Thanks for the sub! Now that I’ve finally gotten the hardest moon in the run, I’m going to do one last sweep for moons and then begin development on the second video! Can’t wait!
You would still need to get 3 more moons in place of those three in order to leave the kingdom. And there would be only 7 moons to get in captures available in morning metro, since the bunny moon isn’t unlocked until you get peace. So in actuality, that would end up adding a mario moon to the counter. I wish that idea worked but sadly it’s of no use in this run. But thanks for trying!
This idea has come up multiple times but we’ve decided that even if it would save a mario moon in cascade, since the multi moon is automatically given to mario at the end of the game anyway, we’d actually end up with even more mario moons than if we just did cascade the normal way
He found out how to get it the day after I uploaded this haha. But luckily it’s only possible on 1.0, and I did this run on 1.3. So 27 is still the lowest number on the latest version.
In cascade u can get the multimoon with a chainchomp on 1.0 its called a chainlink glitch or something where u manipulate 2 chain chomps and 1 goes slowly flying, then u fight the boss in 1-2 minutes, when the chain chomp reaches the arena CAPTURE AND JUMP. (Jump as a chainchomp with A) Watch lycels video
Couldn't u technically safe one moon in cascade by doing the min caps route, therefore skipping the boss, then collecting the 2D and island moon normally but collecting the moon in the cage next to the 3 chain chomps with the trex or is that impossible?
When we were theorizing that idea actually came up. If we could manage to get the chest moon, and the moon you’re referring to with the T-rex, then that would save one mario moon. Since we’d only be grabbing the 2D moon and the island one with mario. But no one is sure if those are actually possible to get haha. If those are proven though, you’re right and the mario moon count for 1.3 would drop down to 26!
@@Dosle22 that is correct actually, cuz you can do a crc or do the cappy on top of island strat in 1.3 and I’ve obtained the rest in 1.3 so it can save a Mario moon
If you’ve gotten both the chest moon, and the moon behind the breakable rock with a T-Rex, then it does in fact save a mario moon. If you got them, make sure to send the clips so we have definitive proof that they’re possible.

Buying extra moons typically isn’t allowed in challenge runs, but also, we would be buying the moons as Mario, so it definitely wouldn’t be allowed in this run haha

i had hundreds of hours of footage of the full run but condensed all the cool stuff into these 3 vids so i wouldn’t have to upload all that lol. and i deleted all the footage after finishing the trilogy

Now right before the bill spins for a second time, you want to let go of Y, but keep shaking the controller. The letters aren’t unlocked until after you beat the game. So we can get those moons in the post game, but sadly we can’t on our first visit
