I am 100%t getting the Pro. But i'm definitely going to wait a few months in 2025. Untill I move into my new place. The price is reasonable when you consider all the parts and hardware. It used to create it. Why should Sony sell at a loss, that doesn't make sense. There's no point in acknowledging any complaints. They just can't afford it. don't know a single person switching, but then i don't know a single person who freaks the fuck out over dropping 20 frames when they're running at 120 fps base anyway, thats a lot of wiggle room to bottom out at 60 (which i never do). The fact PC player numbers have gotten large enough that sony can't ignore it should tell you all you need to know. It's all preference but if your friends are having that much trouble getting games to work on PC, they are doing something fundamentally wrong, i built my PC 3 years ago and don't have to troubleshoot anything, i just push play

700 for console and 4 years psn 60x4= 240 4 years is estimate till next upgrade ps6 in 2028 £940 is the real cost of ps5 pro You can build a pc with 3070 gpu that matches the ps5 pro for £800 with off the shelf parts, literally amazon prices and if you hunt around you can get better deals I dont recommend building budget pc if you gonna build do it proper or just get console and have bonus of better game optimisation but you stuck with monthly subscription Sony likely makin 30% profit per system, they could defo sell the pro for 500 if they wanted to breakeven since they getting wholesale price on their system

Its nice to see the upscaling in the ps5 pro doing the consoles some justice and 4k @ 60 can be very demanding for most pc builds, however i doubt if ill be paying 700 for one , I'm happy with my subscription free gaming on pc and getting cheap deals on games via cd keys is easier on my wallet . my 4070 ti does me for now . enjoy your ps5 pro everyone.

Not really I decided against a PS5 Pro and upgraded my GPU to a 4080 super which knocks the socks off PS5 pro. Maxed out cyber punk 2077 at 4K with ray tracing overdrive and path tracing at about 70 to 80 fps. Yeah I am well gutted PS5 can do RT at 1200p 30 fps. It's old tech pretty much the PS5 pro lol Zen 2 CPU. It will still struggle with UE5 games. Plus when RDNA 4 launches in january AMD will be more powerful let alone Nvidia lol PSSR is FSR4. But with a shite CPU attached.

When I got my ps4, I used the XIM4 to get used to a mouse and keyboard before switching over to pc. On COD I met 2 people who were former pc players and they told me that they switched back to console because pc is a hassle. Despite hearing their stories I got a pc. Tinkering with settings, making sure to have the right drivers installed, troubleshooting older games, dealing with broken/stuttery pc ports was a real hassle. By the time ps5 came around I had the choice of upgrading my pc or getting a ps5. But I had enough of pc at that point, so I got a ps5, a year of ps+ and played all the bangers I missed from the ps4 generation. Never again will I get a pc for gaming. The biggest thing I liked on pc was I took some game development courses and I’m really happy that it opened my eyes to just how hard game development really is. My favourite scene I was able to create was my Grandma’s old farm.
