VW need to look at their policy of accountant led sourcing, build quality is terrible, the screen on ID range and especially new Golf Mk8 is shocking, on 24 hour test the screen froze three times, climate control is a joke...well done MG but please don’t follow VAG
VAG Golf and ID range are truly awful in terms of perceived and actual quality, Screen is a joke, climate control sliders not backlit ....embarrassing, and Golf 8 has scratchy plastics so poor compared with Golf 7.5 which felt like it was carved from rock and had excellent touchscreen....well done MG we currently run Golf E as third car for going to shops, dog runabout, but will certainly test drive this, seems like a lot of attractive car for the money
Just love these videos so professional and fun, I do not understand the subscriber numbers at all. Please keep up the great work! Also thanks for giving a great description of the interior, I rely on those as for some reason I can't remember the interior at all...must have been distracted!
You should re-visit the MG4. The MY2024 (from 1 July 2024) got a new software that fixed pretty much any issue with adas. It also keep in memory the one pedal setting, one pedal works with battery at 100%, models with sat-nav got route planning with recharge stop calculation (tesla-like). Also the roof of the interior is clear grey, that make the interior a lot less dark and all interior lights got replaced with led ones. I don't know if in UK is available, but top spec model with the standard power train got added to the line-up. So is 49kw/h standard, 49kw/h luxury (as is called the top spec in EU), 64kw/h standard, 64 kw/h luxury, 77kw/h trophy and 64kw/h x-power. MG pumped out so many quality of life improvement with the new MY, is unbelivable.
Does it need a rear wiper? many years ago I had an Austin Maxi, no rear wiper but the rear screen stayed clean, my next car had a rear wiper and washer and it did need it.
This makes me think of a pointed nose ev6 with the rear end of a Toyota B4Z. I think this is going to be a great seller for MG, for the price the spec and warranty it seems to be showing the more expensive brands how it should be done. The MG fan base seems to be growing and I can see why.
what noise on the EV6? my EV6 is a silent ninja with noise reduction windows and tyres. You may have artificial noise on. I have driven and sat in lots of EVs. EV6 is the most silent and best for interior space. oh, you meant NOSE!

*MG is directly owned by THE CHINESE MILITARY DICTATORSHIP that currently is threatening to commit GENOCIDE on tens of thousands, or more than a hundred thousand Taiwanese. Do you really want to buy a car DIRECTLY from THE CHINESE MILITARY DICTATORSHIP?*
So the main complaint/question I have heard, is when are we getting an EV for the masses, this car seems, be what people have been waiting for. price, range, are good, it doesn't look like something from a sci-fi b-movie. I don't think we will be seeing these in the US, anytime soon ,if ever, not much available in the affordable, for your average Joe or Jan, car.
@@rogerstarkey5390 not everyone, I want the performance version of this car to replace my ZS. They are supplying the more affordable version first though.
After 3 yr with the model 3 performance, I fancied a change and have ordered Trophy MG4, providing the used car prices remained as firm as current market prices, I’ll probably upgrade my Trophy to the hi performance MG4!
Yep. One of the bad justifications for it is that "aerodynamics don't allow water to stick" or whatever, but aero doesn't help much when the car is stationary. So when you park under or close to a tree (which you probably do semi often unless you live in a full concrete dystopia) you go to drive away and your rear glass is covered in pollen/sap/etc. and you can't do much.
Like headphone ports on mobile phones, wipers are going the way of the dodo, for some reason. You rarely see them on new EVs, even on bigger brands like Toyota and Tesla. Rear wipers do make a difference, my SUV has one that broke, and I sorely miss it on rainy days. I can't see a thing in the rear view mirror.
Very good review and the only one I've seen to mention the MG4 can tow a trailer and the towing capacity but unfortunately you missed an opportunity ! ! ! You could have mentioned that it is the cheapest and smallest EV coming to the UK that can actually tow and none of its rivals can, (unless you consider the other more expensive MG models) making it a huge selling point for MG. It would make an excellent camping/touring car with a small box trailer or micro caravan and for those who like the water you could tow a jet ski or possibly a small sailing boat, power boat or RIB inflatable ! I don't see this car depreciating in value much as it has so much value to offer at such a low price of £28,500 with a WLTP of 281 miles ! (Less if towing a boat ⛵ lol) !
Great looking car from MG and at a price that enables a lot more people to enter the EV market with a vehicle offering a decent range, practicality and style. A significant car I think and cant think of a reason why it wont do really well.

