣😂
Pretty slick man good build fun ideas
I thought it turned out great!
Simple and utilitarian....
Everything it needs....and nothing it don't!
Now we just need to see it.....SENT!
Thanks Robert. I like it so far.
Very nice work man! Awesome job! I like it!
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed the video!

Great channel. I love that you built your boat your way. Great help.

Thats what she said.
I'll be a skooter.. lol ok. Great video. I'm jealous. Love the boat
LOL, thanks for watching.
Your johnboat came out looking great 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
Bro! I would watch your video's just for the hater's corner at the end and the replies on the Scooter comments. That being said as a do it DIYer and a new boat enthusiast, I can truly dig this video (its my 1st of yours that I've watched) and I have definitely subscribed because I can dig a guy starting a project with a basic idea and a the basic (or a little more than basic) know how and showing us how he just figured it out along the way. Please keep'em coming bro.
Appreciate it! Im just an average guy that likes to build boats and show the progress along the way. Many more fun projects coming soon!
A lot of work done! But I like the result. I made a natural camouflage for the boat and garden furniture. It looks great too. Already posted the video.
Nice work! Thanks for watching.
