Such beautiful landscape! Peaceful place to unwind and be away the stress of life. I admire you, and someday soon wish to be able to get out and enjoy life like this.
Another great video!!!! What a cool place to hike, I raised my kids out hiking and camping in the woods😅 and now they spend alot of time in the woods!!!! So cool to see your adventure, keep the videos coming!!!❤
Have you ever camped at Sage Creek Campground? It’s free way out down a gravel road. I camped there last year and slept with about 200 buffalo and a hand full of prairie dogs. I’m ready to go again.
My small yorkie-poo dog gives me that feeling like when you showed your camp fire at the end. He's a lot like the yorkie I had when I was a kid. The one I have now is just a touch bigger. It looks like you made a wise decision to remove yourself from whatever the previous situation was. I had a situation in my early 20’s that I removed myself from. Even though I was in it for about four years, the repercussions of it lasted up until a few years ago and really, it altered my life permanently. I grew up pretty poor. I have one really good friend from childhood, he was really poor too. His family had to move pretty far away and do things to survive that they really would have not rather done. My childhood friend is a lot like me too. His family moved away at age 14. We are the same age, 48 years old. Both me and him have had very hard lives. He came back to visit me once and I went to visit him too where he moved to which is over a 30 hour drive away from where I was. I made that trip in 1995. He still lives in the same area. The friendship is still very precious. One of his uncle's lived in nebraska and I think he passed away there. I had spent a little bit of time around that uncle before his uncle moved away. We grew up in california. I'm in nevada and he is in montana. He ended up having three kids and a wife. Me, I have one adult daughter. Her mom is an abuser. I've been with a different lady that is not her mom for about 22 years. I wouldn't do that over again either but oh well, she is consistent and goes to work everyday, so she's productive to an extent. That's not really a conciliation for what I've been through but she throws me some scraps here and there so that helps. These situations can suck the life right out of you. I've always done the right things. On the other side of it, when you work two and three jobs, side hustles, and businesses and are a workaholic, it will catch up to you. Of course you don't want to think about it at the time, just keep moving forward right? You only have one body and one life. I keep moving forward but I did have my first surgery over a year ago. I continued to work on my projects even after I came home from the hospital. I never stop. I do have to be very aware not to work myself to death. You're very productive, just keep that in mind because before you know it, you're my age and not a spring chicken anymore. That sucks to be like me and my friend I was talking about and our bodies are torn up from everything. Don't know if you can prevent that or not but just be careful. I don't know if I could have done anything different to this point. Just food for thought.
im starting to feel it for sure. vanlife is the answer. slow living. taking it easy. ill drive too long and hike too far and have struggles along the way but ive faced more hardship in this life than i ever will as a nomad
@@vanlifemeow A 64 ounce or a 100 ounce stainless steel mug tumbler makes life nice. You can kick back on a lawn chair or a chair outside or inside and sip your favorite beverage or water. Installing a long spiral straw on it is key for the experience which is usually something you have to buy separately. A spiral straw long enough so you can set the mug down on the floor or the ground so you're just holding the straw while relaxing and sipping. I had a neighbor family on the other street from me growing up. They were half good and half bad, right down the middle, both good and bad deeds were them. The mom was one of those 500 pound overweight behemoths, diabetic off the charts laying in the lazy boy chair in the living room almost 24/7. She had a gallon mug tumbler on the floor next to the lazy boy with a spiral straw routed up to the front of lazy boy and the straw continued through on the side of the cushion. The spirals began from the top of the cushion on her side. Before I figured out they were half bad, she had a setup where a spiral straw came came up from the mug tumbler from the floor to the side but she got tired of picking up the straw from the side. They even installed a check valve so she didn't have to suck that much to get a drink. Her husband would open the top and fill it from a 2 liter diet Pepsi or a diet Coke bottle. I couldn't make that up even if I tried because that's what I actually witnessed. I always thought how relaxing that was and I would get one of those straws and a gallon mug and sit outside like that on a lawn chair out on my own land someday. They really seemed like authentic people but unfortunately, they were backstabbers too. That's the one thing I'm going to carry on from that though, is the gallon (or approximate) mug with spiral straw. I'm going to put unsweetened ice tea in mine when I get my mug and spiral straw setup. Thought I'd share that with you.
First of all I really enjoy watching your van build. I guess want to ask you a question my son just bought a Toyota Avalon and the back of ceiling fabric is coming off only about 3 inches to edge. What would you do or use to fix that. The rest is great shape. Thanks in advance
aerosol headliner adhesive by permatex. its about 13 bucks a can. you spray it on, let it tack up for like 10 mins then stick the fabric back up. i buy it at menards idk what part of the country you're in but they do sell it at oreilly auto
Very cool area..love the rock formations 😁👍
If you don't live now, then you are lost !! Thank you for sharing 😊😊😊

I love love SD and no I want to go to Toadstool! It’s 13 1/2 hrs from where I live. I’m thinking next year sometime.
its a very peaceful place. its like the badlands without the price
Which Star Trek? I love them all but I’m not sure if it reminds me of the original series or Star Trek enterprise?
the star trek episode i was thinking of was actually filmed at vasquez rocks in california. very similar
