Beethoven would compose in the morning, and after lunch, take walks in deep in the countryside. Humming to himself, scribbling ideas onto pocketed bits of paper or even the bark of trees. The shadowy woods and rolling hills filled Beethoven's heart and gave us this great work.
his nine symphonies are unique jewels in the music history, each one of them describes a part of Beethoven life and soul (same happens with his 32 piano sonatas). But if you truly want to apreciate his genius at the highest level, you have to listen to his Missa solemnis in D Major op. 123.
The beautiful images fit the fabulous music perfectly! The Pastoral Symphony reflects Beethoven's pantheistic views, and is a true Hymn to Nature. No composer could have done it better.
I don't know...how do you rank the greatest works in the classical music realm? Without a doubt, the entire 6th is astonishing, and must be placed rightly at the very top. If there is a God who touches humankind at times in a special way, Beethoven was among those chosen few.
Yes I do feel and agree with you whenever I listen to this 4th and 5th... perfectly ascribed the nature and composed it as real as it can. God touched Beethoven.
Absolutely. God spoke through Beethoven. In no words but only through his genius musical ability. Beethoven is truly one of the greatest composers that ever lived.
@@chrisclr Well now.......music is great and conveys so much. I guess God is able to use it to great effect, inclding tunes neither we nor beethoven nor anyone else could ever imagine
If there is a Heaven, I fully expect this, the 3rd Movement of the Ninth Symphony, and a bunch of early Yes songs to usher me into it when my time comes.
Generally I use the storm movement on my CD clock radio if I have to set an alarm in the middle of the day, because it's the least likely movement to be used on its own in a TH-cam video.
4th movement of the 6th is the best music EVER created. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS THE TITLE AND ARTIST ON THAT GLORIOUS PAINTING THAT APPEARS BETWEEN 2:45 mins. and 3:00 mins. ????? It is so STRIKING I have to get a copy of it...
@geoadvocate Good to hear. All you need now is a projector powerful enough to display the video like the Batman logo in the movies and a powerful stereo. ಠ_ಠ lol
@Megingiard With Google, namedropping some painters, and using some imagination for trying to find appropiate ones to match whatever it is im putting together.

Why would 11 people look for Beethoven music then give it a thumbs down?
That last movement! It opens a whole new world to me.
and after the storm, one of the most graphic pieces of music ever written, comes the calm
A vast engine of beauty.
The most underrated symphony. In my opinion this is the work that proves the genius of Beethoven not 5th or 9th
Other underrated symphonies are the second and eighth.

If I had only one of his symphonies to hear before I died, no question this one, and the final movement of all 5 of its movements.
Absolute genius is right! He had such passion, unparalleled!🎶🎶🎶🎵🎵🎵🎵
The 6th, the 9th and the 5th symphonies are my favourites
It is a movement of music which drove forward all music forever!
so uplifting , brings me very old childhood countryside memories
Ah, Ludwig Van. Such a brilliant composer.
Beautiful pictures...
La tormenta y la calma representan estos movimientos. Qué talento de Beethoven, siempre siempre insuperable¡¡¡¡
The images fit the music perfectly.
Listening to this symphony guarantees a complete sensory experience. It's incredible.
1:10 "YOU'RE DARN-TOOTIN' I'M ANGRY! I'VE NEVER BEEN THIS ANGRY IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!"
My favourite part.
What a wonderful tone poem Beethoven's 6th symphony is. As a lover of nature, I totally get what it's all about.

And so this evening I'm listening to....Huey Lewis and the News:)
I think the same way...he'd spoke directly to God..

grandiosa, il temporale e poi l'arrivo dell'inevitabile sole.... la speranza che accomuna tutti noi
an earthy, out-of-fashion, moving pastoral. has to be one of the best
Opus 68, essa sinfonia purifica a alma.
Ithink beethoven never human ithink angel from the heaven
