Now they're started to put games out digital a month earlier than physical for many. Hey I been playing XIV for a decade now and the more gamers join that world the better it is for the game overall. It's an MMO after all, so the more the marrier. That game and its story needs to be experienced by anyone who calls them a FF fan. I will say though, any bot who tries to overblow this and try to make it seem like somehow its a loss for ps or the ponies, I am gonna need an explanation as to why that is and I better see them in XIV. I'll be waiting lol. Hell I'll even carry them through the game all the way up to 6.5 if they want. But if they gonna talk about it like its some loss to the ponies, then I expect them to be playing the game.

It was back when MS cared about their console and not just services. They told SE that if they were to have XIV on their platform that they would need to be in their own private server in a walled off garden separate from ps/pc. There is little incentive for 3rd party studios to make games for Xbox. When you see a studio together with Phil letting you know that and old game will finally support Xbox, you know damn sure MS is paying alot of money for it. Sony will partner up or pay for 3rd party exclusives while MS has to pay just to support their platform.... I love Xbox ecosystem but I completely agree, I don't know why Microsoft decided to change the memory amount from 16Gb to 10Gb. Even tho it's a 720p-1440p machine. Games nowadays require much more Vram than 2019-2020. Charge $300 and take the hit for long term.

These devs drop last gen and do not support the Switch because of hardware limitations so drop the Series S. Just like how they do PC specs because not every PC can run every game. Just put "Only compatible with Xbox Series X" on the cover.

Where have these people been? Like you said Octopath Traveler is on Xbox and went to gamepass. It’s still not on PlayStation. Did people go crazy over that game and make up fan fictions about Sony losing Square Enix? So dumb. FF14 was officially announced for Xbox in back in 2019! Blame MS for why it took so long. This has nothing to with Sony paying anything or losing their relationship with Square Enix. Nothing is going to change. SE will continue putting their smaller games on Xbox and the big games will be on PlayStation with possible exclusivity. These contracts with Sony are already signed I believe. That’s why the president said “whenever possible” about bringing more games to Xbox. 1- Sony has deals with a lot of those games.... 2- SE games don’t sell on Xbox anyway so it depends if SE wants to port them and how much MS is willing to pay. Now they're started to put games out digital a month earlier than physical for many. Alan Wake 2 will be an exception since I've waited 13 years for it, but it passes me off they're not putting it out on disc. Especially after just putting the remaster of the first on disc.

Hey I been playing XIV for a decade now and the more gamers join that world the better it is for the game overall. It's an MMO after all, so the more the marrier. That game and its story needs to be experienced by anyone who calls them a FF fan.
I will say though, any bot who tries to overblow this and try to make it seem like somehow its a loss for ps or the ponies, I am gonna need an explanation as to why that is and I better see them in XIV.

The game officially released in 2013, that way before their Xbox is pc and ox is Xbox initiative. It was back when MS cared about their console and not just services.
They wanted nothing to do with PS because they still saw them as competition and didn’t want to engage with them in any cross play fashion.
They told SE that if they were to have XIV on their platform that they would need to be in their own private server in a walled off garden separate from ps/pc.

There is little incentive for 3rd party studios to make games for Xbox. When you see a studio together with Phil letting you know that and old game will finally support Xbox, you know damn sure MS is paying alot of money for it. Sony will partner up or pay for 3rd party exclusives while MS has to pay just to support their platform.... Which is probably why they want to purchase studios/publishers with popular IPs

I love Xbox ecosystem but I completely agree, I don't know why Microsoft decided to change the memory amount from 16Gb to 10Gb. Even tho it's a 720p-1440p machine. Games nowadays require much more Vram than 2019-2020. Charge $300 and take the hit for long term.

Square Enix games are already on Xbox. A lot of them. Where have these people been? Like you said Octopath Traveler is on Xbox and went to gamepass. It’s still not on PlayStation. Did people go crazy over that game and make up fan fictions about Sony losing Square Enix? So dumb. FF14 was officially announced for Xbox in back in 2019! Blame MS for why it took so long. This has nothing to with Sony paying anything or losing their relationship with Square Enix.
Nothing is going to change. SE will continue putting their smaller games on Xbox and the big games will be on PlayStation with possible exclusivity. These contracts with Sony are already signed I believe. That’s why the president said “whenever possible” about bringing more games to Xbox.

2- SE games don’t sell on Xbox anyway so it depends if SE wants to port them and how much MS is willing to pay.
