- Team Godolphin unleashed an exciting prospect in the Unibet Novice Stakes at Kempton Park as 2 million guineas buy El Cordobes opened his account at the second time of asking in the mile event.
The son of Frankel readily skipped clear in the closing stages to record a two-length win over 80/1 chance Morning Light who stayed on well to take second, a neck ahead of Condor Pasa (5/2).

Frankel's bloodline doesn't fail to impress💯👍
Very straightforward and uncomplicated. A good one.
Few of those are already in my notebook. Some winners will come from that race, and perhaps one or two very, very good prospects.
Agreed

Love these class 5 novice races , A nice 355 times the money trifecta landed. blinkers first time on the runner up. Ralph was right when he said big improvement.
There was a horse called Popcorn Magic that was put down at the 7.30 race
Odds on fav too
Its only Kempton hardly the Breeders Cup meeting
Future Cheltenham bumper winner
He's Keen just like his dad was, Get him the figure 8 to keep him calm. He settles good once in behind a few horses. I need to see more
🎉❤yes don't we all 🥰
I think think he s a snip ❤
@@kenmonks7285 Nooooo. Don't snip him just yet. He's not overly big for his age. He's not bullish just keen. Sir Henry talked about frankel doing the same sort of stuff just wanting to get the race over.
@@sionrouge1697I hope not, Godolphin seems a little bit too quick to give them the cut, I did actually see a video with Brough Scott were he claimed that they did at one time consider gelding Frankel in his early days.
@@nightowl7459 That would have been HORRIBLE
Machine 👍
Condor Pasa made a nice debut 👌
Jock had him too far back. Once He saw light He ran through it. If he were closer to the leaders He would have won. I like his kick and willingness to pass horses.
@@sionrouge1697I'm not sure? He was a little bit far back and travelling well, but he got on terms with the winner and was close enough but not good enough to go on, maybe next time?
@@nightowl7459Too much to do margins are thin got to be quick and smart to win such races.
I liked what I see from both
@@leehoward8570 Yeah, he was given a little bit to do, but he practically got besides the winner with a furlong to go, but it was his first race and the winners second, I just think that the winner will be a little bit better over a longer distance.
This son of the legendary Frankel is a chip off the block!! Great Job!!
Won easy but didn’t show that premium acceleration needed to win the biggest prizes!
I'm not sure it was a occasion for premium acceleration?
@@nightowl7459AW at Kempton? I'm not sure it was any kind of occasion at all!
@@marcusprice3199 True, but they do have to start somewhere? I know Appleby' and Gosden aren't shy about sending horse to all weather tracks to get a run into them and give them experience, I do know that this particular horse was meant to be running last year on turf but they withdrew him from the race and was meant to be running five weeks ago, but he was scratched from the race on the morning of the race, obviously they have been keen to race him somewhere, he will most possibly turn out to be nothing as most often do, but we won't know more about him until he has raced again against better opposition and hopefully on turf?
At 1.9 million he'll have to win some very big races to recoup it
Godolphin own it, they don't care about the money.
@@galdessa1They certainly do. They'll eventually get their money out of stud fees.
Racing is immaterial its breeding money to keep these people in immense wealth
id be gutted if that was my 1.9 mill
Why, if you can afford it, spend it.
@@galdessa1True, it's loose change to the big owners.
Certainly can't say it's money well spent at this stage, but he could improve over a longer distance?
I think even more so on turf
@@JPwhoknowsYeah, it might be a better surface for him.
Question is any horse going to be as good as Frankel
Possibly? I think there's a few in the past who would have pushed him close.
City of Troy potentially
Never
sand track at kempton REALLY
Like watching Impaire in the stayers that 😏
