@The golden ages of MTV From 1981 to 1995 - NO *REALLY* , he DID gain *AT LEAST* 15HP. What, you didn’t know that?? The wrap activates the PCM to increase air/fuel ratio and open the exhaust more while bypassing the CATs. DUH!! Everyone knows that.
why would you manual this car? the automatic gearbox is a good one and there is no need to do that. If you need a manual, you buy one from the beginning
When you do the vent holes, you move the excess from the outside corners into the center of the vent hole. Then you cut the excess away and because there is more material in the vent hole, you now have enough to wrap around the corners of the interior curves...
real carbon fiber interior pieces aren't even functional, my f82 m4s carbon pieces weigh as much as regular trim pieces of my old 335i. Its just for looks. but bro you did a really good job!
I just bought some of this wrap. I was skeptical about myself wrapping it since I have never wrapped anything before. Watching this made me want to try it so thanks. Nice job by the way!
These are the best car mods some time is about how your car makes you feel and mods like this displays your own taste so who cares if it’s real fiber or not it’s your car and your wallet
Looking good man, nevermind about the not so perfect areas, you can always redo them. The way I see it, the fact you did it yourself theres more pride in your ride!
Good job, i did my 2004 E60 about 8 years ago and let me tell you the interior wrap last. I will need to redo a few this winter because i am a perfectionist but i wish i was a young DIYer and had time to make videos. Keep the videos going...
Very important as I just did mine in matte blue: when removing the main dashboard trim the passenger side (the edge of the trim where the vent is) is “hooked” onto the support which looks like a nail. Safest way to remove the trim is loosen up everything and then slide the trim to the right so you free it from the peg behind it.
You do the corners first. Then the extra material in on the long sides. Then you diagonally pull on the long sides as you work from one end to the other to slowly use up the excess..
Best tip would be to make sure one knows the material one will be applying . There are many different sorts of vinyl and some require a lot of heat for flexing , while other may not need heat at all .
I used 5D carbon fiber vinyl from ebay a couple months back in my 350z and it turned out amazing. Literally cant tell the difference between real carbon fiber and wrap. There's a video on youtube that demonstrates how similar the two look.
Carbon wrapped the centre console, stereo due to worn rubberized paint & rear panels either side of rear screen had faded on my SLK. Looks great now, worth doing & only cost £12 for vinyl wrap off Ebay
I’ve got an ‘07 525xi. Definitely not the fastest nor nicest. But I have been looking at doing something like this. I’m tired of the wood, it just makes the car look as old as it is. I love the style of this carbon fiber so I’m definitely gonna knock this out in the summer
Wow that looks great! The wood grain to me looks very old and outdated on these cars. My friend has a Mercedes with the same fake wood grain and it looks tacky in my opinion. The CF really brought the sports car modern theme that it lacked on the interior. Good job I know this must have took hours!
Your biggest mistake I saw was the ashtray wrap not angled the same direction. Otherwise I see you did a wonderful job Christian! Thanks for sharing that experience with us! Best wishes and Peace out my friend!

honestly for what it is its really good looking definitely gonna do this on mine but bro dont beat yourself up about the corners its good bro plus u can just always remove it
FYI: My 335i gained 15HP after installing this mod 😎
I have 2 M badges, +40 HP
You mean 5000hp

@@mariusbancila2702 true the amount of money you'll pay to do that , might as well buy another one that's manual😂😂
I personally like the wood more but nice mod anyways.
just_jimmy I think a glossy carbon fiber would be better
I have the wood my family says it's like a old man car with it
@@geo745don it looks so old man, i will change it but i don't mind it

try stretching the wrap out more on those corners. Just takes patients for the trim piece to come out flawless.

This guy puts so much effort in his car and videos. Amazing!
Respect from 🇮🇳
I did mine not too long ago and the way I did the corner was heat gun and a lot of pulling in order to follow the shape of the trim.
You do the corners first. Then the extra material in on the long sides. Then you diagonally pull on the long sides as you work from one end to the other to slowly use up the excess..
Looks good! Anything’s better than the wood grain honestly lol. I’m wrapping mine in the Vivid black brushed aluminum soon for same reason
Right on dude!
Haha, 10-15yrs ago people loved the 'wood.'
@@IceMan-il7dx I still love the wood.

You should’ve explained how you would deal with the corners next time you do this. Great video either way :)
Gotcha!
For the center console… did you take the vents in the middle off? I’m in the middle of that and it’s giving me a real hard time

Yeah I'm really digging the look of the trim now. And yes it took several hours to complete!
Hey bro you still remember me I’m a og fan I remember when you had less then 100 subs
Good to see you 👊🏼
Honestly when done right carbo fiber wrap is hella 🔥
How much material did you use to wrap all the wood trim...??.
Ash tray patern is in different angle than mid console, rest looks good!
When removing the trim you state "the clips just snap right off" .. you mean "break off", right? That is usually what happens to me.
In my experience they didn't break. Lucky me I suppose
Bro for the trim pieces try using cellphone part tools, it's super precise and you can have more control and limited damages iA
New steering wheel is a great idea also wanna see how it’s installed with paddle shifters
I have a Golf R 2013. Thinking of getting an E93. Still debating.
My stepdad did the same thing but he put a red line on the dash , down the "wood" things , but he used the original carbon paper for them

Does the summer heat(100° +) affect the wrap at all?
Great vid, only thing I dont like is that the ash tray vinyl is in other direction
Just picked up a 2010
335i xdrive manual coupe this weekend.
A bit heavier but still fast.
I guess that i am the only one that prefers wood trim in cars.
I like the wood trims in modern cars, a much darker color
It came out better than I expected, but I still don't consider covering wood with vinyl to be an upgrade.
Never said it was an upgrade

How many meters of Wrap did you use? Total
What did you wrap the chrome trim with my black is fading
Just out of curiosity? How much did the stage 2 mhd tune cost?
Hi!!appreciate the diy!!
Where can I get those liners??
Cool! I did not think about that. Where did you buy the interior?

Can’t wait to get a 335i
I must be old-school because I like the wood trim.
You could put a small lip spoiler and clean headlights
Looks really good though man, good job on wrapping.
👊🏼
How much carbon fiber did you order
how much did you purchase for the wrap? 1ft by 5ft enough to cover the whole interior ??
Honestly I don't remember the size I purchased. It's been a while. I may have linked it in the description.
Do you know if I can adopt a more modern steering wheel original BMW to my old BMW 2006 325 I
Looks way more better
Wooohooo just the video update that I have been waiting for. Let's see what we have in store today.
How do you put trim back? It’s not tight now
Inspect the clips.
Didn't even realize I hated the wood trim in my 135 until now LOL
Can we get a hint of your Upload Schedule?
I don't have any at the moment lol. Hopefully once I get situated with my daily life shenanigans I'll make one :)
What size roll did you get? I just ordered a 1.5ft by 5 ft. Hopefully it’s enough. If not I can always get more
You are really dedicated, spectacular job, will do same in mine
I think if you pull the wrap and heated it will adjust..
How many feet did you need?
That is genuinely nice
That looks hella clean 👌🏼
Nice I live how it turn out. How many vinyl wrap did you use? And order

When you were doing the ash tray how did you do the sliver line? It looks mad clean I wish you showed that
Essentially I cut lightly around the outline of the silver piece. I cut it last minute which is why it didn't make it on video
I’ve got the same wood grain and was going to buy the replacement parts, but this is a great alternative. Awesome idea, thanks

Matte is more durable since you can't see scratches and scuffs. Matte hides imperfections easier.