@@charliez7130 There are more than two options here. Here's a third option: Electric cars that aren't produced by a company directly owned by the Chinese Military Dictatorship. Cars like VW ID.3, Cupra Born, Nissan Leaf or Tesla Model 3.
I think I'll wait until they release one with a rear wash wipe, which is almost inevitable. I notice that Hyundai/KIA couldn't resist calls for one, what chance MG? There is a point at which cost cutting really is ridiculous, especially when they get so, so much right. I honestly think this may be the first car to challenge what I was originally aiming to get, the Ioniq 5. Not that I wanted to spend all that money, but that there was nothing on the market that would do what I wanted. The closest was the Niro - e, but "fast charging" on the LR version of that is still significantly longer than on this MG. Yeah, the performance of the Ioniq and Niro e are significantly better, but that is not essential, towing, LR, fast(ish) charging, these are essentials for me, the fact that it looks pretty neat is just a bonus. Well done MG.
We have an ioniq 5. There are only fast chargers where we are up and down the M6 which was handy for a Scotland to London trip. The local 50kw DC chargers are fine and with a home box, I have 200 mile range every morning (nowhere near the figures they quote). I love the spaciousness of the ioniq but this new styled MG is going to smash the market. Why oh why can't car manufacturers make attractive looking cars like this? The tech in the MG looks top notch at half the price of my leased ioniq. My local Scottish council gives free, yes free, EV charging at a car park in town. Perfect for walking to the shops or taking dog for a walk. The lack of rear wiper for the ioniq is a pain though... Why??? Great review, punchy etc... Wish they had a freeze frame with all the stats and any compatiiano..
Not mentioned Vehicle to Load charging capable - useful if blackouts do come this winter (to keep the freezer working) - and rear left for the charging port (matching Tesla) - means not clogging up the parking at an open (to all EVs) Tesla charging station - and no dirty looks from Tesla drivers for parking unconventionally and blocking 2 charging bays - as I do with my Kona… 🤨
C.S, if you are taking 2 Tesla chargers you are parking all wrong I can get mine in between the lines at slight angle with no disruption to any Tesla driver, see the video Modern Heroes he has a picture showing how to charge at Tesla. th-cam.com/video/9OKUXRRL4t0/w-d-xo.html start @5:58
Chorley group confirmed in the MG owners group video on Friday that V2L is standard across the MG4 range … you have to buy an accessory cable to use it. Not sure what the maximum power delivery in kW is though, I think 2.5kW was mentioned for MG5.
@@jamed63 Not sure what that wall box is, but you can buy a discharge cable that plugs in the type 2 of the car, then just has a 3 pin socket on the end like a standard extension cable.
It will be interesting to see how it compares with the Ora Funky Cat. The thing that puts me off the MG is the anti-corrosion warranty is only for a year, then the time and expense of annual body inspections to extend it a year at a time. With VW and Cupra cars the brands have confidence to guarantee them for twelve years straight off the bat. Looks a pretty dark interior and not sure about the two spoke steering wheel, maybe the dual motor next year will have a three spoke sports steering wheel. Possibly the facelift in a few years time will come with a rear wiper.
@Vicor Interesting about the a anti- corrosion warranty. Will look into that. Also MG only give a 7 year warranty on the EV battery unlike the industry standard in UK of 8 years.Confirmed this with MG.

I think you are right, that this car will appeal to many potential ID.3 and Born customers. I am one them: I had my eyes set on the ID.3 but I am strongly considering the MG4. But then is that likely to be a big issue in, say 2 to 3 years time when there are tens of thousands more chargers than there are now? The infrastructure picture is improving all the time. There are 30'000 additional public charging connections being installed in 2022 alone in the UK.... And that 30'000 doesn't take into account what Gridserve and Ionity are doing......Or for that matter Shell, who are installing 50'000 kerbside charge bollards in UK towns and cities by 2025.....
Great review and very informative. This car will hopefully shake-up the EV market in the UK. Well done MG! I understand that the smaller battery is the more durable Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) type (rather than the bigger packs Lithium Ion), so likes 100% charging. For only occasional longer trips that may be the one I'd go for. Makes you realise what the ID3 could have been. If the MG4 has a few scratchy plastics and an infotainment system that actually works, then given the price there is no contest. Also, as battery packs form the single biggest cost of an EV, it makes you wonder where the established car makers are sourcing their batteries from if not from the Chinese suppliers?

