I added 4 rubber rings between fan and case, so the fan flouting above the plastic shelf just 0.3mm. And the noise of the fan is way less noticeable, because the thing is, that the PS5’s case, resonates and amplifies the fan vibrations. So when fan is placed on rubber rings, there is no resonating.
Mine was much louder laying horizontal than standing vertical. Maybe also some resonance thing with how it's build and my cheap wooden table or so. My PS5 Pro mainly makes temporary noise when it turns on while there is a disc in the drive as if it is reading / loading the game, the sound stops after 1min. Is anyone an idea or normal? I've never heard my series X do this before.
Hi all thanks for the reactions, and it seems to be normal but it gives a remarkable amount of sound, in addition it is also placed lying down and on a metal plate which enhances the effect.
ps5 and ps5 pro has same noise to me. i have ps5 original , ps5 slim and ps5 pro and theres no difference to me. the disc drives all look the same even the original which is not detachable seems to be a similar build. i do find those drives quite noisy. the fans dont make so much noise to me. i even added a stand with a fan and another fan kit behind the ps5 slim and its not annoying to me. for sure the ps5 consoles do make noise and alot more when you insert a disc from my experience. i did notice that the original ps5 seems to get very hot compared to the others. maybe its just mine so i cannot say for others. if you want a silent experience , the xbox series x makes less noise. personally the ps5 noise is not a problem.
No way that's accurate! That's probably measured with an old iphone or something, because the PRO sits around 42-43dB with propper equipment used to measure, and the Series X which is ALOT quieter sits around 39dB. And as sound is a logarithmic scale 38dB is vastly more silent than 42!

Infatti mi hanno rifiutato la richiesta di riparazione perché non ha nulla di rotto, il rumore purtroppo è dovuto dal modello di ventola

Much louder than my old PS4 Pro... edit: the digital the monitor reads 87.2 Fahrenheit behind the PS5 Pro. I'm completely lost and wonder should I return it
My PS5 Pro mainly makes temporary noise when it turns on while there is a disc in the drive as if it is reading / loading the game, the sound stops after 1min.
Is anyone an idea or normal?
I've never heard my series X do this before.
Sounds pretty normal.
Switch it on😂😂😂
It's a normal part of their authentication process. It'll also check the disc every hour or so to make sure it's still there.
Perfectly normal as mine does the same. Only difference for me is the boot up on the pro is louder then ps5 disc wise and fan wise.
Hi all thanks for the reactions, and it seems to be normal but it gives a remarkable amount of sound, in addition it is also placed lying down and on a metal plate which enhances the effect.
The PS5 Pro is just a slightly overclocked regular PS5 with FSR3
I have the pro and ps5 and they are both quite.
Mine is quiet, can only hear rhe fan playing horizon forbidden west less then 1 ft away
my one is same coil whine is scary when play some COD during nighttime very noticeable
ps5 and ps5 pro has same noise to me. i have ps5 original , ps5 slim and ps5 pro and theres no difference to me. the disc drives all look the same even the original which is not detachable seems to be a similar build. i do find those drives quite noisy. the fans dont make so much noise to me. i even added a stand with a fan and another fan kit behind the ps5 slim and its not annoying to me. for sure the ps5 consoles do make noise and alot more when you insert a disc from my experience. i did notice that the original ps5 seems to get very hot compared to the others. maybe its just mine so i cannot say for others. if you want a silent experience , the xbox series x makes less noise. personally the ps5 noise is not a problem.
I’m getting 31-33 decibels even in CoD on my PS5 pro. So I’d say it sounds just about like my base launch PS5 (I’m in North America)
No way that's accurate! That's probably measured with an old iphone or something, because the PRO sits around 42-43dB with propper equipment used to measure, and the Series X which is ALOT quieter sits around 39dB. And as sound is a logarithmic scale 38dB is vastly more silent than 42!
@ iPhone 13 Pro Max. I’m getting 31-33 dB (guy in the video is using the
Same app I am)
@@TopG-1991 Yes, it can be that the mic in the phone is cheap. I have a cheap vivo and it can't measure like the my mothers phone and my Pro was like 60 very close and some cm away it was like mid 50's to high 50's in game. Tried 2 different apps, pretty similar result. For sure I returned this truck with alarm sound mixed somehow disguised as a PS5 Pro.
@@TopG-1991Tip in "This is how loud a PS5 Pro actually gets" in TH-cam. 42 is maybe if you have it vertical and put the device on the front or side on the ground where it stands.
Hi Rob, I would've tested with a 100gb+ game like call of duty.
