Ps4 pro is a console I hold dear to my heart. I loved upgrading from my launch PS4 to my launch PS4 pro. Even though I never played 4k till ps5! I'd like a death stranding model for my collection. Pretty sure I also have that model since I don't have the older PC power plug the first two models seem to have (don't remember mine having that at all), we bought ours second hand from a guy nearby who I'm now friends with lol.

Hello there. Over here in Australia i have a ps4 pro CUH 7202b. Im struggling to find any info about it and im trying to find a replacement power supply. Would any of the 7200 models work with my console?
Yes you have basically a 7200 or a 7215
7215 in US and Canada = 7200 series = 7202

I hope someone sees this so I’ve cleaned my ps4s fan heatsink and replaced the thermal paste and it’s still loud and overheats on me can I have a fix I have the Cuh-1115A model.
Check the tightness on the heatsink clamp.
Do that and also make sure your PS4 is not to close to a wall and able to get as much cool air as possible.
Also, Newer Game push the Base Model PS4 to it's limit so some Nosie levels can't be avoided.

I have a serious question no one can give me a answer. So when I put a new disc in to install, it only copies and downloads the update file it never installs game, I get no errors either
Most likely because you didn't install your old drive's logic board into the new drive or the ribbon cable that connects the mainboard to the disc drive logic board is not connected.
Hi since you know so much about consoles I wanted to know if the disc box has something to do with updates, I have Xbox
If you do not have a matching disc drive logic board (the one that came with your motherboard) your Xbox will not run apps, games and in some cases might not update.

If you can you should buy the last 7200 or 7215 (USA) model if you can but it shouldn’t make a big difference. The newer systems run cooler due to a smaller cpu die.

It will not fit without rewiring the PSU
You can technically install a 2 pin port. Maybe Ill do a video on it one day
@@fasttechvideo would be actually interesting to know if it works especially for people who have the older model and just wanna making the ps 4 a little bit better. They stopped ps 4 pro manufacturing I believe 2 years ago and maybe in the future we have even less of those consoles the only thing you can do for the old model is to buy a nidec fan and replace paste and thermal pads.
my ps 4 pro is still working after 7 years even though I have a ps 5 the bigger power port is the only complaint I have with my pro.

Hello when I turn my ps4 on the fan goes max speed then says too hot and then turns of.. I checked the fan cleaned it and it spins smoothly, and I checked the heatsink and its fine, but I didn't have this issue before I took the console apart. Any help?

No performance difference in terms of game performance or FPS but the 7200 does run cooler due to a smaller nm APU

No you shouldn't have to update your PS4 Pro for it to work.
Sorry I'm 2 years late on seeing this. You need the chip off the old disk drive. It's the one the ribbon cable, held down by 2 small screws. This chip is mated to your motherboard. Without it? It will not read. I replaced like 5 disk drives in PS4s/PS3s.
Idk if anyone would read this but, i got a gen 1 ps4 pro and from the seller says that the loud fan issues will always be present in this gen version, is that true?
Not true if you keep the heat sink inside clean and replace the paste.

The 7215b model is the best one very quiet, also after one year I opened mine up replaced thermal paste on cpu and ran even better, I later added a 2tb ssd samsung Evo. I'll just say it was worth it.

I bought a ps4 pro cuh-7015b that was overheating for dirt cheap like 70$ a few years ago i cleaned it and repasted it with better thermal paste and been cool and running perfect since. Wish i nevef updated tho

can someone explain to me how i changed the thermal paste and fan of my PS4 in late March 2020 and in mid August my PS4 sounds like a jet engine tried playing the battlefield 1 campaign two days ago and it was on par with missiles from my tanks