For years the gear stick has always been close/near to ones left hand, now with the MG4 EV selector is situated that little bit out of dangling left hand which I feel is perfect because one is not having to change up/down in gears, so yes safety wise I am happy where the forward/reverse drive selector is! With the climate becoming warmer/hotter cloth seats are advisable. I get my MG4 soon.
This MG4 looks so much nicer than the Nissan Leaf and VW ID/Seat Born (in my opinion anyway). This is the second MG4 review video I've watched now - interestingly, the first one didn't mention the lack of rear screen wiper...! But, unless I'm missing something here, from an aero-design context, is it really such a big deal...? I don't know of any saloon cars that have a rear screen wiper, yet no one seems to bat an eyelid at that... Anyhow, that aside, the glaring omission in my opinion is the lack of heated front seats on the SE trim - that really IS a gamechanger in the colder weather and means you don't have to have the car's heating system on quite so high, so preserving some range. Other than that, a cracking car which should sell by the bucket-load...! 👍
Badge snobbery?!!.....This is by mindless sheep who know nothing about the brand and heritage......one of the only 3 foreign marque's to win the Mille Miglia, Le Mans, Speed Records......the lists goes on! Fabled racing drivers such as Stirling Moss, Earl howe, Capt Eyston, Donald Cambell, Tazio Nouvolari ect.........the likes of which VW and other brands (let alone KIA and Hyundai), could only dream about! Oh yes, and Chinese not British?.......in the same way that Jaguar land Rover is Indian and Rolls, Bentley and Mini are German and Vauxhall are French! And to sum it up, the world over is raving about its comparison to the Lamborghini Urus! A brilliant brilliant review by someone who takes the pure essence of a car, and distills it into what makes it great!👍
I got my id3 family pro on high mileage contract for £335 / month. If I wanted ID 3 now, there is no price near this and I wouldn't get one. MG 4 closer to my budget, will not waste more than £350/month on a car.
No body ever mentions that the standard range car has the more resilient LFP battery. Can be fully charged all the time and has twice as many charge/discharge cycles when compared to the usual battery chemistry. I still loved the video though. Thanks Nicki, I have one on order.
@@davidcarradice2866 I had the GT line RWD in red, liked it a lot especially in sport mode, but it did feel a much bigger car to drive, even felt bigger than a previous Insignia estate (which was actually longer) … to the extent that I found I avoided it and took our Zoe when going into town. Loved the front/sides of the EV6 but I was never fully happy with the rear. Sold to a Kia dealer who put it on sale at £49k …
@@JonathanPriceUK I’ve ordered the AWD GTline S. I wanted the GT but wasn’t keen on the colour choice, no sunroof, no elec seats and the range drops dramatically so settled for the above, hope I have made the right choice as I do still love my M3P.
@@davidcarradice2866 Ah .. different spec in your country then … in the UK all EV6s have the large battery, and the GT line has electric seats (at least driver’s seat, can’t remember if passenger seat did), and reasonable frunk on the RWD and V2L adapter and granny charger.
@@fatal_case_of_ligma actually some of the cheaper Hyundai Kona models have wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto - I think they kinda overlaps with the MG 4, price wise.
I like the comments at the end of the video about still wanting to wait 12 months for that ID3 or SEAT BORN. I’ve said if the Chinese can improve both the looks and quality of there cars and can supply they like the Japanese did all those years ago could clear up here. And that’s before BYD start shipping cars over here. The European car makers better get there act together and quickly if they want to keep there market share.
Byd are now coming to the UK, just saw a review of the atto3 👍 I really hope this pushes the market into cheaper more basic cars for people that don't want to spend 30 grand on a car.
I found about these MG´s on John Cadogan´s channel and at AU$ 27,990 or US$ 17,913.60 they are quite affordable. I would think in trading in my aging 2012 Volvo S60T4, albeit, the MG dealer will not take it nor will it carry EV´s. So it´s the gray market here in Costa Rica - and I am game! I quite enjoyed your presentation and the style of the car appeals to me. I am currently burning US$100 per week on my Volvo, which, at 9.8 Kpl seeps fuel using "Intermediate" gasoline.
Doesn't matter what the MSRPs are , $2k, 20k or 25K, when they hit the U.S dealerships..they will all get markups over 47K ... Affordable EVs in the U.S is just a pipedream.
I didn't much care for Nicki's review of the MG ZS EV, as she seemed to be looking down her nose at both the car, and the sort of people that might buy it, but she's definitely redeemed herself with her overt, very cheerful enthusiasm for the MG4 Electric. As to the car itself, it seems to give the ID.3 a good thrashing on styling, perceived quality and most importantly, price. As if the huge price gap between the two cars wasn't already practically impossible for Volkwagen to overcome, the MG4 is also forecast to have markedly superior residual values, meaning it should be available on a fairly bog-standard PCP deal from around £300-350 per month, while an ID.3 on similar terms would be much closer to £600. MG won't have any difficulty selling as many of these as it wants to.
Great review and now in August 2024, some of the issues highlighted have been addressed. MG have a very stylish and efficient car. The only areas that need addressing is the interior. Bigger and better looking infotainment system, bigger screen for driver information, wireless connection (no cables, very dated). A light in the passenger area, how mean can you get? and an arm rest, on the back seat. MG you have made a brilliant car, just a few things let it down.
Excellent review to tell me exactly what I needed to know. This is the price range I've been waiting for to finally get my parents a decently priced EV with a good driving range.
interestingly your long range test model seems to have privacy glass in the rear windows, but, that's only on the Trophy according to MG's specs? (so it'll be even better value if they have included it as standard on the LR model as well)