I don't play Call of Duty, also F1 24 is Pro Enhanced so would be using the Pro features rather than just playing a regular PS5 game. It was an interesting test regardless 🙂
My ps5pro is whisper quiet, to the point where I would question if it even has a fan
lol same.
I know mine, too.
All them videos pointless I don't hear anything from any of my PS5 systems and my pro plus If you have the TV off you're not going to hear anything or if you're a headset on you're not going to hear anything so I don't know what the hell people talking about
Same 😂. I'm like if anyone got a defective one. Let's pray for them lol
Nah you just didn't play the stuff that triggers it
I haven’t heard any noise from mine. My launch ps5 was noisy though. Still not bothersome but definitely Audible
Much quieter than my PS4 Pro and certainly not loud so I'm ok. I guess I was pushing it on HFW but didn't notice it really.
I had the delta fan on my first PS5 Pro. It sounded like this:
th-cam.com/video/_RSKj5umsP0/w-d-xo.html
Despite the game sound, I could clearly hear the unpleasant operating noise even at a distance of 3 meters.
I returned the console and bought another PS5 Pro. This has now the Foxconn fan installed. The console is much more comfortable than the first one with the delta fan. But it's definitely louder than my DayOne PS5
Welcome to OCD club people😂
Cómo los productos los hacen ahora desechables mal hechos
took only a week to get reports of loud ps5 pro fans lol
I got mine yesterday fan quiet . Woke up just now fan loud
I think different power sources attribute to this. No big deal so as long as the Pro works. I have yet to hear the coil whine though...that one is odd.
People are trolling like always
They’ve have nothing to do with their life but trolling or lying.
@@mwfcod0932I just got mine was fine yesterday then today the fan is loud
You're taking this stuff way too seriously 🤣
Non-stop they are.
It’s not trolling many people wouldn’t be here complaining about the noise 😂
My Pro is insanely quiet. I can’t hear it unless I’m standing in front of it, or with my ear close up.
@@TypicallyUniqueOfficial Mines sits right next to me, and unless I look for the sound and/or put my ear really close to it, I will hear it without coil whine. So I guess it's normal and for the most part quiet enough.
You should probably go have your ears checked then, because if you can't hear 42dB of noise (which the PRO emits) then you'll need hearing aid!
@@TopG-1991 my Pro doesn’t run at 42 decibels you monkey. To assume everyone of them does shows your intelligence level (low).
frankly I have it at home the pro and it makes less noise than my ps5 fat
I cannot hear my PS5 Pro at all
It's so quiet, it's like it's not even on lol
Bizarrely my Pro started running a lot quieter today - making me wonder is there was some kind of bedding in period , or update that happened in the background I missed. All good though!
@@honestrob How is it 2 days after this ?
I noticed an improvement to fan noise on my base ps5 when Sony did an update a few months from launch so I’m guessing same could be done with pro
Gosh the noise bugs me so much, why are we going backwards again with the noise? Damn it Sony!
The base PS5 seems to have had more thought put into the engineering but when you’re paying £700 for a console you expect the same level or better than the £480 system.
Fake news!!
I wonder how many decibels my fart is. I think it varies from very loud farts to SBD farts LOL having said that I think I need to fart now
Totally game dependent..some games will push it more than other's
Bro what are you talking about there’s no disk on ps5 pro and if you get the disk drive it’s gonna make more noise because it’s not built into the console
'Bro' what are YOU talking about? When did he ever mention anything about a physical disc drive on the Pro??
Lol, the dreaded pro fan noise. My ps4 pro didn’t start making the rocket 🚀 sounds for three years. It’s been what 7 days. Lol PlayStation needs to get there products right before releasing a 1000 dollar system.
@@reddeaddylan1606 Calm down. This isn't an intro for you to talk shit about the Pro just yet 😂. They still work and as you can see, it depends on the person and their sensitivity to noise level. Also, I think there's a psychological factor in there as well. The sound gets louder as you worry about the invisible possibilities of what could be wrong with it, if anything is wrong at all. Which I can assure you, most likely there is nothing wrong. At least not yet and mines still operates as normal after opening it up and checking; fresh and clean and dust free and everything. The coil whine tho, that could be subjective as some might not really know what that sounds like. I listened to mine on several occasions and still don't consider the noise I hear as having any type of coil whine, while others might say differently if they heard mines. But as I've said before...
As long as that mf still works and the fans do their job, I'm deafen to the noise and gamin happily. Def goin to after my workout!
Loader with dic ps5pro..
None of this matters if you’re wearing a headset
