very very neat idea, i have been looking for a similar solution!
That is such a cleaver solution to having a hangboard without the need to drill into your walls!!!

It's been 3 years, how has the hangboard weathered?
I don't have it anymore. It went ok for a while, but then I moved overseas and didn't take it with me.