You’ll be surprised how many EV’s and ice cars don’t have rear wipers! Tesla’s, Ioniq Electric etc. My Ioniq electric doesn’t need one as once you start drinking the rear window clears to dry very fast and then rain doesn’t settle when driving. Plus, one less wiper to service as well as helps reduce drag coefficient
I like the design, but I wished it had a reversing camera on base model and a rear wiper. To reverse off or on to my drive at home is awkward and rely on my camera. Plus, my rear window gets filthy and uses rear wiper a lot, but overall, it looks great.
the only thing I find annoying is having to enter the menu from the display to change the driving modes. I know there is a programmable button on the steering wheel, can't you program the one to navigate between driving modes?
Again, no ski hatch and can't put roof box on it 😩 No way this is going to sell big in Scandinavia or snowy countries. And this is not only MG's problem.
@@olddaysareover That is incorrect my friend. Just tested ZS and it can take roof box where you could put skiis, snowboard etc. Ski hatch is just more easier to put like one snowboard in and slope down.
Great looking, stylishly presented & very smooth & sleek. 🥰 Now onto the car…😁 I love it! The looks are superb. Missing paddles, a rear wiper, reversing camera & front heated seats though…😢
Don’t see why you couldn’t use the soft roof bars to attach a roof box if you wanted to … I bought some recently Silverline brand) and they are rated to 80Kgs. They strap to the roof with straps inside the car. Should be ok for occasional use. I bought this type because I have been changing cars frequently recently, as current EV values permit.
interested to know if using the app to preheat the car, presumably by using its heat pump if that will clear condensation and or ice as apparently there isn't a rear window demister or wiper on the car?
00:13 If you pretend to be the only place e-car lovers need, you should have mentioned that the small battery version has most probably LFP. This is crucial infirmation.
@@bikeman123 Tesla also doesn't mention that their standard Model 3 has LFP, and yet everybody knows that it has in the past 2 years and that is crucial information, for how fire proof the battery is for example. MG specify that their smaller battery is very long lasting, but doesn't mention that for the other battery. Tesla doesn't even mention the capacity of their batteries, or that some come from LG, Panasonic or CATL. And yet there are big differences between them. #smartass
It's a good looking car. I se a lot Lexus CT200h in the outside design. We have a CT as our small runabout, and I love that car in all its querky detail. Maybe the MG4 could convince me to part with the CT? PS! I like the Allegro styled staring wheel.
The lack of regen paddles sounded like a design oversight but while watching this video th-cam.com/video/-1k6jQs6pv8/w-d-xo.html (at the 1:50 ish mark) it's stated that you can remap the steering wheel buttons to change regen levels. Not an ideal solution but still better then faffing in a menu.
She also said the adaptive regen mode uses the front radar so I'm guessing if it doesn't detect any cars in front of you it will switch to near coasting to be more efficient and apply strong regen when it detects cars in front of you to keep a safe distance ?
My Dacia jogger has one star ncap and has a rear wiper. But mine carries 7 people in comfort without any electronic nonsense on it waiting to go wrong. And I could buy two for the price of the mg
I think the guys and girls presenting these EV reviews are massively out of touch in terms of bhp. The 2006 to 2010 Honda Civic Type R, generally considered to be a bit of a beast, is 200bhp. I get that there’s other EVs out there that have silly bhp figures (albeit with a silly price tag to match) but to say that a 175 or 200bhp car is “just alright” is a bit ludicrous! Happy to take them for a spin around the Brecon Beacons to show them just how rapid a 200bhp car is 😂
Bear in mind that EVs are - typically - a fair bit heavier than an ICE vehicle (especially for smaller ones like hatchbacks)... so potentially need a bit more power to get equivalent performance (there was reference to this in the video, where they pointed out the small-battery model got less power, but still had the same performance numbers, because it was lightly)
@@logicalChimp the 2006 Honda Civic Type R did 0-60mph in 8.5 seconds. The 175bhp version of the MG4 does the same in 7.7 seconds. The 200bhp version does it a smidge slower because it’s a bit heavier. The weight is offset by the fact that the motors have endless torque and will have the same acceleration up the side of a mountain… As I said, get a grip on the bhp figures!!!
The infrastructure for pure electric cars in the UK is no where near ready. If you are going to and from work and charge at home then you are fine. Until the infrastructure is better , I will stick with a hybrid.
That orange car has a real Lamborghini vibe to it. Might be worth remembering that the long range battery is on par with the standard range ID3 battery (60kwh). Be interesting to see what real world range is though.
Not sure I could live with that centre console thing jutting out......the rear light arrangement looks over-stylised and weird... and within a split second of seeing the headlight/nose area, it instantly reminded me of a duck's beak.... That said, it will be popular because it offers tremendous value. Lots of bang for your buck..... The Mk 1 Nissan Leaf sold well, despite it's Miss Marple looks.... This new MG meets the current Leaf head on......
The new leaf is still air cooled battery so suffers from battery gate, and the battery won't be so long lasting as it is not temperature controlled properly. Don't get a leaf.
What's with electric cars not being able to fit roof racks? The ID3's the same. It's such a useful thing to increase the luggage capacity of a small car for the odd occasion you need to carry a big load.
No blind spot monitor in the base model? That's clearly a marketing decision, as the delta cost would be trivial. Same wiring harness, same software, same wing mirrors except for the glass. Marketing decisions should not impact safety.
But of course electricity at 4 times the price, also means it'll cost much more to extract and refine oil, so pump prices will rocket too.....only this time we may well see the £3.00 litre of petrol. The EV will always retain it's running cost advantage.....
€30,000 _ €35,000 here in Spain ,wow, bugger off VW and Tesla. I don't need to go 0-60mph in 3 secs every time I get in a car. I just need to go from A to B in comfort without having my eyeballs taken out on price. Gonna be a massive hit all over the UK and Europe 👍👍👍👍

