Such a terrible system...when you're sleeping, the whole damn truck shakes when it starts. Then off again...then on again...then off again...over and over throughout the night.
You would think by now that these truck manufacturers would make it where the truck idles on just a few cylinders instead of all 12 to save fuel… but I’m sure there’s a reason for that
I don't have the idle adjust option on that screen. Man mine will idle when its over 100 degrees but if its 99 or lower it will shut off. I set the opti idle and it will turn on and run once in a while but not before the APU shuts off. The APU will shut off and start blinking and the trucks not firing up. So when its in the 90s i keep waking up sweating. The apu will turn back on if i just turn off then on but only for like 10 mins. Its driving me crazy. Can't find a fix anywhere.
It’s gonna start and shutdown based on temperature AND battery charge battery charge is the primary override condition so that you maintain enough battery charge to restart your truck always
Wait till your freightliner gives you the message.. fail to start cycle your key.. and it will not start .. first time i jumped the starter ... this time nothing ..

Why doesn't it kick on to heat the truck?
When it works. Need to have comfort mode off. And the heater will kick on when you set it in the sleeper

You can push in the yellow air break usually and it will idle
@@SamC992 in this case you gonna have to shutoff / turn on the engine manually plus it’s unsafe when you parked up/down hill.
