Yeah Thrash, and Sony making the same damn live service mistake. I don't know a single damn person who likes or plays live services, and none of the crap they're bringing will change that. They have a solid enough foundation I think they'll stay on top until they all fail enough to move past them. How do these smart companies look at live services and see that for every 20 failures you get 1 success, and even then, only 1 out of the handful of successes will be a massive hit. That hole in one shot makes enough money they're willing to risk losing everything to find it? Crazy. Seems when Sony gets too much success, they get too much ego. Been a long time. The ps3 launch was the worst, but I see it coming with this live services debacle. The only thing they have a chance with is TLOU, but they'll kill it possibly if they do TLOU3 and lean more into the woke like 2. I know 2 did good, but we all know it would have had double the sales without the leak showcasing their direction and then the follow through. The people that avoided the leak or simply didn't know had pre-orders and day 1 buys that carried the sales. Now everyone knows, and they haven't forgotten, and people are even more fed up both irl and in gaming with the nonsense. Abby being in it again, if she is, will be enough to hurt it. I know this is one thing we do disagree on. The 1st is one of my favorites ever. The 2nd, great gameplay and graphics obviously...but hated the game. Couldn't even get through it. Most people I know skipped it altogether.
It's bad enough Sony is one of the worst censors. I can't abide that. I had to order Martha Is Dead from Japan to get the actual uncensored game, but that's not always a thing.
Anyway, didn't mean to get sidetracked. Of course MS gonna f*ck with reviews. Metacritic does it. Rotten Tomatoes does it. It's BS...at least when gamers have to buy a game to review. I agree with that, but if you can't listen to reviews of your paying customers...you're a coward company that doesn't give a sh1t about your consumers.
Interesting look at things. Good time. I'd be willing to bet Nintendo has the most honest company executives and fans...or well, Sony fans have no reason to be dishonest. I think we point out great games, and at least you and myself...and the Round Table and my friends...none of us have a problem calling out a bad game no matter who made it. I'm not tribal about companies. I support and love plenty of Devs who have screwed up and put out at least 1 bad game. That's what separates us from the Bots...they'll defend anything because it says Xbox on it, no matter how bad...at least on youtube and Twitter, as you proved here, the ones actually buying the games will call out crap. Respect to those Xbox gamers, they are not Bots. They are fellow gamers.

Phil literally said that by Xbox's internal review system, a hot garbage like Redfall would be a highly rated game. Bear in mind how dangerous that BS is. MS, who is trying to monopolize the gaming industry, have no internal review system for the games they make, and Phil just handwaves their garbage games with some fairy tale about an "internal review system".
That is honestly not only sad but frightening, if anything the Xbox has to go ATP if I'm tbh the only way they survive is by becoming a Third Party

And Gamepass sounds nice and has a niche place but not only are developers losing money by having to pay MS some of the profit, but they lose money by developing over two SKU's, one of which is weak and holds games back.

I would still like anyone to tell me the name of just one game that is an Xbox Exclusive? Ever since 2017. Not a single person can tell me what's Xboxes last exclusive game was. Not even people that claim to be a Xbox fan and have Xbox YT channels, like Colteastwood.

Nice try but still to this day not a single person knows that answer. I happen to do, but Im trying to find someone out there that is a Xbox fan with a higher IQ of 2 maybe 3.. PS fans IQ levels are in the 130s to 140s if not even higher.

Edit: Im the one that plays games, because I own every single gaming consoles ever made for the US with the exception of the NintendoStation and thousands of games dating all the way back to 1972, when video gaming became a thing.
When it comes to review submissions Microsoft have found a kind of modding they *like.*
Something I also, noticed about the Xbox Store is they will purposely hide certain games from ever showing up in the browsing menus. Like maybe possibly certain Single player games. Or new developers looking to put games that *will* Sell.
They either scrubbed negative user reviews (Gears 5 lol) on their Xbox store or outright banned me on the official website for "negativity" about the state of Xbox. They don't give 2 shits about their customers. 20 years out the window.
This is why nobody except Xbox fanboys with insecurities and PeeCee gamers with anger issues supports Microsoft.
The only way you can make this case is by doing a side by side comparing Sony, Nintendo and Xbox and the way they all handle the same things. What you're saying here sounds par for the course with corporate companies so it looks like you're just taking shots at Xbox.

