      Sun sometimes breaks through in seconds. the only thing that I would have done differently is created an effect when she starts to hand him the lightsaber to look like it was cloudy and then the sun broke through just as she handed it to him, since the lighting is completely different in both scenes. It would have appeared that the clouds cleared in the sun came out as she handed it to him, which would have been kind of cool symbolically

      I noticed it the first time I saw it, I had watched my DVD of the force awakens many times, and that last scene was so touching. I definitely noticed instead of Rey's wide-eyed hopefulness we saw her squinting in the sunlight and both of them looking haggard due to the harsh lighting.
      It's nearly always cloudy in the Irish sea, but if they couldn't reschedule the shoot it would have been very easy to put up large light fusing tapestries to diffuse the light or even block it completely to allow the indirect lighting and diffused lighting look closer to it was at the end of force awakens. The backgrounds could have been fixed in post-production with CGI.

And Luke went through nothing compared to Obi Wan. Obi wan lost thousands of Jedi and had to burn and chop off the limbs of his apprentice and friend. All Luke had to go through was his apprentice having a bad dream and the death of half a dozen Padawans. Imagine what would have happened if Obi wan was as grumpy as Luke in this scene.

      @@pout6038 Luke at the end of TFA is wearing his Jedi robes and is visibly crying when he sees Rey with his father's lightsaber. We don't know why he's there, it could be to hide or maybe he's training and studying the ancient Jedi texts to prepare himself, but either way he looks very emotional. It's as if he knows who Rey is and what happened to his best friend Han. Then we cut to TLJ, where he is absolutely apathetic and emotionless. He doesn't know who she is and doesn't care. He doesn't ever care how she got his father's lightsaber that he lost 30+ years ago. He just smirks, tosses it off a cliff and storms off to change out of his Jedi robes and into a hobo outfit. Not to mention how it goes from being completely overcast and cloudy to bright and sunny in one second. These two scenes do NOT go together at all. Johnson messed up royally.

    • @MrMoleHole
      @MrMoleHole 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@KevyNova First of all Luke never smirked in this scene, secondly he doesn't care about the lightsaber and why would he? He isolates himself from his friends and the galaxy for a reason. He messed up and he blames himself. That lightsaber for Luke represents everything he has grown to despise about himself. Rey is treating him like the legendary Luke Skywalker while passing his old lightsaber to him, which reminds Luke of his over confidence in his status in thinking he could create a new and perfect Jedi order only to have it all destroyed because of his mistakes. Don't blame Rian Johnson for coming up with a compelling reason for why Luke went to Ahch To . If anyone messed up royally, it's JJ Abrams.

      The Last Jedi took the right choices, Is a known fact, how Lucas liked it, and was very disappointed on The Force Awakens. Hating the planets and characters being copy pasted from the ones in A New Hope, yet with none of the internal logic. For example it ignores the sacrifices of Rogue One, and Return of the Jedi´s Bothan spies. Because the Starkiller Base is destroyed without any kind of stolen plans. So that´s breaking the rules of Star Wars.
      From my point of view, the only inconsistent films are the pair of films directed and written by JJ Abrams. the actors and VFX are good, but Abrams did the worst directing and worst writing in Star Wars. I would not had cared about The Force Awakens or Rise of Skywalker, either.

Maybe it was my expectations idk but to me that was not luke. Im glad others enjoyed the movie but I genuinely disliked it very much and i wish i could enjoy it like the others but idk when i walked out of the theater after the movie i just thought “they took luke in this direction and just killed him off in the most un-honorary way”. This is just my opinion and i envy those those who enjoyed it because i wished i did but the last jedi left a sour taste for me. And as for the rise of skywalker i barley enjoyed it any better. Luke still could have been a distraught master that failed apprentices but been part of the Rebels. They could've continued having a stronger story about balancing the force. Rian Johnson totally screwed up the storyline of what could have been an excellent third part of the saga. I worried when I read he was hired to direct TLJ, because I had seen LOOPER and was not at all engaged by the story or characters. Rather than taking the baton from J.J. Abrams and running with it, he threw it away as Luke did the light saber.

    I want someone to do this with either male or female walking up that mountain with a script instead of a lightsaber and the figure we see in Lukes place is George Lucas… as he turns around the subject gives him the script… the real story for his sequel trilogy…. As if the fans realize it was a mistake selling his franchise to Disney.

    It;'s almost like a Rogue One to A New Hope edit. This is copyright, and TH-cam does not allow any of this whatsoever
