While I do not own this specific device, any and all HDMI switchers and splitters I have encountered so far are absolutely and uniquely one-way only. This is all digital electronic wizardry that, to some extent, is not appreciated much by the bloat of DRM/HDCP protection mechanisms, mind. That splitting is somewhat more complicated seems obvious when you look at good splitters that do the job well and don't burn your house down - they eat through your wallet instead.
Sounds like a great product 4 people that have both next gen consoles. I am curious is there is any slight downgrade 2 picture quality or input lag since your console is not plug directly into the tv.

What length cables did you use? They all say "do not exeed 3 meters in total" which my setup would need a bit more than that... Just curious if you were able to experiment with different cable lengths.
Does it let you send video to a TV (LG OLED) from a Apple TV 4K and then audio to a soundbar or receiver ? or does it not allow simultaneous HDMI outs at the same time
Really useful. Now, I just need to know if there's a way of chaining a couple of these switchers together if I have three input sources instead of two.

It’s the only affordable 2.1 switcher on the market, I’m happy that someone actually made something. Functionally is the thing until more comes to market
The bandwith of the PS5's hdmi port is only 32 Gbps so the video could not conclude on whether the switcher will support true 4K 120Hz with no chrom sub-sampling, i.e. 48 Gbps. Would be great if this is tested with an Xbox or PC instead.
Really wish there was a switch that is 1x2, so I could display PS5 on two separate displays (though not at the same time) rather than this one, which is two sources to one display. Have 2 displays with HDMI 2.1 in seperate rooms, would like to split/switch the signal rather than buy another PS5.

@@toontonic With a splitter you don’t have to have the game on both screens if you don’t want to. Just turn on the one you’re using. I’ve only seen them for 4K/60Hz I believe (could be 30Hz gross) but if you don’t want to duplicate the signal you could use a multiviewer or switch pip box. The only thing I’ve found since I do use one of those is that the only ones I could find are made for cable satellite and or TV movie content though they advertise use for games. Reason I mention this is because this causes latency. It allows you to have two sources and you can swap between them as well or do PIP split screen etc but it has a scaler not meant for gaming. I use one with a splitter so I can get my PIP capture while playing on my tv minus the lag. Edit: unless you’re thinking of an HDMI Selector.
I’m so lost on why this is needed? You asked in the beginning of the video to stop looking for TVs and try this, but you still need a tv that can handle 120hz refresh. Then the PS5 already has 120hz support. When you enable it, it’s like this adapter isn’t doing anything because both he tv and console can run at 120hz natively. But for this Xbox one, is it gonna overclock the Xbox or just simply run at a lower resultion than targeted?

What i want is an HDMI 2.1 switcher type box that will allow for 2 inputs at once. I want to be able to have 2 PCs hooked up, and change the resolution on both so one PC will be on the left side of the screen and one on the right side for games that dont have splitscreen so we can fake splitscreen with 2 PCs. Or even put the screen in a vertical orientation so we can have both PCs hooked up at once with both PCs showing the correct aspect ratio, one picture above the other. I want to be able to do 120hz with both PCs at the same time. Does something like that exist? I have a Samsung Q90A. Such an awesome TV! I have it on a stand that has wheels on it, allows me to adjust the height, and swivel it to horizonal or vertical!
Yes they have those. It’s an HDMI Multi-viewer or PIP box but I haven’t seen any made for gaming. They’re for movies and PC’s but not sure on the Hz going up to 120. They can switch signals on the fly and display both at the same time although audio is only from one source. I have one that I use for gaming but it adds latency since it’s made for movies and tv. It has split screen with stretched and correct aspect ratio options as well as pip.

I bought an LG monitor it is 1440p and 144hz but the ps5 does not support 1440p it does downscaling from 4k to 1440p wich means I can't get the 120hz because my monitor is hdmi 2.0 and not 2.1 does this device work on it?

While I do not own this specific device, any and all HDMI switchers and splitters I have encountered so far are absolutely and uniquely one-way only. This is all digital electronic wizardry that, to some extent, is not appreciated much by the bloat of DRM/HDCP protection mechanisms, mind.
That splitting is somewhat more complicated seems obvious when you look at good splitters that do the job well and don't burn your house down - they eat through your wallet instead.
Gamer here. Despite your preference of easy mode, I find it excruciatingly difficult to dislike you. Well done, GG!
Lol, thanks. Yeah I don’t game at all when I’m off camera even though i own 3 gaming consoles.

Don’t you still need to physically walk up to it to press the button? Unless you have the cable switcher visible… I’m thinking it going to look ugly in an entertainment space either way. Works great obviously but looks ugly. Should have a remote or an external switch
I have what i have
The LG C1 just updated so all of the ports are full bore now.
Yes, it’s not for you. Most other TVs don’t have that luxury
Really wish there was a switch that is 1x2, so I could display PS5 on two separate displays (though not at the same time) rather than this one, which is two sources to one display.
Have 2 displays with HDMI 2.1 in seperate rooms, would like to split/switch the signal rather than buy another PS5.
Those are called HDMI Splitters. Just look for one with the resolutions and Hz you’re looking for. They’re $15-$20 on Amazon. They also require power.
@@JMLRetroRoom sadly not for 4K 120hz, and I'm still looking for a switch too in this instance as I'm not attempting to display the same image on two displays at the same time.
Yeah I'm in the same exact situation.

Some TVs like my 120Hz Samsung QN85A only has 1 hdmi 2.1 gaming port, this allows you to share the input on 2 next gen consoles to play 120Hz games
