If we’re talking media bias look no further than Metacritic and how they didn’t count all the critic scores for Xbox games. Starfield has 90 critic reviews and games that just came out have 130. If you scroll down you can see dozens of reviews that say TBD. Go take a look at what they’re saying mostly negative reviews. Starfield would definitely be in the 70s!
U know what's crazy. FF16 was more criticize than starfield. Wasn't gamers making fun of FF16 cause it couldn't hit 60 fps consistently but when starfield only hits 30 fps on xbox and major frame rate drop on PC all was forgiven
That's not really an accurate retelling of events. Most people were just upset with FF16 not being more of an RPG because the game is created off of the back of series that was a pure RPG originally. Most people agree the FF16 was/is a great game. The thing about people trashing the perormance is that they had a "perofrmance mode" and the performance didn't run well. Starfield has been marketed as a 30fps game on consoles since before the release of the game. There is a difference. But I don't blame you or anyone else equally upset with the performance of Starfield. I'm just saying there is a difference, whatever the difference is worth, with peace and love.

I don't think you are very familiar with the Series X because it surely has new feautres, and has just as many new aspects to the console as the ps5. I don't see how either the series X or PS5 could have been reviewed/ recieved any bettter from each other. I will say the ps5 controller is undoubtly way more inventitive and much different compared to the very minor tweaks of the series x controller from past versions.

Please do a video of all the positive Xbox coverage, they have been handled so positively by the media for most of this gen, even before the gen started in fact I was surprised out how much better they thought Xbox was gonna do then PlayStation they were very wrong. The Xbox Tax has been the most hilarious bit of cope. Literally their games rated incredibly highly 360 gen. Problem is their franchises stagnated and got worse. Playstation was eviscerated by the media, public, and developers during the early half of Playstation 3. No one claimed media bias because it deserved the flak. And they course corrected during that same generation, creating sacred cow franchises like Uncharted and Last of Us. Xbox WAS dying but will make a comeback. Sony's linear movie games are not impressive to me in terms of gameplay depth. MS first party titles have seen drop in quality but that is because sony did very well in the ps4 era and riding on previous gen sucess. Please look at the bugs for spiderman 2. Its an average game that has annoying woke nonsense minigames and side quests. This King Thrash guy is obviously a fan of what I call "normie" franchises that are popular rather than those deep games that don't rely on graphics to see you on the game. We ALL agree in the gaming community that what innovations are happening in the indie scene is more exciting than anything going on in the triple A gaming sphere. Having better graphics as a result of graphics cards being better is not enough to get us non-biased gamers excited. You got to have depth in the gameplay to make us piss our pants with excitement. Games like Baldurs Gate 3 (a genre which appeals to nerds not normies buying call of duty every year or the latest EA sports title yearly) are 10 times more relevabt to advancing the craft of gaming than ....spiderman 2. A game with play mechanics no better than older spiderman titles from before. You can tell who are real gamers by how good they are at criticism of bad games. The fake gamers are always obsessing about what platform a game is on. These guys support hardware manufacturers like fans if sports support thier local football team. They show they are fans if corporate entities more than well-crafted games. Xbox brand is slowly becoming more appealing with Phil Spencer in charge. The Don Matrick guy left him a mess to clean up. But MS is stepping in the right direction especially thier idras to support backward compatibility. That is one if the main reasons I bought an X box One recebtly to play old 360 games in higher specs like the way you can play old pc titles at higher framerates on new pc. It might not matter to you guys but older games were OBJECTIVELY BETTER DESUGNED than the newer sequels. There were other devs that weren't as outspoken, but had issues with the architecture regardless. Wasn't just media. That's why PS3 often got late ports if not time exclusive. Even Japanese titles. Then players were disappointed because it came a year late, a follow up to the greatest selling home console, had inferior and outdated network (later getting a near month long outage due to hack) and their franchises took awhile to get cooking. The hype came from it being the immediate successor to the PS2, console royalty and greatest selling video game hardware. Ps3 is comparatively a flop because it 87m vs 158m. It was Playstation worst selling home console. And my feelings about Xbox one games? Look at the critic averages of X1 vs Playstation 4. Then look at 360's vs PS3. Critic disparity was much smaller between their larger franchises. That's not my feelings alone. And franchises stagnation was mentioned by critics and seemingly validated by sales. If they were that good, they would have come back. Their marketing blunders were primarily when early year or so. Their impact throughout the generation is grossly overstated. No one is revising history except individuals screaming "Xbox Tax" and omitting numerous details of 7th generation.

If you scroll down you can see dozens of reviews that say TBD. Go take a look at what they’re saying mostly negative reviews. Starfield would definitely be in the 70s!

