- They didn't want to hear my opinion. They just wanted to hear their opinions spoken from my mouth. Thankfully, the rest of the year was pretty great.

OMG Tim, I had to laugh, sort of wanted to cry too - I mean, how very DARE you even suggest that you might have a different slant on something than each and every person watching your reviews.
Actually the irony is even in that sentence I just typed.
Sentient humans are getting rarer man, really. But I do love the ones that are still around ;-)

Happy New Years Tim,honestly I've enjoyed all your videos but really like the night rides with the cinematography and poetry thrown in and the history of the places you go visit,the ruins are always cool to see,looking forward to what the new year brings and your videos and really putting some miles on my old bike.

Hey Tim, gotta say your night riding video was great and super relaxing. Been following your channel for some time and it has definitely given me the bug to take a riders safety course and buy my first motorcycle. Hey Tim! I found your channel this year and have watched all your videos. I really enjoyed them! Don’t worry about the nut cases and just do what you like. I personally like the riding videos and the bike reviews. I’m originally from east Texas and the landscape out there in west Texas is amazing. Take care and Happy New Year!

Still one of my all time favorite channels, personally I like the variety with reviews, podcasts, and other topics of interest. Sure the ghost town, ruins, and nature are my favorite. I kinda figured the KLR guys would grab the torches when I saw that review but again, why get so upset over one channels review. Surely there are others. Anyway appreciate the work and content and look forward to 2022 content and my own ride experience.

I tried to get away on the bike for a few days just after Christmas but the rain made it miserable, so we turned around and went home. I was keen to push on, but my partner had had enough and her whining through my Sena made me want it to end as well. lol
But we did get out a few days later for a nice 4 days away. We got wet, but were better prepared and it wasn't as heavy. Hope your trip is dry this year my friend!
We're needing rain n a big way here. If we don't get some soon, it's likely to be a springtime of brush fires. Fingers crossed. Cheers and Happy New Year!

Great year in review vid. It is unfortunate that some people got nasty in your review vids. Some people seem to seek affirmation from TH-cam vids for their own likes or purchases. Anyway, I appreciate the effort you put into content. Its good stuff!

Tim, you referred to "soaked riding gear". When I had my Honda 400 I was very tight for money. A friend gave me his USN leather flight jacket but that and jeans is what I had. But I bought Vetter a rain suit. One New Years day back in the 80's I had to make a 25 mile ride on Southern California freeways in a torrential downpour. What we call an El Nino here in CA. It scared the heck out of me. But when I got home I was only wet on a small area on the back of my neck. It fit in my little case I had on my luggage rack and I stopped in a burger place in Pasadena to put it on. Why don't you carry one?
Also, I really enjoy your West Texas videos. As to the reviews, I used to tell my son when he griped about what someone had done or said, "God loves jerks. That is why he made so many". TH-cam attracts lots of jerks. Ignore and keep on doing things your way.

Happy New Year Tim. Sorry I have not been around much but much like you life took me in a bit of a different direction. Work is more making me struggle with free time and health issues basically took me off two wheels which I guess made my interest drop. Actually that is not true,the interest is still there but I dealt with the disappointment by backing away. I will try to watch more in the new year. Enjoy tomorrow then prepare for the cold blast. I don’t know, but it seems like Motorcyle guys are the most sensitive, easily butt hurt, and brand egocentric of all. Maybe car and truck guys are the same, but I don’t follow that content much. I’ll help and gladly, you do great content and deserve the likes. I’ve been distracted with other things for a while, mostly trying to keep up with this crazy world we’ve been thrust into.
No worries. I've been distracted, too. My Dad is having health problems again and work has been hectic, so there hasn't been much time for video-making. I've got a couple of good motorcycle episodes in the works, though, so fingers crossed for an agreeable springtime.

There's nothing wrong with you switching up the content once in a while. I actually find the ham radio stuff pretty interesting.
I like the KLR 650 motorcycle (I plan on getting one someday). I don't understand how Fanboys get so salty because someone said something bad about their favorite bike. There's a tool guy I watch who said something similar about Ford and all the Ford fanboys came out the woodwork.

Most excellent my friend! Screw the KLR whiney-babies. You don't have to like my bike, and I don't have to like yours. The best way to enjoy motorcycles is to ride what you like to ride, the way you like to ride it. If they don't get that, tough titty.
I'm with you on the hectic year (well years). Work has had me pressed really hard, plus owning a 70 year old house. The good news is, I'm back in my editing computer and punching out some TH-cam noise.
I really enjoy your channel and every video I watch is like catching up with an old friend. I really appreciate that even though I don't always get the chance to comment on every video I watch.

That night ride video was a good one, I used to work a shift from 4pm-12, so I did a bit of late-night riding back then. Good stuff, keep it up!

Thanks, Tim! Too bad it would take a couple days just to get there, would love to hook up for a ride and a few beers some time. Did a 2500 mile trip (in 2 parts, 5 days in VA, NC, bits of TN and KY, capped off with a 500-mile very twisty route home, worked the weekend, then 3 days in MD and PA) back in Oct., longest I've done on the Bonnie. Got some great pics, including one in front of the "World's Largest Chest of Drawers" (32 feet) in High Point, NC, where the good furniture used to come from.
Don't tell my wife about that chest of drawers! She'll wanna buy it. Hahahaha. :-)

My first thought was, "Haters gonna hate, potatoes gonna potate." You have a strong enough skin to blow it off, but how about those haters? You almost have to feel sorry for them because they have nothing. I think you are on track, couldn't believe it's been 8 years. If I had kept up with my channel in Photoshop it would have been about the same. I caught a woodworking woman channel about a year ago, Young mom of 4. I told her when I started watching she would get huge. She just hit 100K. We had the same conversation about why her channel exists. It's DIY and family. (Welcome to the Woods). Point was, you do the channel you want. I think a lot of your videos are lost in translation because people don't know West Texas. But you are breaking that ground, showing a side of the state that doesn't get press and should. Riding around at night in the summer there is so different than other parts of the state. I'm glad this isn't a typical "Hit that subscribe button and join on Patreon," channel.
