THIS is the lesson i've been needing. I find jump way too quickly into what the damage is but doing so doesn't establish myself as a professional nor does it create a sense of urgency in the HO

I gamble too much and can't stop. It's ruined my life. Cool videos. I've done door to door roofing a few years back and had some mild success but the industry is too competitive. There's fresh hail damage so im giving it a shot but it's insane how everyone is telling me they have a roofer. It's even more competitive than I remember.

The word that stuck out to me about this was "manipulated". lol. Roof selling feels icky, and I think that's what people hate the most. The hardest part is taking the "ickiness" away, and even the best salespeople find this difficult. Bc the longer people stay in sales, the less they can hear themselves. Because anytime they "win", whether it's bc they sold something the client "needed", or managed sell a ketchup popsicle, it's deemed as a win. It's a struggle. Interesting video.

Sales people are talent-less parasites that add extra expense with negligible benefits. Sure, a spokesperson can do well to educate a consumer about a product, and guide them on how to best serve their personal needs, but un-warranted door-to-door sales should be considered trespassing, in nearly EVERY EXAMPLE. This manipulation professional is right about one thing; good customers will own responsibility for their needs and will seek necessary solutions on their own. Just provide truthful information about what your selling, so the customer has realistic expectations of what they are CHOOSING to pay for. People have way too much informational resources on tap to still need solicitors to peddle wares. Learn a real skill and provide tangible services to become a useful human. Sales people, get fucked.
