It’s very good. Although I only need it to split my Reolink Security system among three monitors, I think it does the job for everything else. I need one with three OUTPUTS. Your review is very complete. Thank you
My problem is that I have the same tv, but have a fire 4k max and ps5, plus a soundbar I want to use via hdmi, arc, but I usually have the ps5, and fire tv on at the same time and want the auto switch hdmi, without turning it off
Another benefit of these type of devices is that if you are using streaming sticks like Roku or Amazon you don’t have to plug the stick directly end of the TV. The weight of those sticks can eventually mess up the HDMI connection on the TV. By plugging your streaming sticks into these devices like you described here and then you just have one HDMI cable running to your TV. It is better for the health of your TV long-term.
typically anything that creates a lot of heat or has the potential to create heat typically goes on a cable. though with the apps on the tv it makes it a moot point to use a streaming device.. when in fact everything you will own will have access to streaming apps whether it be tv/pvr or console so the reality is you likely wasting money on a piece of tech that you don't need..
Thank you, you just saved me a lot of money. I didn't know the difference between a switcher and a splitter. I have that exact TV you have on your video. So now I know I have to buy a switcher to connect all my games, soundbar, and direct TV Thank you very much I appreciate it.

@@TechSteve Is it possible to provide a block diagram for Two TVs and one TV having a paired with a ARC Soundbar - with 4 total input possibilities? That is if the Soundbar has an Input that can be passed to the TV like Apple TV -> Soundbar -> Matrix (ARC In) -> TV (ARC Out) ? Is that feasible?

Hey Steve, thank you for the video. If my PC is one of the inputs and the outputs are connected to two separate projectors - will the PC recognize the 2 outputs as 2 individual display outputs?
So are all the Xbox ps4 amazon cube and google tv all 4K compatible with the tv after you put them into the switcher. Like the Xbox you had hooked up was 4K comparable
Where can I find this item, I went on amazon and it's available and not sure when it will be restocked. Did they stop making it? If this is the case, can you recommend another one that's on the same level (with arc)
All of this presupposes that you have a tv that has ARC in it. I need 2 outputs one to tv the other to a Samsung sound bar with ATMOS. And at least 2 inputs on for Roku one for firestick
What do you think about this 4K UHD switcher?
UHD 402 for 2 displays geni.us/NNtJ
UHD 401for 1 display geni.us/lY5meAt
Do you think this will work with a pc monitor and if so is there any latency

Hi I have a question. How can I used it with a Yamaha AV receiver? Thank you
Yes, it works with any HDMI signal.
Good video does this one support Dolby Atmos and Dts x?
Please use the links in the description to see more specs
Hi Steve, thanks for this. It seems like this would be a great device for me, but I just have one question. Does this support HDR as well? I know it supports 4K/60Hz but I was planning on using it for my PS5/Xbox One X in my setup
Yes
Hello my friend. What is the output resolution for both A and B when connected to the same source or even different sources? Thanks
Same, max 4k 60Hz
Thank you so much for your fast reply. Good product but I need something that scales down to 1080p in one output as I want to use my monitor's 4k capabilities while gaming but also my capture's card which only accepts 1080p! That's my problem! Thanks once again.
@@TechSteve Can it do 1 output 4K and the other at 1080p at the same time? Thanks
Nope it mirrors the lowest resolution
Steve is a tech god thanks sir for the diagram!
Lol, you're welcome
So the pass-through to the TV and soundbar will only work if the device has 2 ARC ports on it, right?
Do you know if this will work with Apple TV’s earc feature? I would love to use my new Apple TV to stream audio from my ps4 to my HomePod but my projector doesn’t support earc.
eARC is for Audio devices, Apple TV is a A/V device
@@TechSteve ah, there’s some sort of arc return feature on apple tv where it can stream to airplay if connected to an arc input
When I connected my new Samsung sound bar B550.. to this converter, there was no sound coming out of my DVD player which is also connected to this converter, can you please tell me why it does not work? Thanks
Well here is my non tech savvy question...I bought a 3 port switch. I have a Samsung TV with 2 ports (1 arc), a Samsung sound bar with 1arc and 1 regular. The problem is the connection to the arris cable box from spectrum. It doesn't seem to read it. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Great video! This product doesn't solve all of my problems.I'm looking for this exact same type of product, but I need 8 hdmi inputs for 1 tv instead of just 4. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Super informative!! Thank you!
I see you mentioned it supports Dolby True HD. I have a Dolby Digital 5.1 Home Theater. Will the switcher support Dolby Digital 5.1 sound output?
Pass thru, yes
@@TechSteve Thanks Steve, Much Appreciated.
Hey Steve, thank you for the video. If my PC is one of the inputs and the outputs are connected to two separate projectors - will the PC recognize the 2 outputs as 2 individual display outputs?
If I want to use a projector (or tv) WITHOUT ARC, will the switcher send audio to my HDMI home theater (or sound bar)?
So are all the Xbox ps4 amazon cube and google tv all 4K compatible with the tv after you put them into the switcher. Like the Xbox you had hooked up was 4K comparable
Yes up to 60Hz
Where can I find this item, I went on amazon and it's available and not sure when it will be restocked. Did they stop making it? If this is the case, can you recommend another one that's on the same level (with arc)
will this work with the Samsung one connect box? if yes, which of the hdmi ports does it need to be connected to?
I don’t own a TV with the connect box, but as long as it has HDMI I don’t see why not
Is there an hdmi switch that can work with the controller that came with the tv to select an hdmi output? Thanks.
No that i know of
All of this presupposes that you have a tv that has ARC in it. I need 2 outputs one to tv the other to a Samsung sound bar with ATMOS. And at least 2 inputs on for Roku one for firestick
