As fans, we are lucky to have them around through so many trends and changes within the music industry.

I remember reading an interview with their first album producer (Ritchie Wise, I think), and he highly praised Gene's musicianship. I like Paul here, he’s trying to give honest answers, Gene’s basically telling him to let him do all the talking, and Paul only says “go on”. But you can tell, you see it in his face, Paul’s like “whatever, needy baby greedy baby”.
Also look at Gene's face when Paul shuts him down more than once.
This is Paul's way of telling Gene to be professional in front of the camera.
I just watched a video of Paul & Gene from 1985. In the video, Paul's calls out Gene for being a story teller about the children he has claimed to have fathered. "People like to brag whether it's true or not...". It starts at 6:45. You can find it on You Tube under the title, "KISS - Asylum promo / Mark St. John etc [ UK television 85 ]".
It's interesting that this is an ongoing annoyance for Paul over Gene's baby claims.

Paul Stanley seems to be a genuine person and very sweet. Gene sucks. Paul didn't run Gene down in any way. He was honest about his own feelings. Gene has an image to keep up and that's fine. I think Gene's ego is crazy but I wonder if he is jealous of Paul. Paul seems to genuinely like meeting fans, being in love or lust and actual romantic thoughts. Paul Stanley is a human. He feels and he is very different. I think Paul is cool. Just be who you are.

I think they were pretty diplomatic about it. In reality they are too classy old school guys. I've been a fan for over 22 years and seen them perform twice these guys are professional. Yes Paul can be the peacemaker when it comes to business. Just like a Capricorn.

am I the only one who thinks Gene has a hilarious sense of humour ? he goes over the top and knows he's risking to look like a fool. it's like that early interview on the Douglas Show where he gets put into place by an elderly lady but he goes along with it just for entertainment. I think he enjoys being a demon and a fool at the same time, and he's intelligent enough to know he comes across like a clown sometimes
