For instance, I chose current flowing from node 2 towards node 0, which is opposite from source with 14 amps so I20=-14 amps. I20 is current flowing from node 2 to node 0. If I chose current as flowing from node 0 into node 2, then I02=+14 amps. I02 is current flowing from node 0 to node 2. Hope this helps.
