What’s your recommendation if your fender is already painted but your needing to do bondo work on certain areas? I’ve already sanded off the areas to metal that needed work but they are scattered about making it hard to only paint and prime those areas and blend. Should I sand the whole fender to metal or could I get by with sanding 80/160 and spraying primer/paint over that?

You don't need to sand the whole fender to metal even small areas that need filler can be prepared with 80. Once bodywork is done it should be at least a 180 scratch to primer over I perfer primer over a 320 scratch. The rest of the fender can be sanded with 320 or 600 before primer and then sanded with 600 before paint hope this helps . Appreciate the support!

Do you need to sand it after the clear coat to polish it?

Wet sand yes, if you have imperfections you want to remove. 2000 grit then 3000 and buff. Check out my channel I have several videos on polishing. Thanks for watching

Ebay aftermarket fender for my Corolla says PRIMED. Do they really rust if I don't have it painted right away ? If so how long can I wait until I have the whole car painted ? doesn't make sense to paint fender then have car painted waste of money. I just want the fender installed right now until I can afford a paint job what do yall think? Can I just order and have it installed ?

Yeah you can just have it installed. It will rust ,primer is not designed to bake in the sun. It will probly just be surface rust. Then when you get it painted it may take some additional prep work to get it ready for paint. It would take a long time for rust to ruin the fender

The gloss finish is in the paint? Do you have to wet sand after you paint it? I'm sorry. I'm trying to learn

The clear coat gives it the gloss. You don't have to wet sand and buff clear. You can tho to remove imperfections. Thank's for watching and supporting the channel!

My paint jobs like this never come out nice. Orange peel, and tiger stripes, etc. Is there a way to sand or smooth out the base coat before clear coating? The clear coat only highlights the many flaws my rubbish paint job has.

Not without applying more base. Check out my other videos on how to spray clear to avoid orange peel. There's a few things that cause Tiger stipes. 1. Paint gun not spaying properly 2 not overlapping 70% on you passes. Those are the two main causes.
