Thanks brother! This is day two for me being a trucker. Last night I was in southern Oregon and it was very cool and comfortable without anything. Tonight I am in Chico California and it is 107 degrees at 7 p.m.! You just saved my night! I know it's in the book somewhere but you made it a lot easier. :-)
Thank you so much man! I have a 19 and I've been dying in the summer man because I couldnt figure this out! I would literally wake up in a pool of sweat and turn the truck on manually and try to fall asleep before it shut off again! Thank you thank you thank you!
You helped me too that’s a great information thanks bro Now I can cook nicely without interruption truck shutdown lol Let’s make some pasta today lol à spicy one Thanks again god bless
Happy I dint have the newer trucks that literally turn off and on all night. How long do starters last in thighs about 6 months? Lol I parked next to a guy the other night it turned on and off literally over 20 times before I fell asleep
Jeez I got jipped. I have a 2018 I leased than bought. I have the garbage cluster not digital. No power locks and no smart wheel. Going to upgrade the wheel and audio when money allows but that very nice stock.
Question. Where the vent for the bunk heater is at, you have a black cord, and a red cord... What are those for.. I have a 2019 freight, I am off now for the holidays,. What breakers or fuses that you have as extra in case your power cigarette lighter does not work, or your headlights don't work? Thank You
Make it easier if you already have interior comfort mode on , turn the air conditioning fan off and use the bunk heater. No need to switch the settings on the dash.
Not complaining, but my truck keeps running almost all night, turns off, and wont come back on till your drenchin in a sweat pool. Id rather leave it run all night without the optimized idle.
@@dannis6229 It will only run like that once. The next time it runs it will be because of low battery. The A/C will run at that time. If you want it to run before that, turn off the key then on again and set up interior comfort again. Why it won't simply run off a thermostat all night? Companies program them not to.
@@Benni711 I don’t work for the company anymore. I knew where the sensor was (underneath the driver side mirror,) so I tried running a dryer duct from the engine bay to the sensor and while hot air was escaping through it, unfortunately it was enough.
If you turn the key to off the bunk heater will only run for a few mins and quit running . And comfort mode will not work without the key in the on position .
@@andrewcranford2492 just to be clear since it's cold out now... don't turn the switch to off correct? Because the last time I used that thing, I woke up cold And dead in the water. Totally drained the 🔋
Your a tool dude. You were a rookie at some point so that comment is ignorant. I know your just looking for attention. You are exactly what’s wrong with people these days and especially in the trucking industry. Your probably some fat fuck that gets no attention other than from lot lizards. This is a good video for experienced and rookie drivers alike. These trucks are new and most companies don’t go over this information when issuing you a truck. People rely on people like this guy to make good videos to help. Tell you what fucktard...if your so smart why don’t you make some instructional videos instead of running that cocksucker talking shit to everyone. ????
Update: How old are you? Are you using your sons TH-cam to make comments? I click on your page and it’s all about video games and you can hear a little boy talking. I assume this is your son. Sooooo you don’t know how to make your own TH-cam profile but you call this man a rookie for the video? Too damn funny.
Andrew Cranford Anytime Brother. You didn’t need the rescue but I cannot stand people like that dude. 👎 Notice he didn’t say anything. He might now to save face since I’m saying this butttt it’s too late. 😂

My truck vehicle settings doesn't look like that. How would I set mines? I know how to work the heater though.
Definitely gonna subscribe to your channel
Awesome happy to have ya .

This is the only way mine works , I assume other companies set their trucks up differently .
M trying this on a 2021, it’s not blowing cold air, is this a different system
My 2018 freightliner does not have optimize idol just idle adjust
Hi did you make it work?
Thank you
Happy to help .
Works on the 2020 as well!
Nice glad I could help you out 👍🏻
Will this keep my fridge running?
You don’t need to change the idle setting for heat just turn the dash temp control to heat and adjust it from the sleeper
No you actually do or it'll blow cold air like mine did
What about the inverter mines keeps beeping
My truck doesn’t have that ajustments, only detroit engine has

I'm having this problem too super annoying
I had this problem to is there anyway to not have this problem?

I dont have optimize idol
It sucks
What if I don’t have the optimize idle feature?
Did you ever figure it out?
Keyante Goodman Yeah, and that answer is CR England are sick heads. Nothing you can do in the 2020s.

I have 2021 cascadia why don’t I get that with my opti idle? I don’t have interior comfort…
I couldn't tell ya, looks like the 21's are set up different.
