  • Supernode Analysis is discussed in this lecture.
    When a voltage source is connected between two non-reference nodes then it is called supernode.
    In Supernode Analysis we identify the supernode and apply KVL and KCL to find the node voltages.
    Solved examples of supernode Analysis are discussed in this lecture video.

    For the 3rd example; why didn’t you have the currents flowing through the 3 Ohm resistor and 6 Ohm resistor into the second super node; because initially you made the currents flow outta the first supernode ( V2 -V1)/ 6; meaning the current was flowing from v2 to v3 out of the first supernode and going into the 2nd supernode. Likewise, at supernode 1, you had the current flowing from V1 to V4 across the 3 Ohm resistor; but doing the KCL for supernode 2; you did it the other way round. Can you explain this ?

    Why we are not considering 10 ohm resistance

    • @KishoreKashyap
      @KishoreKashyap  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because 10 ohm resistance is connecting the two nodes of a supernode, so no need to consider the current through 10 ohm resistor while writing the KCL for that supernode.

      If resistor is connected between two supernodes without a common node then we have to consider the current through resistor in both KCL.
      If resistor is connected between two supernodes with a common node then we don't need to consider current through that resistor.