Rec Room is pretty good on ps4 with psvr. It is a collection of vr mini games for free. It is every genre practically. I haven’t heard slurs but the hub area is like a bunch of 13 year olds talkin crap and messing around. I played disc golf with a dude from Europe.

Cross play is forced on xbox on ps its a option lack of players on xbox thats why i play bf2042 and keep cross play off and never have a problem getting a game with jast ps5 players

Ehh, I feel like they REALLY only take their community feedback into consideration when they’re either backed into a corner like they were with the Xbox One launch AND/OR when it’s something that can be solved with a simple policy change, software/firmware update, or release of some new hardware that they can then sell you (new console SKUs, controllers, etc).
But when it comes to feedback about making sure their games come out fully-cooked without a MYRIAD of technical issues and meeting a certain bar of quality, they seem to be completely “tone-deaf.”
That’s SELECTIVE listening/comprehension, not the active “two-way dialogue” that the Xbox talking heads and fanboys like to present.

It’s kinda crazy that BG3 just happened to come out NOW and it’s gonna be interesting to see if it ends up stealing some of Starfield’s thunder (though I have a sneaking suspicion that no matter how GOOD, BAD, or outright BROKEN Starfield is at release, the “usual suspects” in gaming reviews media will be happy to shower it with 10/10 scores so I’m curious to see how the conversation surrounding the game develops after it launches).

forza 5 is an awesome game it's just more copy and paste and those who have all played forza 1-4 see that and give it mid reviews.. But if you never played forza horizon 1-4 and play horizon 5 fresh is there anything better on market in terms of driving/racing??? No and there is nothing even close. Halo infinite is garbage compared to the Bungie Halos but so is almost every other fps including sony fps. Killzone compared to bungie Halo? garbage. Resistance compared to bungie halo? Garbage.. The difference is sony was smart enough to see that and let those teams have the freedom to make new IP and now we have horizon zero and spiderman and so on.. Halo infinite on its own is an above average game but that's not good enough for all the 35 year olds who grew up on Halo 2/ Halo.. That's just bad management on Microsoft. 343 has talent.. halo 4 has amazing graphics and it plays well but it doesnt play like classic halo. Halo 5 is AWESOME compared to other advanced movement games at that time(advanced warfare, titanfall and black ops 3 and so on) but it's not classic halo. Infinite is a good modern day shooter but it's not classic halo.. 343 should NOT make halo games other than updates to MCC. There should be no new Halo games as the standard set by early bungie can never be matched. 343 should be allowed to make a new game THEY WANT and if it sucks close them down. That's just bad product management by MS.
It's sad that what happened ti halo will happen ti cod and ABK in general MS drive the talents and devs away the only way they can keep the publisher is by buying them months after buyouts devs start to leave xbox and MS they laid off 10k of their employees most of them were full time employees pretty sad and greedy they did this because ABK employees are somewhere in 9000s

A good way to know if a review is genuine or not: look at what word is used to refer to the game.
If a review says "this game is good." then nope. It's fake. Real gamers don't call it "game". We call them by their titles. "Gears 5 is good, because of this and that." "Oh I think Gears 4 is better than 5 , because..." "Halo 3 is the best..."
Nobody talk about their favorite game "this game" or "that game".

It's been proven over and over again that Xbox and PC gamers dont buy or play games and PC gaming is a thing of the past when you have to keep upgrading your PC just to meet the minimal system requirements on a PC to be able to play PS games. Hints why a lot of people buy both a PS and Xbox.
That way they have games to play all year long on PS and maybe 1 or 2 games a year on Xbox, if we're lucky.
Hell in 2022 Xbox couldn't even get a decent group of devs together to make one 1st party game. What has Xbox released sense 2020? 3 train wreck editions of games. Forza 5 being a copy/paste game from Forza 4, Halo Infinite (The Train Wreck Edition) that no one plays anymore and Redfails (The Trash Edition) is all Xbox has gotten since Nov 2020.
MS taking Xbox to a cloud gaming service only is a huge mistake, it would be much smarter for MS to turn Xbox into a 3rd party company like Sega did. Sega has released more game this gen then Xbox has. But buying and paying their way through the gaming industry will be the end of Xbox.
