I’ve got a 383 in my C20 that you built it is a great engine, the level of detail that went into it is impressive. Never had a lick of trouble, and it’s got great power. My hats off to you guys, Thank You.
Thank you, Mr. ED for giving us a piece of you're Decades of trial and error knowledge. Its priceless to A 52-year-old engine novelist since I was 16 thank you sir.
Barry ------ just want to wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you ------ I see Matt at " IRON TRAP GARAGE " just found a '41 Lincoln Zephyr convertible that he drug back to his shop ---- looks to be a pretty solid car with the original running gear ------- Anyway ----- wishing you the Best for the Holidays and again Thank for the video's you bring us ------- Rodney
Rodney! Thank you so very much! Merry Christmas to you as well! I saw the thumbnail for that episode and haven’t watched it yet…. Should be interesting! They are not common to find, even the 41 which isn’t quite as sought after as the 37-39’s… Anyway, it’s people like you that make the creation of these videos, so enjoyable… Happy new year and I’m sure we will talk again soon
Barry,I’m running out of compliments for Ed and Alan lol. Barry when you see these guys do you tell them how much we appreciate them for allowing you to share their knowledge? And for allowing you to keep a camera shoved in their face? LoL
Wish I could mentor under you or David vizard iv done a little bit of machinist work but I would love to be able to do my own engines and get the extra knowledge that you guys have love your channel and appreciate all the knowledge you share.
Hey can you take a 350 sbc 010 block and cut out the cylinders and put in new performance cylinders and i want a bore of 4.100 or 4.095 or 4.080" or whatever shall work with the new cylinders that fit. I know you cannot bore a 350's stock cylinders beyond 4.060 if even that much in a lasting engine. So can you do this thing? i am then intend to use a 4' crank and hopefully make the magic number 421 c.i. out of an originally 350 c.i. 😃
Barry, Help ! I have a 454 V-8 and I bored it 40 over, what size is the engine now ? Thanks in Advance. (I'm not a machinist, just an old school mechanic).

I could tell that was his grandson even before he said so.
Looks like a heavy first cut.
He showed centering the bore but never showed alignment of bore to boring bar
I must have missed that when doing the video. Will try to do an update soon. Thanks
People have legitimate concerns about lost tribal knowledge. Their fears should be laid to rest. The young buck will learn plenty.

We are addressing your question in an upcoming Q&A episode…

I’ll ask Ed 👍
Where’s your torque plate
He doesn’t always use them, depends on the assignment, the budget, and the block as far as I understand it
I am seriously bored watching this video.
🤣🤣
Pardon the joke, but should I yawn about this 'boring' job? BTW, it's really cool watching how this is done. 👩🦳
I almost did something like that with the Title! 👍😂
