AL baby!!! spent many my summers down there with my grandparents for summer!!! my uncle left his boat down there and never used it for years and the same thing happened to his. this was till the age of twelve and always wanted to go out in it but he lived in indiana and was never gunna fix the boat filled with small trees :) woulda loved to fix up the boat and go out on Guntersville lake with it. grandparents had 100' dock out onto the lake. most amazing time of my life. wish we could all be children again! really enjoying this episode! hope the channel is a success!!!!! THANK YOU!
As a 10 year old i remember a snake crawling threw my Grampaws garage out back that was at least 4 in" in diameter threw all the spare pieces and equipment, tools and its slowly slithered threw the 30' garage but i could only see it passing through a foot of space between the section of stuff for at 10 seconds. i was so amazed by what i was seeing that after i watched it that i ran inside the house and told everyone and they didnt believe me but i was insistent and they went out and checked. this was prol 15 20 minutes later and they went out and searched the garage but never found it. im an avid snake lover. that was the biggest snake of my life. by dad had a 12' phython in the house when i was young. Defiance Ohio in the middle of winter it escaped and fire department found it wrapped around the axal of a semi! its in papers. still believe whatever i saw at my grampaws place was just as big if not larger!!! wow the memories or maybe the warped perspective of my childhood are great! thanks for the content!

Meanwhile at 25:40 the entire freakin trailer door breaks clean off as they drag a busted up sharp bottomed boat onto the clean wood on the trailer floor 😂. At one time my a stepson of mine had a boat very similar to yours. It was a MonArk as well. I loved that boat. After he was killed in an accident, I was hoping to buy the boat off of his wife, but she gave it to a guy she ended up marrying. It was like new, except of course it's color had faded some. It was a great boat, I hope yours is turns out fully restorable. New Modern Boats are of course nice, but I love the old classic boats more. Good luck. Love your channel.

This was GOLD! I'm goin thru the same thing. I have an old fiberglass Water Moccasin boat and an old aluminum boat I pulled out of the woods just like this. Im plan on restoring 1 or both and they both have their reasons why I shouldn't fix either. Lol I went thru the same things gettin the aluminum out of the woods. Jacking it up to get it above the hitch, truck sliding, trees and forage growing inside, flat tires... I can't wait to see what happens in this series. Best of luck to u tho Badge! Sometimes you can take old cylinders like from that fire extinguisher and make a bell out of them. Take the valve stuff off the top, then cut the bottom off and you got a bell!!! 👍👍

I’ve owned 17 or 18 boats in my life and that type of a project is going to cost you way more than the boat is worth in just parts and materials good chances are the hull is saturated with water and the mechanicals will all need to be replaced I’ve seen too many Free boats cost people over 20 thousand Dollars of repairs winding up being paid to be disposed of because I grew up and lived inSouth Florida for many years this is especially true for people that are not Fiberglass repair Knowledgeable I do however appreciate your excitement and have encountered similar feelings on boats I’ve acquired in the past as well , back in the day Monark built a decent boat but keep in mind there is usually a reason why someone abandoned the vessel so many years ago which generally is a it’s not worth putting the money in it then to keep using it as a boat
That sinking was awesome. Same thing happened to my Dad and I on a river at night. Thought we fixed all the leaks but a small one was slowly sinking us. I noticed water around my feet and the motor wouldn't start. Dad started bailing and I laid on the bow with an oar and rowed for our lives. We just pulled it to shore as the back went under. Fun times!!

Did you put a plug in it before launch. I remember you found the old plug on the floor of the boat when cleaning it out. When you pushed it off of the trailer, I was praying you had put a plug in it. Loved the video. That was a lot of work you put into that. Was hoping for the best for you

Had a similar size and style boat with a 302 Ford V8 in the late 70's. It would do over 55mph. Was beautiful.
