    When you give clear coat on other panels and doors not been damaged to blend in you have to to use 600 sand paper or not.
    Thank you

    Excellent work!, how smoothly you apply clear coat, how much quantity of thinner you add to the clear ?
    Is it necessary to use pressure regulator with the gun since the gun itself has a pressure control device ?

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't reduce clearcoat, some guys do my thoughts are it may hurt the durability of the clear and the only reason I see to reduce it would be to get a flatter finish. As far as the regulator I like to have control at the gun but it's not needed, just a personal preference. Thank's for watching, I appreciate the support!

    • @GarageNoise

      I have three of the harbor freight digital regulators. They work well. Their inexpensive ,I think under 20 bucks. I have a 3m regulator that works well. it's a bit more but not too bad. I just changed the regulator and that fixed my issue.

    That really looks like Chrysler’s Inferno Red, which at one point, circa 2005-2006, it was a tri-color, with a salmon base coat and a tinted clear with red in it before the clear coat proper. While spraying it seems like exactly that was happening. Your first color coats were salmon compared to red. You didn’t mention any other tint changes, so how did it end up getting darker and richer ?

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In some paint brands this is tri coat but I was able to find one that was not. It looks copper because it is so transparent an the sealer made it look copper. Appreciate the comment and support!

    I'm getting ready to do a pearl white blend tri color got any suggestions for me

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do a spray out to decide how many coats of pearl. Shouldn't need any more than 3. Most of them only need one to 2. Make sure you cover your base with the midcoat pearl don't be afraid to blend out that midcoat pearl even if your close to adjacent panel a little pearl near the adjacent panel won't change the color much. Sunday's video Is a Infiniti pearl white. Hope this helps . It shouldn't be tough pearl with is not that difficult if you have a good matching base. Hope this helps !

    Nice video... 1) Is the wet bed "binder" actually just a transparent basecoat, a "clear" basecoat or is it a different material? 2) Any good online source to buy paint to match your car, like let's say that I send them a gas cap door for them to match the color the best they can?

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wet bet is binder with no color or (pigment ). I don't have any online sources for paint. I would use my local paint store for that.

    • @PINTURA-uu2bz
      @PINTURA-uu2bz ปีที่แล้ว

      I make a mistake so I repaint the next day.
      I use blender again and paint it
      When I was waiting for the second coat of paint, I can see some spots like dry skin.
      so back to step one I sand it again all the way to the original pain , this time only in very small spot look like I miss sanding the small area. my question is what can be happen? I KNOW what happen now is a chemical reaction but for what?
      blender so many times or I did not wait enough?
      how long I have to wait if I want to repair something like this?

    • @GarageNoise
      @GarageNoise  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PINTURA-uu2bz somtimes if you put the paint on too heavy on the first coat you can get a chemical reaction. What's happining is tho solvents are reacting to the substrate. A sealer before base would help as well.

      I haven't watched that video in awhile. It's been a bit since I repaired it. I can start adding a price break down in my video's, cause I've had some questions on how I price jobs.I think it was at least $1,500. I use software to write my estimates.

    Even the pros get fisheyes and crap in the paint. The difference between a pro and a diy er is that the pro knows how to recover quickly from the booboos, and the diy person makes the situation worse....lol. So how about some videos with tips and tricks to recover from fisheyes and dirt and shrink back. Also how to minimize the chances that those things won't happen. Sometimes I feel like no matter how clean and diligent I am, I just can't avoid fisheyes. Why can't they make car paint like rustoleum... You can paint a turd with that stuff and it'll stick.

    • @GarageNoise
