@@Tronicsfixits not easy doing filming and editing on top of repairing and running a business. You make it look easy though which shows your expertise :D Glad you are doing better! I wish we had more small electronics parts stores tbh. Hopefully right to repair helps bring that kind of stuff back.
Do you ever sit back and just wonder what on Earth some people do to their consoles to make them so dirty, scuffed and gross? I mean, you barely have to touch the thing for normal operations! Some look like they've been drop kicked!
@GrundleGrump the only thing I can think of is the household is dirty and the drop kicked once could be due to children. however some people could just rage that hard 💀
I don't get it either... These consoles are some of the most abused electronics. It sits next to the TV, yet people beat them up, get them filthy, and break HDMI ports all the time...
FWIW, Xbox allows you to select whether or not the startup sound plays via controller and front button. You can also select the brightness of the controller and console LED.
I found myself crying watching this video, Steve is such a good person. I have learned so many lessons and things from his videos, it is comforting to see that he is better and well...
Console #8: I HATE when stuff does this. When it was broken and then mysteriously fixes itself because it'll always be in the back of your mind that it might still be broken. You'll never trust using it and that anxiety that it'll break again will make you stop using it or at least not enjoy using it anymore. I'd much rather something be broken, identify the problem and then fix the problem.
Had the same issue with a piece of code failing for months and we couldn’t figure out why. Suddenly it started running fine. And we didn’t change anything. It’s been a few years and it still haunts me.
I am very happy because you seem to be recovering from cancer, nice video GG for all these repairs, I would like you to make videos again on ps5 controller repairs
Love these long format videos with just load of different consoles to fix. Looking forward to seeing if there's a TronicsLong version 😅. Looking well Steve! Love from the UK.
4:31 you can actually disable the console beeps/sounds in settings on the console, you can do this on every Xbox after the Xbox One. Regardless of whether that's actually the case here (haven't watched yet) that's definitely something to keep in mind!
super happy & grateful you look healthy again!! i love your videos and have watched them for many years, they’re very calm and relaxing lol. thank you for all that you do:))
Pin 6 on the HDMI connector on console number 4 is lose, you can see the pin flexes to the right when you put pressure on it. Look at time mark 36min22sec better to catch it now then have to fix it later, always nice to see your videos keep up the great work.
just taking a moment to say that i love how you are getting healthier with every video, as well as i've appreciate your constant effort with the channel during your fight, i hope you and your family can stay well in the future (sorry english is not my language)
Well children for one. Mine was fine till literally yesterday. It isn't broken, but my hdmi cable is now kinda loose because my son stepped on the cable and ripped it out the back.
@@TheJoebob34 I always thought that people would throw their console down. But of course, stepping on the cable happens quickly. I'm glad it still works. Sometimes you need a bit of luck 🤞
They move the console around, then they yank the cable or someone trips over the cable. There's also an design problem with the HDMI port, it's too soft.
Hey there Steve how's it going man hopefully fantastic, I just saw the video explaining why you decided to go baled and wow BRO talk about a scare, and I just saw your recovery video ,just wanted to say that during that time I was saying a prayer for you and I'm glad that God answered it ,I must admit that I was kinda worried there I didn't want to see you go , the fix it community wouldn't have been the same anymore I'm glad that God added the perfect amount of thermal peast to you ,always stay blessed Steve ,I'm glad that your back 🙏💯👐 !
Brother, you look much healthier! I really hope you're feeling as good as you look! Always love watching your videos. Im not very tech savvy, so i love to watch your videos to attempt to learn more 😅😅😅. Much love, brother!
Love your content and glad to see you looking healthier 😊 you inspired me to try some repairs myself and I'm quite enjoying it. Granted I am starting small and fixing controllers only atm but hope to gain more knowledge and move onto biggers things soon!
35:00 it's easier if you have the board with the HDMI port above, then hanging the edge of the board off the side of the table so you can heat the port from underneath and remove the port with tweezers. This way you can see if all pins are molten enough to lift the whole port at once. And leaving it in that position allows for you to drop in the new port.
Thanks Steve, glad to see you are doing better. juat a FYI, the links for BW-100 are for out of stock products. And looks like have been for sometime now.
Finally full length videos at a more frequent releasing. I know what was going on with your health and can understand the shorts. But getting notifications and watching recycled clips was getting boring.
Been following your channel for a couple of years , hobby fixer here to techs and always learning new ways trough your videos as I take a relaxing coffee with it 🙂☕. But i mainly wanted to give my best wishes and regarding your " spiritual" journey after fighting thesame " battle " as you , love to see how you beaten this too and looking stronger video after video , take care ✨🕊️ .
I love watching your videos, and I'm happy to see that your health is improving. You fix so many of these game consoles, I believe I might give it a try. LOL
brother, i want to ask you , how are you now? I was very sad to hear you where sick. I love also your videos but more of that i love you to see you healthy.
Reminds me of your old videos when you bought a X amount of game consoles whether it be PS4, Xbox Ones, etc. Now I have another video to relax with. Glad you are looking like normal Steve
when you soldering hdmi ports or anything else... let the gravity to make it easy for you! put the board with hdmi port pointing the up side and heat with hot air from the bottom side.. and also, for better results, put a little bit of flux before putting the new hdmi port (it`s preventing to get "cold" soldering joints)
The hardest thing for me when i start fixing stuff is fighting this damn industry solder. Even on something as simple as replacing sticks on my xbox elite series 1 controller this eats the most time and is prone to most of my errors so far. :/ Kudos for your skills :) And good to see you're getting your hair back :D
Still remembered back in 2020, watched bunch of Consoles Repair. And having weird idea about "giveaway" 😅. Anyway, that was also the first time I started loving all about Electronic repair 😅
hey Tronicsfix love the videos! also with the xbox in the settings you can turn off the xbox and disk drive chime so maybe the people who had them had them had turned them off. if they are still logged in and not factory reset i think but you can turn off the chime [i have for mine] have a amazing one! keep up the great work!
Hey TronicsFix - I love your videos. You do a great job walking us through the process and make it look so easy. I’d love to give it a try (then probably send it to you to fix what I broke.) Do you have any videos about where you find/buy the things you break? It seems like everything on eBay that’s broken is way overpriced. I’m okay with thin margins as I just want to see if I can do it but I don’t want to LOSE money on the deal!
This is exactly the type of video I love watching. It's good to see you are healthy again.
So glad you like these. They take forever to film, lol
Don't know how much you paid, but it looks like you will likely with the video made and the amount you fixed make a decent profit.

Any thing could led to that broken console!
Lol, yeah, I wonder that sometimes

Ah, so a factory reset would being it back
@volvo09 no you don't have too you can turn it back on in settings
Same for my Xbox one, I could change led brightness or no light also I could disable start up chime

But other than that keep it up as always ✨️👍
What is with the people that so many HDMI-ports are broken? I had so many consoles and there were never peoblems like this