@@angela1984a I didn't know that, thank you.
There’s always a second hand or third hand Tesla 3 you could consider in America. It’s a normal thing for most of us to do now

So when everyone is clamouring for the "affordable, practical EV" you're suggesting they add £10-15k to the price?
@@rogerstarkey5390 not everyone, I want the performance version of this car to replace my ZS. They are supplying the more affordable version first though.
After 3 yr with the model 3 performance, I fancied a change and have ordered Trophy MG4, providing the used car prices remained as firm as current market prices, I’ll probably upgrade my Trophy to the hi performance MG4!
Thank you for mentioning the rear wiper. Really bugs me that it seems to be disappearing from new cars
Rear wiper is so underrated until you don't have one 😞
Add a bit of water repellant film. Helps a lot.
Who on earth made this decision, hatchback cars have rear wiper saloons mainly don't. That would bug me too much.
Great that we start to see good affordable evs

The center console is the same for LHD and RHD models, that's why the gear selector is quite far to reach for RHD models.
I would consider MG when a newer SUV comes to market but not the ‘4’ because it is too low for my old back. But I’d give the car 4.5 out of 5.

I have moved this to the top of my shortlist, right size and range and much cheaper than the alternatives but its not officially anounced for Australia yet.
A brilliant brilliant review by someone who takes the pure essence of a car, and distills it into what makes it great!👍
Nice and a very competitive price 👍
I got my id3 family pro on high mileage contract for £335 / month. If I wanted ID 3 now, there is no price near this and I wouldn't get one. MG 4 closer to my budget, will not waste more than £350/month on a car.