That's not really an accurate retelling of events. Most people were just upset with FF16 not being more of an RPG because the game is created off of the back of series that was a pure RPG originally. Starfield has been marketed as a 30fps game on consoles since before the release of the game. There is a difference. Please do a video of all the positive Xbox coverage, they have been handled so positively by the media for most of this gen, even before the gen started in fact I was surprised out how much better they thought Xbox was gonna do then PlayStation they were very wrong. Now Xbox gamers want to lie to themselves and say these poor games should be treated better just so they can justify buying a trash console. They even act like Hifi rush is the pinnacle of gaming but none of them finished it.
The Xbox Tax has been the most hilarious bit of cope. Literally their games rated incredibly highly 360 gen. Problem is their franchises stagnated and got worse. Playstation was eviscerated by the media, public, and developers during the early half of Playstation 3. No one claimed media bias because it deserved the flak. And they course corrected during that same generation, creating sacred cow franchises like Uncharted and Last of Us. One that gave birth to television series that is competing against current TV excellence.
Definitely Nintendo had media bias against them when It came to Switch because of the failure of the Wii U. I definitely believe Nintendo have legacy bias for it. But hey, they continue to execute their beloved formula with excellence to their beloved franchises.
PS: Nintendo doesn't really drop prices of their games no matter what. Even their lower software selling generations like GameCube and Wii U had stagnated prices. Just their prerogative is for profit. And it grooms their customers not to wait for price drops.

Xbox WAS dying but will make a comeback. Sony's linear movie games are not impressive to me in terms of gameplay depth. MS first party titles have seen drop in quality but that is because sony did very well in the ps4 era and riding on previous gen sucess. Please look at the bugs for spiderman 2. Its an average game that has annoying woke nonsense minigames and side quests. This King Thrash guy is obviously a fan of what I call "normie" franchises that are popular rather than those deep games that don't rely on graphics to see you on the game. We ALL agree in the gaming community that what innovations are happening in the indie scene is more exciting than anything going on in the triple A gaming sphere. Having better graphics as a result of graphics cards being better is not enough to get us non-biased gamers excited. You got to have depth in the gameplay to make us piss our pants with excitement. Games like Baldurs Gate 3 (a genre which appeals to nerds not normies buying call of duty every year or the latest EA sports title yearly) are 10 times more relevabt to advancing the craft of gaming than ....spiderman 2. A game with play mechanics no better than older spiderman titles from before.
You can tell who are real gamers by how good they are at criticism of bad games. The fake gamers are always obsessing about what platform a game is on. These guys support hardware manufacturers like fans if sports support thier local football team. They show they are fans if corporate entities more than well-crafted games.
Xbox brand is slowly becoming more appealing with Phil Spencer in charge. The Don Matrick guy left him a mess to clean up. But MS is stepping in the right direction especially thier idras to support backward compatibility. That is one if the main reasons I bought an X box One recebtly to play old 360 games in higher specs like the way you can play old pc titles at higher framerates on new pc. It might not matter to you guys but older games were OBJECTIVELY BETTER DESUGNED than the newer sequels. (Saints Row is a textbook example of that because the first 2 titles were great GTA clones of thier time compared to the new renake aimed at pandering to hipsters)
This may make me sound agist but I believer boomers and generation X just have more "fun" so this could be a generational thing where younger people's humor just isn't appealing to us old timers so we don't buy games which are about kids who we can't identify with.

It got worse after Mattrick as showcased through sales, critic score, and mass appeal. Spencer generations are essentially X1 and Series and you see where the are. Selling worse than 360.
And it's funny to blame PS5 success entirely on PS4. Why didn't PS3 succeed. It's coming off not only Best selling Playstation, it's coming off the best selling Video game device of all time. And those high selling "movie games " that Xbox cant beat... originated on PS3.

@@TheHatsuma Reminder that the only reason the PS3 flopped, at the start, was the massive price and the fact that it had no games, by comparison. It was massively hyped and you even had people separating themselves by the consoles they bought. Namely PSWii and Wii60. It saw success only after it dropped in price and had actual decent first party games start releasing.
It's awful funny how many people on all sides of the aisle are rewriting history to support their side when we all know the reason the PS4 sold better than the Xbox One was because they wanted the Xbox to be an entire entertainment center and wanted to limit game sharing, at first. Your opinion on the exclusives mean absolutely nothing when you look at the actual facts of the situation-- PS3 vs 360 was because sony sucked at their marketing. PS4 vs XBone was because microsoft sucked at their marketing. Neither did anything noteworthy marketing the PS5 or the Series S/X and people merely upgraded.

There are articles that Gabe Newell and Kotick eviscerated the PS3 architecture. There were other devs that weren't as outspoken, but had issues with the architecture regardless. Wasn't just media. That's why PS3 often got late ports if not time exclusive. Even Japanese titles.
Then players were disappointed because it came a year late, a follow up to the greatest selling home console, had inferior and outdated network (later getting a near month long outage due to hack) and their franchises took awhile to get cooking. The hype came from it being the immediate successor to the PS2, console royalty and greatest selling video game hardware. Ps3 is comparatively a flop because it 87m vs 158m. It was Playstation worst selling home console.
And my feelings about Xbox one games? Look at the critic averages of X1 vs Playstation 4. Then look at 360's vs PS3. Critic disparity was much smaller between their larger franchises. That's not my feelings alone. And franchises stagnation was mentioned by critics and seemingly validated by sales. If they were that good, they would have come back. Their marketing blunders were primarily when early year or so. Their impact throughout the generation is grossly overstated.
No one is revising history except individuals screaming "Xbox Tax" and omitting numerous details of 7th generation.
