Has your HVAC stopped blowing hot air on a cold day or is it blowing lava hot air on a summer day? It could be your blend door stuck. Try this procedure before taking your truck to a shop, it just might fix your problems.
FYI, I have had a couple trucks where they had to do it more than once so try it a couple times.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE SEEING THIS AND CAN'T GET IT TO WORK:
Step 1. Set all dials to where he showed you INCLUDING the ones in the bunk.
Step 2. Turn truck off and leave key facing up and down (not tilted either way).
Step 3. Cut the trucks connection to the battery with the switch on the ground at the back left corner of your chair. (Give it about 15 seconds before reconnecting)
Step 4. Turn key one click clockwise and then hold both buttons like he showed you. (Keep holding for a little bit even after they start blinking).
Step 5. Turn your truck on and cross your fingers. :)

Didn't work for me I'm dying here in Cali
If the sleeper thermostat stops working open the closet, unplug the thermometer plug it back in and it will work again. This is not for the bunk heater. This is for the air conditioner controls in the sleeper.

How long to leave unplugged I'm in Cali and I'm baking to death only.blowing hot air it was working fine before

Love it! My bunk was blowing cold, but the cab was red hot in 90% humidity here in Kentucky.. I was cool laying down, the moment I sat up I was melting..
Followed this trick and now I’m getting to sub-zero temps up in here, which I prefer.. easier to remove a blanket/sheet than it is to try to maintain a comfy temperature without them.

Once I saw it was engine off in accessory, I did this and got me the cooler air I needed. My system was trying to roast me outta this truck
It worked for me! 2020 freightliner cascadia. Turn the truck off, turn the key to the left. Hold the buttons until it flashing. Start the truck up. Cold air. Amazing 👏

2020 cascadia here, we had to turn our truck off to get this work but it made the world's difference! Hot air in the bunk, cold up front, that kept shutting down our smart idle randomly at night. I was all but ready to rip the controls off the wall lol so glad I found this video!

I'm having similar problems I think is you had. I reset the front part of the truck and it's blowing cold air. But my 2021 cascadia the sleeper control will not blow cold air and it keeps on blowing hot air no matter if you turn it off. And I can't idle the truck because it shuts off and you wake up 150° any suggestions
@@dannyflemings864 using this trick worked for ours to fix the bunk blowing hot but the truck had to be off. When we set the opti idle to interior comfort it would cycle through a few times then never crank the truck again so we'd wake up just baking in there. I never figured out how to fix that, I'm sorry.
Your a hero dude. I’m in El Paso for a 34 hour break and my sleeper controls would only control the front ac but nothing would change in the sleeper. I tried this and now it works fine.

The truck needs to be off and I had to have the truck key turned to the left while having those buttons pressed. Now freezing air finally blowing in sleeper too not just upfront. 👏👏👏

I had nothing but full heat up front. I was about on fire. I tried to do it with the truck running and it did not work. I turned the truck on and just turn the key onto accessory. Then did the steps you showed and it fixed it. Thank you

You need to say that we must shut the truck off, turn the key in ON position and then do those steps

Find the fuse and pull it and put it back in. Quicker and easier and works every time.
Hit a big crater hole on the highway and my heat stop working. Pull over watch this video and worked like a charm....Thanks man
The issue im having is AC wont consistently run to keep sleeper AND cab cold (team truck, so both need to be working simultaneously) When it does work, its FREEZING us to death, but then after a day or two into our work week, it will quit working, either in sleeper or in cab. Sometimes both. Resetting the truck (turning off, waiting 20-30 mins) SOMETIMES works. Filters are clean. Gonna try this next.

Was worth a shot. Those steps worked on 2023 but still poor cooling. Can pressure is good among. Just don’t get it. Blend door could be broken most likely.

I found the blend air actuator had popped off of the housing allowing the blend air door to not function properly. I got the actuator put back in correctly and all is functioning properly now.

Can’t tell, even when reading some comments. You didn’t say as part of your instruction. Key turned to right or left? Engine on or not? Details matter. Guess I’ll have to experiment.😕

Key needs to be on accessory. Then start it after blink blink.
Make sure ya'll trucks are not running...turn the ignition to the on position
You know I have actually done this while driving down the road before. But I have found that some people say key on engine off, key on engine on, key on engine on while driving. So maybe some of the trucks just respond differently.

Holy hell thank you....that does more than just reset that door.....my truck randomly has issues where it'll just stop blowing cold as if you just turned the blower on and it unfucked my a/c

Mine just randomly started this same issue tonight. It's on and working, then the lights go out and the cold air turns to ambient temp air, which is hot lol. This reset is working so far, hope it stays

This worked for my 2015 Cascadia. But I'm totally confused. My AC worked for over a year without any issues. Now I'm resetting it every time I turn the truck off. Any idea why it might be getting stuck all of a sudden? Thank you.
This didn't work for me. The front buttons don't light up at all, no air comes out at all no matter what setting. The rear controls work and blow air, the front is just completely dead
Well you might try it a few different ways such as truck running vs truck off but key on. It is also possible you have a bigger problem than your blend door. Usually this issue is just when you have air blowing but it is the wrong temperature.
I have 2021 Freightliner, I had to turn engine off with key on on position then reset.
Some trucks are that way, funny how it goes. Thanks for the input. Try both, key on engine off and key on engine on.
What if I’m having issues with the sleeper berth ac controlling my ac on the in cab? How can I reset so that the knobs in the sleeper berth only control the back and the front (In cab) only controls the front temperature?

FYI truck can't be running. Turn key to on only press the buttons it'll reset.
For some reason my air smelled Luke barbeque right after doing this. Not sure if it really helped much in optimized idle comfort mode on the bunk will blow some heat in the bunk when set to do so by when you turn it to ac it continues to cook me until you turn it off and start again max cold. Then it blows semi air more like a fan
If your air smells like barbeque then you should be teaching us how to do it. I would love it if my HVAC smelled like bbq #smokedmeatsforlife!

My ac works fine but in the sleeper when I turned off the engine the park smart doesn’t blow cold air. I have to keep the engine running if I want the bunker to get cool while sleeping. Any idea on how to fix that??

Truck has to be off ? Stopped ?? Doesn’t really help for team on the fly, that door gets stuck on hot and start dying while sleeping
In my experience, you can be driving down the road or sitting parked. Key definitely has to be on though.

Freightliners have just too much window space, a terrible angle on the windshield that lets in too much sunlight / jump into a Peterbilt, and you'll know what I mean. You can can make ice cubes on the dash of those

Well that isn't good, sounds like you have an exhaust leak somewhere

Computer says no!
I tried that but it's still blowing cold up front and warm in the back. 0°f right now. It's on the stop start mode where the rear controls are supposed to control the front.
While driving to get heat I have to shut off the fan wait a while, turn the fan on to get heat.
It's a 2020 monstrosity. I can't wait for a computer to replace me.

Shoot different issue there I assume. My first guess would have been to try this.

I tried this the lights were flashing as described abs my problem still exists. I have cold AC in the front and the air coming from the Bunk is hot air.
They are stuck on cold in the front and hot in the back? Or can one of them change?
Maybe one of you guys can help me out. My AC up in the cab of the truck runs great it will freeze you out. But the bump it keeps blowing out warm air and you can't shut it off even if you shut the truck off the thing keeps running you cannot get it to blow out cold air any suggestions I know take it to a shop. But I thought maybe somebody else might know something
Sorry I don’t have any ideas on it nor have we come across that. To have power to that even with the key off though you must have crossed wires somewhere