This is a game changer. Now get them to do a MG restyle on the Wuling and get it on sale here at under £8000.That really would boost take up .
Much better than in photo, the interior is so modern but i prefer the interior of MG5.

About to get my first EV (MG4) and finding your videos so helpful in getting my head ready. thanks for all the guidance!
interestingly your long range test model seems to have privacy glass in the rear windows, but, that's only on the Trophy according to MG's specs? (so it'll be even better value if they have included it as standard on the LR model as well)
Will it be possible to have a Heat Pump as optional extra?
The reason the gear selector favours passenger side is because in China and most markets. The driver is on the left
Yep that's right, but strangely they did reverse the order of the buttons below the screen for right hand drive.
Does the foot brake initiate regen first or go straight to friction braking?
Definitely not just you. Spot on with the Kia/Leaf vibes!
the only thing I find annoying is having to enter the menu from the display to change the driving modes. I know there is a programmable button on the steering wheel, can't you program the one to navigate between driving modes?
It's a really nice package. But. The entry level Fisker Ocean is only slightly more expensive and much larger. I think that is the game changer.

@@JonathanPriceUK would depend on why a roof rack is "banned" on the MG4. Sounds pretty ominous, even for your solution.

That is exactly what MG are hoping....

Does the MG4 have electrically adjusted drivers seat and are they heated.
The RND selector is situated perfectly for left hand drive
What's pretty disgusting IMO is charging so much more for saftey features that should be standard. Companies need to stop that.
00:13 If you pretend to be the only place e-car lovers need, you should have mentioned that the small battery version has most probably LFP. This is crucial infirmation.
Most probably? So you're guessing then. The MG website doesn't mention this important fact either.
@@bikeman123 Tesla also doesn't mention that their standard Model 3 has LFP, and yet everybody knows that it has in the past 2 years and that is crucial information, for how fire proof the battery is for example.

Can't wait to buy one in 10-15years from now if someone brings MG's to Finland.
It's a good looking car. I se a lot Lexus CT200h in the outside design. We have a CT as our small runabout, and I love that car in all its querky detail. Maybe the MG4 could convince me to part with the CT? PS! I like the Allegro styled staring wheel.

The design looks confused
does that flat area near the USB cables come off to arrange the cables? If so maybe someone will come up with a wireless pad that will fit in there?

The 175bhp version of the MG4
does the same in 7.7 seconds. The 200bhp version does it a smidge slower because it’s a bit heavier.
The weight is offset by the fact that the motors have endless torque and will have the same acceleration up the side of a mountain…
As I said, get a grip on the bhp figures!!!
I suspect there will be a year long queuing for this soon enough. Especially if MG doesn't have more stock coming faster.
The infrastructure for pure electric cars in the UK is no where near ready. If you are going to and from work and charge at home then you are fine. Until the infrastructure is better , I will stick with a hybrid.

Might be worth remembering that the long range battery is on par with the standard range ID3 battery (60kwh). Be interesting to see what real world range is though.
MG4 clearly knocked out the ID3 but the similarly priced Volvo EX30 is still in the ring.
Finally a rear wheel drive affordable EV and man AWD would be nice.
@@Tom55data I have no intention of getting a Leaf...... I have a Kia eNiro.......
What's with electric cars not being able to fit roof racks? The ID3's the same. It's such a useful thing to increase the luggage capacity of a small car for the odd occasion you need to carry a big load.
The id4 has copied the interior of the MG - not the other way round. I have enjoyed this interior on an MG for 4 years.
I do agree with you on the position of the drive selector.
This is gonna destroy the ID3
for me the rear is more reminiscent of the toyota prius instead of the nissan leaf
No blind spot monitor in the base model? That's clearly a marketing decision, as the delta cost would be trivial. Same wiring harness, same software, same wing mirrors except for the glass. Marketing decisions should not impact safety.
Great we're all going electric just as they're quadrupling the price of electricity.
Still a lot cheaper than diesel or petrol.
But of course electricity at 4 times the price, also means it'll cost much more to extract and refine oil, so pump prices will rocket too.....only this time we may well see the £3.00 litre of petrol. The EV will always retain it's running cost advantage.....
Liked the video, with great comments.
How does this car compare to a Renault Zoe?
